Not many gyms have a 5:30 am class which is convenient for my schedule. I love the people, the trainers, and the workouts, it is seriously like a family. The CUT by Capstone program helped transform my body into something I didn't think was possible. They taught me one way of healthy eating, which made a huge difference in the way I look and feel. Capstone trainers take the time to show you the proper form and technique and they push you to higher limits! Christina and James both helped prepare me for my first Bikini competition and I can't thank them enough! Their knowledge and patience were critical during my competition prep. This gym is by far the best out there! I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to transform their body and take it to the next level!

I was 61yo female, about 40 pounds overweight, completely out of shape, sore knees, but with a big competitive athlete within me. Last January I started doing bootcamp with Capstone and it really changed my life. I wish I could tell you it's easy - but the first couple weeks were tough and you really have to hang in with it. My body was adjusting to the workouts. My ego was adjusting to mental strength needed to do these workouts. But it truly does get easier, and one of the best things Christina (owner/trainer) told me when I started was to not try and keep up with the people who've been there for a long time. Just do my own workout and don't give up. Within 3 months I have lost about half the weight, my clothes feel good, and I'm getting stronger every week. It really is a community here, and everybody supports each other wherever they are on their journey. I've been doing some form of fitness training for most of my life. This is one of the best, if not the best, experiences I've had. It's fun, it's fast (45 minutes), it's energizing, and you get real results and meet nice people. The trainers are exceptional as well - it's a small family business and they know what they're doing. Highly recommended. I actually look forward to working out!

After two years of working out here, I've unfortunately decided to cancel my membership. I figured…read moreI'd share my experience in case it's helpful to someone else. Things didn't get off to the best start. The website said the first visit was free, but when I arrived, I was told I didn't qualify because my driver's license was still tied to Los Angeles. I had just moved to Palm Desert and hadn't updated it yet. I let it go because I was planning to sign up anyway. I joined during a promotion and was told my membership would be $23/month with a one-time $1 enrollment fee. I noticed the contract also mentioned $50, so I asked about it. The employee told me it didn't apply to me because I was signing up under the promotion. Two weeks later, I was charged $73. When I asked about it, I was told it was the annual maintenance fee. So there are actually are three different charges: the monthly fee, the annual fee, and the enrollment fee. I wasn't upset about the fee itself - I was disappointed because it hadn't been explained correctly. I continued going mainly to the Palm Desert location for the next two years. The biggest issue is how crowded it gets. Finding parking is almost always difficult, especially in the morning and during the day, and you'll probably end up waiting for several machines. Another downside is that equipment breaks fairly often, and some machines stay out of service for weeks or even months before they're repaired. That said, I do want to give credit where it's due. The staff has always been friendly and welcoming, and they've recently added new equipment, which is nice to see. More recently, my membership went from $23 to $25 per month. It's not not a huge increase, but it was disappointing because I was originally told my promotional rate would stay the same. In the end, the biggest reason I'm leaving is simply that it's become too crowded for me to get a good workout during the hours I can go. One more thing to be aware of: when you cancel, you'll still be charged for one more month because they require 30 days' notice. I wish that had been made clearer from the beginning. I'm grateful to the staff and appreciate the past two years, but it's time for me to find a gym that better fits my schedule and needs.

I've been coming in all week while I'm down here on holiday and I was so happy to see that many of the machines from when I was here a few months ago have been upgraded! Woohoo. The biggest one that matters to me are the treadmills and those are new. Happy to see that planet fitness overall is pretty good at keeping up with their equipment and maintaining a clean and safe gym. I continue to be impressed with this location as the gym is very clean and the staff are as nice as ever. When I came by this week on my birthday the staff acknowledged this and told me happy b-day right away as I guess they can see it on the check in screen. That was a nice touch. The rest of this week staff have continued to be very welcoming and attentive as customers come in. I've gotten a friendly greeting every time so kudos to the staff here. The gym also appears well staffed and I always see them cleaning so extra kudos. Lastly, the women's changing room and bathroom is very nice and big. Bigger than my home gym and it's nice to see. The gym space is physically smaller than my home gym but at least they didn't cut corners in some areas. Nothing they can do about the layout of the space but happy that they have plenty of great equipment and happy I could bump them up a star.
