I called Friday, and was told that the open gym hours for Saturday are from 2-6 PM. I called Saturday and was told that the open gym actually closes at 2:00 PM. The inconsistency of the info made it difficult to plan for a friends bachelor party weekend. If anyone is planning to play here, I'd encourage asking for utmost clarity and calling each day for certainty.

Paula has a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the musculoskeletal system. Which is critical - The last thing I want to do is train wrong and do more damage. Initially, I began training with Paula because of a rotator cuff injury. Paula 's knowledge of anatomy and how the body builds and heals muscles is above and beyond what I expected. ( Experienced she gained from Dental School) I no longer have any issues with my shoulder and still, train with Paula three days a week. Both inside and outside of her studio. Every session with Paula is different, working different parts of the body in the most innovative and fun workouts ever. Yes, they are fun, but also intense, I often have a pleasant soreness after our workouts, but have never been injured from pushing myself hard. Her methods involve weights, stretches, yoga, a little bit of everything, they are very effective. She allows me to push myself further than I would typically my gains have been impressive. Especially when old friends I haven't seen in a long while notice. Recently I attended a "Bootcamp" type training session at another gym just for fun, but without Paula and Karissa's watchful eye and guidance on correct form (her mantra) I injured my knee :-( Mea culpa, won't do that again! Go now while you can still get in! They are THAT good! Most importantly her gym is spotless and has most everything needed for training. It is easy to get to and has plenty of parking. I really liked the personal space/attention. It is nothing like a big gym with all the noise and tons of people. It was a nice change of pace and allowed me to heal my shoulder and live life without surgery or pain. Thanks for everything girls - You girls ROCK.

This is one of my favorite anytime locations…read more It is a small, very small gym with only 1 floor and very limited machines, but it has all the necessary ones and is never packed. This gym is more low-key given the location, so it is never crowded and always has machines available. Most of the time I've been there, I only see maybe 2 to 3 people at most. Has plenty of bathrooms and showers and many weights to lift. It also has lockers you can use with keys so you can lock up your stuff, which is great. Usually after driving from Arizona to Los Angeles, I pass by here. I change; I even shower and tidy up after a gym session to go home smelling fresh. Honestly love this location; wish we had more like this.

Things didn't get off to the best start. The website said the first visit was free, but when I arrived, I was told I didn't qualify because my driver's license was still tied to Los Angeles. I had just moved to Palm Desert and hadn't updated it yet. I let it go because I was planning to sign up anyway. I joined during a promotion and was told my membership would be $23/month with a one-time $1 enrollment fee. I noticed the contract also mentioned $50, so I asked about it. The employee told me it didn't apply to me because I was signing up under the promotion. Two weeks later, I was charged $73. When I asked about it, I was told it was the annual maintenance fee. So there are actually are three different charges: the monthly fee, the annual fee, and the enrollment fee. I wasn't upset about the fee itself - I was disappointed because it hadn't been explained correctly. I continued going mainly to the Palm Desert location for the next two years. The biggest issue is how crowded it gets. Finding parking is almost always difficult, especially in the morning and during the day, and you'll probably end up waiting for several machines. Another downside is that equipment breaks fairly often, and some machines stay out of service for weeks or even months before they're repaired. That said, I do want to give credit where it's due. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming, and they've recently added new equipment, which is nice to see. More recently, my membership went from $23 to $25 per month. It's not not a huge increase, but it was disappointing because I was originally told my promotional rate would stay the same. In the end, the biggest reason I'm leaving is simply that it's become too crowded for me to get a good workout during the hours I can go. One more thing to be aware of: when you cancel, you'll still be charged for one more month because they require 30 days' notice. I wish that had been made clearer from the beginning. I'm grateful to the staff and appreciate the past two years, but it's time for me to find a gym that better fits my schedule and needs.

The workouts are excellent - challenging, yet also easy to adapt to on the days where you aren't bringing your A game. The coaches will motivate you but know when to let you go at your own pace. Regardless, I find classes are always a mood uplifter, keep me sane and I have never regretted showing up for a class. Amy McNulty has done an awesome job as the new owner, and you can tell that the coaches and front desk enjoy working there. Clean, consistent, fun. Great energy all around! Highly recommend!

He is exceptional. Joe is always cheerful, professional, helpful, and genuinely caring. He gives excellent service, offers smart fitness advice, and has a rare ability to make people feel welcome the moment they walk in. He is super-intelligent, highly capable, and clearly takes pride in doing his job at the highest level. In all our years of going to gyms, Joe stands out as one of the very best. The front desk staff was friendly, there was lots of equipment and the gym was very clean. There was 1 machine out of order the first day that I visited, but it was up and running by my second visit. Shark tank because... intimidation builds character? Cryo lounge and recovery room for when you realize 3 hours was an aggressive choice. Plenty of machines and racks, so no excuses!! Sauna was massive, which was great, but it could've been a little hotter. I mean, we're literally in the desert..... so, how are we not sweating like rotisserie chickens in there??? But hey, it got the job done. We showed up, we lifted, and we felt great afer. Can't complain!!!
