The result was chaos: lines overlapping, crowds that were hard to navigate through, and surround-sound noise from generators making it nearly impossible to hear one another. I'm happy to say they've fixed all that. The trucks and booths are spread out now, surrounding the Harbor Center building in a semi-circle. This helps spread out the lines, crowds, and noise. There's a wide variety of food on offer, so there's something for everyone. Prices range from about $7-12 for a meal, which is pretty reasonable. Inside the Harbor Center is live music and craft/goodie booths. It feels slightly disjointed/cut off from the rest of the festival - I didn't even go inside - but I guess there's not much they can do about that. Overall this is a nice Slidell/north shore event. Worth checking out.
