Sharing another review on another procedure I had done (Invisalign and Crown)…read more I had a rare case with my front tooth (it broke in half at 12 years old) and I've had a bond on it for about 10 years... it's truly amazing how it was able to hold up that long. However, it has definitely been way over due that I needed a crown to replace it. Dr. Nguyen was the one who bonded my original front tooth, so he knew very well about the history behind it. Naturally, I trusted him to take care of my crown. The process was so seamless and the color matched PERFECTLY with all my other teeth. He really cares about his patient's happiness - I can't tell you how many times he kept saying he would do all that he can to get it to match the right color (even if it took several visits which luckily it only took one!) As far as my invisalign treatment, he also was very thorough in telling me how to take care of it during the process. I wore it for about 18 months and I am extremely happy with my results and now can't stop smiling! I have reviewed Dr. Nguyen before, and I am happy to do so again. I have never left disappointed. You best bet you can trust Dr. Nguyen for any dental concerns! He has his best interest in his patients and wants to make sure you walk out that door happy. If not, he'll do everything he can to make sure that you do.

He wanted to write this review himself after the work was completed. Since he is unable to, I am writing this for him. We would never recommend Westlake Dental Care. We had several concerns with the office. My husband was a veteran w/ ptsd. Unfortunately, in the past, he was prescribed a medication that destroyed his teeth. He received his health care from the VA, but of course they do not include dental care in their veteran benefits. We had to choose a cost-effective dentist and he found this office. He was happy with his initial consultation. He needed full mouth extractions and opted to get snap in dentures until he could afford implants. We both signed a estimate during the consultation for $10, 000. He had his first appointment where they took impressions of his mouth so they could make his temporary dentures. Then he was scheduled a couple weeks later for the actual extractions and to get the temporary dentures. His appointment was at 8am. As anyone can imagine, full mouth extractions is a scary and major procedure, especially for someone that struggles with anxiety. We arrived at the office a few minutes before 8am, because we did not want to be late. We went to the office and it was dark, the office was not open yet. We arrived before any employees, which we thought was strange. If he had a major procedure, you would think someone would be there to prepare for it and check patients in on time. I work at a veterinary hospital and we check patients in for surgery every day. We make sure we arrive BEFORE the patients, and they are dogs and cats. We went back to the car and waited. While waiting in the car, we saw some staff walk in so we gave them a couple of minutes and checked in. The appointment took only a little over an hour. It was much quicker than expected. When I first saw Jonathan, he looked to be miserable and I noticed only his top teeth were extracted. He said he had no anesthesia/gas, which was not explained to him ahead of time, he only got numbing shots. He also said they only removed the top teeth because they forgot to order his bottom dentures. (when I confronted the office about this after the fact, they stated it was actually a lab error?, in either case it was their fault. Not ours) Because of this "lab" mistake, he had to set up a 2nd appointment for the rest of the extractions 3 weeks later. They acted like this was no big deal that they only gave him 1/2 of his teeth. It was a huge deal.

It was a very trying time, calling upward 25 different practices looking for emergency dentistry to help during the stay at home order. Nik was opened with limited hours for emergency services. The receptionist was so professional, polite and friendly! My BF said that he felt safe and took comfort in the fact that the doctor was thorough in trying to save the tooth root if he could - the crack was too bad though, and they had to extract it and graph the area. The doctor was very clear when telling us what the plan was to getting a implant and the timelines needed. The receptionist was very knowledgeable about the insurance coverage and gave us multiple options, providing insight as to how we could maximize our deductions and provided us with additional paperwork we could use when filing workers comp and short term disability with his work. Overall, we are very impressed with this practice. Thank you very much for staying open during this crisis. We honestly don't know what we would have done without you!

When I showed the x-rays to another dentist, was told that a medium sized filler will do it, for a fraction of the cost. Also, BEWARE that they call "cavity" any stain on your teeth and you will see a huge list of cavities on the quote they give you. Again, the other dentist showed me in details on my x-rays what is cavity and what's not. I had 2 cavities and not 8 as they had told me here. Save money, time and your enamel and go somewhere else!
