We went to try this place for the first time, so we called twice before driving there and no one answered and there was no message saying they were closed. Since there was no message saying they were closed, we assumed that maybe they were too busy to answer the phone. We drove there to find out they closed at 2pm for a "mental health day :)". Literally a smiley face on their sign. You should think about your customers and at least put on an answering machine that says you're closed. I feel like that's the least you can do if you're not going to keep your advertised hours. read more

Had dinner here while visiting the area, and although I live in the Seattle area currently, I am a native Floridian and this place offers a kind of mix of Mexican and Cuban that actually works really well. Also, my wife is vegan and they offer quite a few vegan options which unlike many places, the vegan choices are made with care and attention to detail, creative and flavorful. I had the Cuban sandwich, which although it was their own unique version of it, was tasty and made with top quality ingredients, I also had a chorizo and cheese empanada which was outstanding, as was the jackfruit empanada my wife had. Definitely worth trying this place, excellent food at reasonable prices with a cozy, neighborhood pub ambiance, thank you Chris for a great dining experience. read more

We three were really happy to finally visit this cute spot this evening! Greeted by the very friendly and helpful owner who was eager to explain the menu and specials. We chose well with a Chorizo burger with jucca on the side, three delicious pulled pork tacos and a Mexican bowl with lots of good stuff. Mexican sweet corn and empanadas were also excellent and we were happy to bring food home. Relaxed, nicely decorated, good beer selection and we were happy to bump into friends who are regulars. So I've eaten at Fusion street since the food truck days and was super excited they made a brick and mortar. We've eaten there quite a few times, but after last night's experience we probably won't eat here anymore. The sangria was the redeeming part (delicious and tasted homemade). I ordered my regular and almost every part of my meal was lacking in some way. I got 3 different types of meat tacos (the Birria kind with the little taco waters) and it tasted like super spicy but flavorless bullion water. It was so disappointing and I ran out after one taco (really frustrating when you have 3). All 3 different meats were dry or poor cuts (the steak was rubbery and fatty and again no flavor). I like a little heat but it was overpowering with a lack of flavor. We also ordered a Cuban, which was not terrible, but again had overly dry meat that to me lacked flavor. Sides were dry and reheated (rice and beans) and guac too was flavorless. Ironically the French fries were my favorite part. This might be acceptable for a food truck, but when this was a $50 meal for two, it's not ok. So disappointed. Too many other awesome food places close by that are awesome. read more

Please, please ,please go to this place. We love it and want it to stay open. It tends toward Latin/Mexican food but done with imagination. They have great empanadas with all sorts of fillings. We had pumpkin, plantain,beef and beef and cheese. My husband loves their bean burger and I like their beans,yellow rice and meat(your choice) bowls. Everyone we have gone there with has loved it. The service is great but everything is made to order so you might have to wait a bit longer than for "fast" food. If your nearest and dearest are vegetarians there are plenty of options. It is very reasonably priced and you won't leave hungry. Please patronize this restaurant. My husband will be very unhappy if he can't get their black bean burger. read more

We wanted to order take but were tired of the usual and wanted to try something different. Checked out this new place on Patricia Ave in Dunedin. I got some empanadas and the Cuban sandwich the owner suggested. I love the flaky crusty empanadas out of the three versions I liked the beef best. All of them were excellent. The Cuban sandwich was extremely good a burst of flavors and the pickle inside gave it a nice crunch. That's the best Cuban I ever had. It came with a healthy serving of fries. Definitely a great take out place to add to the few choices we have around here. read more

We were excited to try this place after reading the reviews...maybe it was an "off" night but we were extremely disappointed. The amount of meat in the tacos was laughably meager. The "steak" in both the tacos and the Mexican bowl was more like ground beef (minced) and FULL OF GRISTLE. Too bad...it's so close to our new home, but we will not be back anytime soon. read more

Just ordered using Uber Eats and everything was fantastic. The Cuban was one of the best I've had (I ordered without the garlic sauce. I'm a traditionalist and believe Cubans should only have mustard!). My wife ordered the tofu chorizo tacos and was in heaven. The beans and rice were tasty and flavorful.
