I had the unfortunate experience of having to pay for remediation services twice in a one year period. Fusion helped me both times, and last time I left a 5-star review. This time my experience was less than ideal. First I'd like to say that the guys who came out and did the actual work did a great job and were professional and reliable. No complaints there. There were two issues. First was cost. The two remediation projects were similar, though the first time there was a lot more extraction work because our main had failed. Over the course of 12 months, the cost of the same project increased 50%. The second issue was communication with the project managers. On one occasion the first project manager ghosted me and then didn't follow up on the phone for two days. On the last day, I asked the guy to have his team show up 30 minutes later so I could help my visiting family members get to the airport. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of accountability and the disorganized nature of this company's billing process. After being sold on an extensive list of services, the actual work required after drywall removal was only a fraction of the original quote. This company over-promised services that were ultimately deemed unnecessary. The company is attempting to hold me to an initial estimate for equipment and days of service that were never actually utilized. Despite the assessment proving a smaller scope of work was needed, they have refused to adjust the billing, essentially charging me for 'phantom' services. Most concerning, however, is the "documentation" provided to justify the work. I was sent a timeline of photos that supposedly showed the progress in my home, but the pictures were of "someone else's house." While my only issue was a fire sprinkler leak in the living room ceiling, they provided photos of a water heater leak in the garage. I have to say the technician that did the work was very professional and friendly. I understand that mistakes can be made, but to bill the homeowner for services that were not needed or unrelated is unscrupulous. I have been incredibly patient, reaching out every two weeks via call and text to get an accurate, updated invoice. Every time, I am brushed off with vague promises that they are "working on it" or "looking into it." It has been weeks without a resolution. I expected professional service and honest documentation, but instead, I've been met with administrative problems and a refusal to correct the bill. I had a very shady experience with one of the project managers, Jeff. I had a leak in the bathtub and called a plumber to come out and assess. The plumber conducted his assessment and said he believed a pipe was bursting at the showerhead. The plumber said I need a demolition team and introduced me to this company. Jeff came out 30 minutes later and began using various machines, stating that I had water damage. He showed me some thermal imaging and this beeping machine that reports "water level," according to him. He then told me my floor was soaked with water. He immediately began asking for insurance information and wanted to start a quote, stating that I needed to call the insurance company within "48 hours" in order to lower the risk of adjusters denying the claim. He said because the insurance language said "immediate and necessary steps," He made it sound like this is a must, and I began doing some research myself while he was busy filling out information. I found no information about adjusters denying claims because I needed more than 48 hours to assess whether my floor is damaged, since no water was leaking out when I didn't turn on the water. While I was doing the research, he drafted the contract and asked me to sign it, and the experience felt like he was pushing to close the contract. Luckily, a claim was never started because the insurance company was closed. I was able to stop mid-way and let him know that I needed some time to research. Jeff's attitude became withdrawn, and he would not share any additional information about his assessment and diagnosis, such as allowing me to take a picture of his thermal imaging. I had a second plumber come out the next day, and it turns out my bathtub leak does not require a full demolition but only a simple parts replacement. I just saved thousands of dollars because of this. I am giving this company two stars because, at a minimum, Jeff accurately described the problem I had with his thermal imaging, yet he kept pushing for a full demolition even when it was not required. Can you give 0 stars? The fusion flood and fire company are scammers, they were called out to my house for a kitchen sink leak. The company sent out a "project manager" named Jeff lang, he tested my walls and cabinets in the kitchen and notified me that the kitchen was " fully saturated, and due to that by law he is required to set drying equipment and is not alllowed to leave until the dry out process begins" as a young first time home buyer with a pregnant wife I didn't know what to do. He had called my insurance company infront of me and had relayed their supposed message that they would take care of everything. So unknowing i said ok to them setting their equipment in my house. During this time they had called a company rapid pack out. Which was also told to me " we work with all these company's and they are all owned by the same owner" after they had packed up our entire kitchen i was told this whole project start to finish would take just a few weeks no longer than a month. They had "set up and coordinated" everything with all the company's involved ( lead and asbestos testing, demo, pack out, etc.) about a week after this all started they got to demoing my kitchen, which they had to call in an abatement company because there was lead. After the demo was complete it took them 2 weeks to coordinate with the insureance company to inspect the house. After another week i was notified that they would not be covering the claim (contrary to what fusion flood and fire said to me) so after about 4 weeks of waiting i was told i was "out of luck". Stuck at home with no kitchen, no walls, and a 7-month-pregnant wife, I ended up putting the house back in my self ( to livable condition) spending about 10K out of my own pocket I don't have, and then receiving bills from Fusion Flood and Fire for over 5K plus the demo company for another 5K plus the testing agency for 3k plus and the pack-out company for another 1500. Oh, but do not worry, I was told by the "owner" that they were going to help me by calling the insurance and fighting them for me. About another 2 weeks go by with no contact, and I get collections from the companies. So not only do they lie and tell you things just to get in the house, but they do not help and will bill you anyways. IT GETS BETTER. They called me to say "we're sorry and we understand all this going on, we're going to help by cutting your bill in half." FYI, no, that does not help. I got my kitchen put back together no thanks to them. You should not have even done the work without the permission from the insurance stating they were going to cover it. I recently went on to their reviews and saw that I am not the only person they have pulled this scam on. Also, on BBB, they have complaints for this exact same thing. The "owner" will reply to some, not all, of the complaints online arguing with people trying to play the "small business owner victim." Make sure if you have the misfortune of working with this company, you have a great lawyer on standby. You are scammers and frauds. Thank you for ruining my life because of you. We used Fusion due to the plumber's recommendation after having a water leak. They responded quickly and said they would take care of everything, even coordinating the reconstruction company. This isn't the first time I've had to use a mitigation company so I was happy they were going to coordinate with reconstruction as well. Big mistake! I was quoted 6 weeks and it took over 7 months to get the job finished...mostly from the reconstruction company but Fusion did not care and took no accountability, even though it was organized through them. With the pricing, I was reassured that the insurance company would cover the mitigation costs. But now, I'm left with a huge bill after I already paid them 100% of what the insurance company deemed fair and market value. Fusion just constantly said that they will get it from insurance and "this is just the process." Fusion's prices were inflated and excessive equipment and equipment time was used. They even charged for protecting the floors that were planned on being demolished based on their recommendation! Do not go with this company! They were very fast to respond and conduct a full under house inspection with a very high level of professionalism and understanding. They allowed for a down payment with payment plan which was very helpful for a large ticket item as this. I was referred to Fusion Flood and Fire by my plumber, and overall am pleased with the support Eddie and his demo team provided during the water mitigation process. It was stressful to authorize work prior to my insurance company acknowledging how much they'd cover, but my claim was ultimately approved and paid thanks to the photos and documentation Fusion provided in those early hours. Things moved very fast once they arrived, and within an hour I had humidifiers in my bathroom and an insurance claim filed. I did not request a cash estimate upfront like some others mentioned, and authorized them to work with my insurance company directly. As a result I was not copied on the claim forms or estimates submitted to insurance, and in retrospect some transparency here would have relived some of my anxiety with the potential costs, should insurance not come through fully. Luckily they did come through for me, but once Fusion exits the process, much of the insurance process and repairs were barely just getting started so do your due diligence. For example, FFF planned to take out both my toilets due to risk of melting a small wax ring with the humidifiers. This would have rendered my home unnecessarily uninhabitable due to no working bathroom and require me to move my dogs and home office into an Airbnb. I told them staying in my home was my priority, so Eddie agreed to leave one usable bathroom since the toilet was not demo-dependent. Had I not pushed for this, I'd be living and working out of a suitcase for weeks because of a tiny wax ring. More demo isn't always better, so my biggest recommendation would be to work with homeowners to try and maintain habitability unless critical to mitigation. read more

Fusion was called out by my plumber after he cut a pipe while doing a repair. Jeff came out on Saturday measured no water but decided that since the floors are brand new he would put a dehumidifier and air scrubber in the bathroom over the weekend. On Monday morning as we were instructed my wife went to unplug the machines only to find their machine had been leaking for who knows how long. I called in a panic and they sent Hugo out within 2 hours who found that the baseboards were wet and he needed to remove them to inspect further, I asked who would be replacing them and he said he had to call to get approval which he did. I spoke with Jeff from Hugo's phone before he left and was told that he would have information on scheduling repair in a few minutes, 24hrs later and no call, I called Jeff again he stated that yes it was the fault of their machine and yes they will be repairing the baseboards before we go on vacation. I told Jeff that based on the lack of confidence so far I wanted something in writing stating is was their fault and they would repair things. He agreed and said he would write something up and email it over. Here I sit more than an hour after the conversation and still no email. At this point I would definitely not recommend Fusion Fire and Flood. They state they give homeowners peace of mind but have done nothing but cause unnecessary stress. read more

I am giving two stars because while the company's work is good, their tactics dealing with my insurance company were unscrupulous. A plumber named Ivan referred the company to me after assessing a leak in my wall. Nick from Fusion swooped in and began working and contacted my insurance company. In hindsight I should have filed my insurance claim first and that was my fault. However, when a homeowner is in a distressed state, you just want the work done. I did demand a written quote and was quoted $4500; however, Fusion proceeded to bill my insurance company $9,000. I assure you they did not do $9,000 worth of work on my home. Luckily I declined Fusion's referral for reconstruction. Stay far away from this company. They are like ambulance chasers but for insurance companies. read more
