Much the same as others, I moved to GA with a somewhat (at least by my standards) complex tax return. Income split between two states, rental property in a third state, etc. I found Trevor via an ad and figured I would roll the dice and contact him. I was not disappointed. We talked on the phone and he quickly outlined what all he would need and we set a date in February to meet and hand over the necessary documents. I'll admit to being a tad nervous handing a guy I'd never met a CD with all my tax documents, but I need not have worried. Trevor is personable, and clearly both knowledgeable and oddly passionate about his work. How he's that interested in taxes I'll never know, but it was reassuring. After a couple of emails to clarify some of the documents, Trevor had my return (all 58 pages of it) emailed to me for review in about a week. Money and numbers and stuff are all way over my head, but Trevor was very patient with me as we worked our way through several years of back taxes. Filing current taxes, I can manage - it was just all the old stuff I needed taken care of (I wasn't a very responsible kid). He dealt with the ins-and-outs of back taxes for me, so I didn't have to deal with the IRS (I had no idea which years I was even still able to file, and which had been auto-filed for me - Trevor was happy to find out for me!). At the end of it all, he printed everything up all nice and neat, labeled and ready to go - all I had to do was slap a stamp on an envelope and that was that! This was my first time talking to a CPA and I had a lot of questions about how I can take advantage of small business tax breaks based on my current situation. I asked a few questions to get a better idea of the situation and if I could/ could not do certain things (as I do not know the law). Instead of helping me understand the situation, I may be correct or I may be incorrect - but I was looking for answers. The questions were fairly simple - "Can I do this? Can I do that? Will doing this help me?" The responses I got from them were "That is a very weird question", "You are not my client and I don't need to answer your questions". If that was the scenario, why did they set up a call with me? Definitely the worst experience in terms of customer service. read more

Earlier this year I reached out to Fusion to prepare my income tax return. Normally I do my taxes myself, but this year I had an extremely complex return (Multiple states, multiple jobs, single residency). I found Fusion via Google and submitted a request for contact. I received a call within half an hour. (This was near COB on a Friday as well). I described my scenario and was given a rough quote on the phone. Trevor informed me what documents he would need to begin my return so I scanned and sent them over. My taxes were done within just a few business days.
