I will never come here again. I came here to get french tip, and the lady was doing it awful. so i showed her a picture of how i specifically wanted it. She proceeds to tell me that's its gonna be $10 extra on top of the fee of $5 for french tip because it was considered "design" i said how is it extra and it's literally french tip. Anyway i told her to do it regular because she wasn't doing it right anyways. So then she keeps doing it wrong and i just ask for someone else to do it, she tells me no bc they're busy and i need to get a solid color. at this point im extremely irritated so i just say do white , mind you the shape of my toes weren't even correct. She started being rough and rude. So she charged me full price and i was supposed to get eyebrows done but i told them i just wanted to pay and leave. The lady told me i could wait to get them redone but why would i do that for yall to charge me full price and me still not be happy? i highly do not recommend this place !!!!! read more

Looks nothing like my picture I showed and the lady I had argued with me the whole time about the shape of my nail. When I told her one part was uneven it needed more filing and showed her she said wait and continued to do something else. I had a flannel patter on each nail and she didn't tell me till the end that she doesn't usually do designs and it explained a lot. read more

I went in for a manicure with gel polish - which was written on sign in sheet. To make a long story short- I left with no manicure, gel polish, chrome which she did not tell me was an upcharge, and a design...which was pretty and I didn't have a problem paying for. I would not however have had the chrome powder added if I had known it added $10. She rushed through the service and I will not go back. I would advise you to not agree when they try to get you to add something without asking what the charge is. To me that is not being honest. The main reason I went was for a manicure. Part of the problem is not being able to understand them clearly. I would not recommend this salon. read more

Poorest service I ever received!! When the nail tech finished my nails, my hands broke out with a rash. The brush she used was so hard and she kept trying to get me to do something I didn't want. Never again!! They try to do to many customers at one time also. read more

I only gave 1 star because I couldn't rate it any lower. Firstly, the service is horrible. It took over 2 hours for them to do my nails since my lady kept getting up to answer the phones and help customers who came in with complaints about their nails. I should've left then and there but I was half way into my nail service. When I asked for another person to do my nails (since my lady kept leaving) the man kept telling me that it was my fault since the nails I had on were too hard to remove (even though they came off in ten minutes). The lady who did my nails was very old and kept shaking/forgetting what the design was which is most likely why I got the results I did. Will not be coming back here and I advise you not to either. read more

This is the second time my daughter and I have tried this place (first time was years ago). First off, when you walk in, all the workers seem to be in a rush and aren't very considerate when it comes to taking their time with each customer (money hungry). Secondly, I was taken by a woman named "Kathy" and because I didn't decide on a color quick enough for her she tried to point out a color for me that "matched my shirt".... Really? The worst part of my experience was when I told her I want my nails oval shaped. I have never had someone screw up the shape of my nails like this lady did. Both of my daughters and husband all agreed they look horrible. I felt like she rushed through all of it, as did most of the workers... my daughters nails came out decent. Ended up being charged $130 for nails I'm not even happy with. The only reason we came there is because we both had nails needing replaced and our typical nail guy is closed on Sundays (Deja Vu Nails- Lee). I will never, ever step foot in this place again. All the care about is the money and getting as many people in and out as possible. I had to come home and file my own nails to the correct shape which in turn took off my gel polish on the sides on each nail. They look so bad and I'm so disappointed. Also, their workers need to try and be more friendly and keep in mind they're working for US. Never again. read more

I've been going to this salon for several years. It's neat & clean & the staff is friendly. Mostly they do a good job, but my last visit was not so good. First, I had an 11:00 appt. I was finally taken to a pedicure chair at 11:45. Helen did my pedicure. It seems if you don't get the deluxe which is $10 more, they don't spend too much time on the bottom of your feet. The polish looked good so I didn't complain. Then I was passed off to a man to get SNS on my fingernails. I got this guy the last time and was disgusted to see that HIS nails were filthy. This time his nails were clean but he burned MY nails several times and scraped my fingers with the sander. Someone asked did I complain to the manager? No, these folks are all related. What's the manager gonna do to a relative? I'm shopping for a new salon. read more

I came to this nail salon after a HORRIBLE experience at another one. They were able to fix my nails, were friendly and made sure I was comfortable most of my visits. I had the same man for several visits and he did amazing! However the last two times I went I was switched to a woman who cut my fingers with the files because she wasn't even looking down when doing them. It was painful and began bleeding and when I pulled away when she did it, she grabbed my hand and firmly pulled it back and told me not to do that. I haven't returned but if I knew I could get the original man that did them, I would definitely come back. read more

This business clearly doesn't train technicians on eyebrow waxing. A female employee waxed my eyebrows and severely burned my skin, after I told her the wax was too hot as I seen she had microwaved it she said no worry she knows what shes doing. She was VERY RUFF with me Rubbing with too much force. Then took a dry cotton ball and rubbed ruffly the wax from my skin that the strip didn't cover.. this excess wax was there because she used way to much and covered more skin than necessary. I made a FB review and after replying several times to their comments they blocked me so I couldn't reply anymore. The reply I made was highlighted in red which means they had blocked it so other people couldn't see. read more

I used to come here pretty regularly, and was satisfied most of the time, so I decided to come back for a mani/pedi. Let's just say, the pedicure was so painful that I canceled my request for a manicure and left right away. Be prepared when you walk in for them to yell "What you want?" The lady doing my toes cut them so short that I was holding back tears as she did them. The hot towels were boiling, the water was so hot my feet feel burned. I don't think I'll be good back here any time soon. I decided to go back again after this experience to give it just one more try - for a gel mani. Once I sat down, the nail tech started using her long, sharp, pointy red fingernails to push my cuticles back - not an actual tool. Needless to say, several of my nails bled throughout the rest of the manicure, to which she laughed "I cut too short" and then poured straight alcohol on them!! I tried to give this place a chance but I will never be back. read more

I'm new to Hickory and have been here twice now. Both times were good but do expect to wait a little bit. I had shellac pedicures, and nail dipping powder. Bother times were good. I would only ask they be clear with the pricing- when I finished my nails she said "$45" then said "$48". its a few dollars so I didn't ask but I just prefer they are more clear when billing you. Other than that, the salon is clean, has nice vibes and I will be back. read more

As much as I love coming here and their work quality, I will say I was disappointed for a second time. I checked in at 1:38 and I was the only one in the lobby waiting. Shortly after more customers started to arrive and they signed in after me. Two ladies advised they had appointments at 2:00. They were told to sit down and wait. 5 minutes later the two ladies that claimed they had appointments were sat down and I was skipped. I mind you I didn't say anything. Another 15 minutes went by and I asked the front desk how much longer my wait was when she initially told me "not long of a wait at all". (Keep in mind it's already been 35 minutes since I arrived.) She told me I'm getting ready to sit you down in a chair, I replied ok. I got sat down at 2:30 and waited another 35 minutes for them to start on my pedicure. So a whole hour and 10 minute wait, my water got ice cold and ran through the chair message 2 and a half times before being attended. Again I love their services but this is the second time I've had to wait so long when I was told it was only a short wait. I've tried to set appointments over the phone before and I was told they don't take appointments but somehow 2 individuals show up saying they have appointments. I really hope they can be a little more honest with their wait times instead of just saying, a short wait or not long at all. I understand it's Friday, however, for as long as I've waited to be attended I could have went to another salon instead of sitting in a message chair soaking my feet in cold water. read more

They really don't deserve a star at all. My sister and I had a terrible experience yesterday. We went in as a walk-in for service and they made my sister sit for an hour while they did my full set but all she needed was a repair and polish change. My sister said there was at least 5/6 that walked in with more extensive work and they escorted them back and made her sit there until she got fed up and told them never mind and walked out. I too would give this place a zero if I could. Went in on July 7, 2016 for a new set for a special occasion. Got waited on by a young guy. He was very slow but seemed to know what he was doing. I wear my nails a bit longer, not claws but past the tips of my fingers. Got charged 40 dollars (plus a tip). Went home and was getting ready for bed, nail breaks off for no reason. Next day I call, I tell them what happened. They say come in. When I get there, they tell me they are not taking any more customers. I say....I just called and was told to come in. Older woman looks at my nails and asks me who did them. I point him out. She is obviously pissed off and speaks to him in another language. She sits me down to fix the nail and proceeds to tell me they are too long. They were definitely not too long. I know women, including myself, who have had them way longer and they are on for weeks. So the nail gets fixed and t h e original guy walks over and gives me a lecture about how they are too long and when they are that long, they will just break off. Uhhhhh.....no. I have been getting my nails done for 30 years. I know what they will and won't stand for. As if a MAN who has never worn them would know! So I leave. Next day after my special event, another one flies off. Before the end of the day....another. Day after that....two more. I finally cut them down. Took side view pictures of the tops and there was no wonder why they were breaking. They were literally as thin as paper. Never, in all my years of nails have I ever seen anything like that. They had no layer of gel on the actual nail. He put some on there all right, but not enough...or...he sanded it all off. I will NEVVVVER go back. One would think that the older woman (Manager? Owner?) would have easily seen what I saw....and have plenty of pictures of....that the nails had no gel on them. EXCEPT the one that she fixed! Chargeback being filed on my credit card. I'm not paying for incompetence.....and being lectured. Like this was my first rodeo. I'm disgusted. Pictures don't lie. read more

I went to have a fill in. I told them before I started I have white tips on my acrylics. I wanted a design with nude under it. Instead of listening she proceeded to do a light clear pink color. When she started the design i told her again I did not want the tips to show through. She gets very pissy proceeded to shit talk me in Hmong. While she is doing this she is redoing the nails. She is being extremely rough to the point my finger began to bleed. During this she also messes up two of my other nails becuase she didn't allow the gel to cure. She then gets snappy with me and gives me the help selection and I told her for a second time the color I wanted under the design and she proceeded to tell me it won't match. It's literally a nude. When she gets to the design she was pissed and messed them up multiple times. She also continues to talk with someone else who continues to look over and acted like they looked like shit. When she finished o ask her to at least do too coats on the nails she messed up she did it was hateful and rough. It was totally uncalled for. I'm sorry but if I am paying for it do it how I ask not whatever you want. There is also particular under the topcoat which she didn't care to clean up. I will never go back. read more

I came here to get my nails done on the fourth of July weekend because my regular salon was closed. There was a long wait but I dealt with it because it was a holiday weekend but I wanted my nails to look nice for my grandmother's 80th birthday party. I got seated after an hour wait and the guy who did nails was not friendly at all! He didn't ask me if I liked square or rounded tips and he filed away at the sides of my nails so hard that it hurt. it felt like he was cutting me with the emery board. I asked for the tips of my nails to be painted blue. When he put the paint on he didn't even wait for it to dry before putting on the clear coat and it smudged one of the nails. He removed the polish fixed it and then just haphazardly smeared the clear coat over it. He then got up and left to go do a pedicure. I had to stop another employee and ask them to fix it because it was rough and horrible looking. They sent him back over and he again did a horrible job. They didn't seat me at a drying table they told me to hold my hands in front of a tiny desk fan and it didn't get the polish dry after I sat there for 25 more minuets. The polish came off by the time I walked to my car. I was very upset and I will NEVER go back to this salon again. read more
