Visited for the first time the other day and ordered two fish tacos with queso. Common theme to my experience = bland. Queso barely had any flavor and tacos tasted like lettuce and tortilla. Customer service was also bland. Way too many great taco places in the area to waste money here again. read more

I really like the food at this restaurant. But today was not the same, I'm not sure if it's a staffing issue or time management issue. We dined in and the food took 45 minutes. I could have been in and out of a typical Mexican restaurant in that time. I saw one of our meals sit under a heating lamp for 10 minutes before the rest of the food was done. While waiting we witnessed a employee with beats headphones on fill his cup about 5 different times and dancing more then working and checking his phone . The bartender and front cashier were all on par. But everyone else can use some coaching. read more

First time here and I am not impressed. The order line was very slow but the girl taking the order was friendly and helpful. The menu is huge. I hate the do not list price of a drink. They only list upcharged souvenir drink. We went to get our chips order and the cooks ignored us. Finally it was filled with her dumping a ton of salt seasoning on it. We had to brush off the chips to even make them semi edible. We had 2 or more tbsp on the tray. The queso was bland and flavorless. We had to get someone to stock forks so that we could eat after our main food was ready. We ordered two tacos potatoes and rice for the entree. The potatoes were the best part of the whole meal. The cilantro lime rice was ok. The brisket taco was ok. Juicy but flavor was missing. The chicken taco was bland and lacked flavor. We had cinn sugar churros had not even half a tsp of topping on them. Just tasted like fried dough. I had to ask two different workers. First said they were supposed to be that way but second had a new order made. Overall I am less than impressed. read more

Based on just food/cost Fuzzy's is in the 3-4 star range but we've had really good luck with Service which really tips the scale towards us going more often with kids. Mahal in particular has been really helpful and polite on a couple of occasions. read more

Well I normally never do this but I guess I will. A one star rating is the lowest I could leave so I guess that's what it is. I'd love to be able to tell you about the food but I can't. We never received it!! Walked in, there was a line of 7 or 8 people in front of us, the bartender yelled over I can wait on you over here. We went over there and ordered and she said because we ordered at the bar she would bring our food to us. 20 minutes later no food. She walked by and said she is checking on it. Came back and said kitchen is real backed up and apologized and said probably another 15 minutes. WTF? We waited another 15 and when I began to see other that came in waaaaay behind us getting their food we got up and left. On the way out I saw the waitress and before I could get a word out she said I don't blame you for leaving. It was her first day. read more

This is a new taco chain in Toledo. It's on day 2 of opening weekend. Out bill was $36 for 2 taco platters, a burrito, churros, chips with salsa and 2 drinks. A little pricey for 3 people for fast food and a clean up your own area restaurant. The menu offers a nice variety, but the cashier didn't have knowledge regarding mist of the items. For example, they offer one type of salsa and he didn't know if it was spicy. I asked about the sopapillas and he had to go ask about them. I asked them if they were soft or crunchy. He came back and said they were fried. I asked the question again, and he said he didn't know. I asked him about the two rice types spice level and he didn't know. By the way the cilantro lime has a little kick. The person with the other taco platter didn't want the garlic sauce so they didn't put it on mine either. The food came out fast. The burrito and fajita tacos were good. The shrimp tempura taco had dark brown shrimp that were VERY crunchy. It was not the normal light and fluffy tempura batter. I'm sure the tacos would have been better with the sauce. They claimed they had table service, but nobody checked on us so I had to clean the table. The fire roasted salsa was delicious. The churros needed a lot more sugar coating, there was barley any. Unfortunately, my husband was celebrating his birthday. He wanted a new restaurant and a good meal. I was excited to see a new taco shop in the area but Fuzzy's was not what I expected. We ordered a variety of food and each one of them had their problems....the burrito was soggy, the meat in both the nachos and the tacos were gross and not seasoned and our beans looked like they had been sitting out. Alright -- duke here. My first visit to Fuzzy's was yesterday. My second, today. The staff is extremely friendly, the tacos are on point, and the place is really spacious and pleasant. I can't get enough of the grilled shrimp tacos. The garlic sauce is crazy. Once they work all the kinks out and get used to the computers, etc, this place will be bumping. Heard about Fuzzy's when I was in Texas last and wanted to give it a try. I was so excited to find one in Toledo, Ohio! Got the combo plate... the taco, cilantro rice and potatoes were really good! The cheese enchilada was ok, but not the flavors I was expecting. Maybe I ordered wrong? The chips were really good but the queso was white cheese, which is fine, but not traditional Tex Mex. So, that was disappointing. Also, I just wanted a small side of chips and queso. They were able to give me a small queso but not a small chip. Not sure if I paid full price on that or not because I didn't keep the receipt. They should definitely offer a smaller order though. Loved the Mango tea! I would definitely go back and try some other things on the menu when I go to Ohio, but wouldn't waste my time when in Texas because It just doesn't rise to the level of my favorites list there. But it's a great fast food option, better than Moe's or Chipotle. read more

Walked in around 12:40 to one person in line, thinking ok this will be quick, ordered 1 fish and 1 shrimp taco to go...20 minutes later my tacos were brought to me in a paper bag inside a plastic bag. Had to make sure there were tacos in the big because it felt like I was carrying a bag of air. They were in there , to tiny packages wrapped in foil. Asked for some mild sauce and was told we only had butt burnin sauce...no thanks. Got back to work to eat and apparently I ordered the bite size tacos (see pics) sauce packet laid next to taco for scaling purposes. $3 shrimp taco with 4 salad shrimp on taco. Taco is very similar to Del Taco's, no taste. Fish taco tasted a lot better. Would of liked to got some chips and cheese, but not going to pay an additional $4 on top of the $5.28 I paid for the bite size tacos. read more

My wife and I love fuzzy's. The ingredients are high quality. Not like the cheap, commercialized ingredients of most "Tex-Mex" places. The fuzzy's hot sauce is also amazing. The margaritas aren't that cheap, pre-made junk. And the price point for the portion of food is unbelievable. We come at least once a week. read more

Stopped in on my way to work and ordered one shrimp taco with no feta no lettuce and two bottled waters to go. After I paid the girl let me know they didn't have bottled water even though it was on the menu. Hmmmmm. Ok. I'll stop somewhere else no biggie I guess. It took about 10 minutes to get my taco and I headed to work. I was so excited to eat my taco only to open it and find it had both lettuce and feta on it. YUCK! I took a few bites but it just wasn't what I wanted and I didn't finish it. Tried this place for the first time and there are definitely pros and cons. Pros: the beef tacos and fajita chicken quesadillas are delicious. If I were to go back, i would for sure get those again. But will i go back? Hmm... Cons: literally everything else about my experience here. From he minute i walked in the door, not a single employee was friendly, welcoming or interested in making sure my visit was a good one. After i ordered and paid for my food i was handed a buzzer and basically given no idea where to pick it up, where to go, if i could have a seat while i waited, told how long it would be...nothing. After 10 minutes (ie...a very long time, and this place was NOT busy at all) i went to the grill line to get my food (i had to watch other people to know this is the routine) and placed my buzzer beside another buzzer that was already sitting up there, and was told by an annoyed employee "you need to put it in that basket over there, and then your food is right here." No "thank you", "enjoy", "come again", nothing. So i grabbed my food and began to leave, but thankfully i had the foresight to check my bag...and of course, they forgot part of my order. So i had to go back to Mr. AnnoyedToBeATWork and point out that i was missing food (which was still on the grill). "Sorry" i was told, and that was it. The rest of the food was mediocre at best: the brisket nachos were a snooze and the chicken burrito was bland. read more

The one thing that I've learned in my years managing/running various restaurants is that average food seems much better when it's presented with great customer service. I fully understand that Fuzzy's Taco is not a full service restaurant, but that doesn't mean you should remove the entire word of service from the experience. This was my first (and probably last) time at this restaurant and I explained that to the young lady when I arrived. There was very little assistance with their menu or the process of picking up my order. After getting my food, I sat down to eat and it was nothing spectacular, but nothing too bad either. I sat right behind a manager that made no effort to ask if I was having a positive experience at their restaurant. It should have been easy to communicate at this time since there were no more than 5 customers in their dining area. I proceed to leave and another bartender and/or manager is standing near the trash can that I'm going to deposit my trash in and he makes no effort to dispose of it or even acknowledge me as a customer. He just casually slid out of the way and went to talk to the other manager who was seated in front of the trash can. I've Managed at both Chick-fil-A and Zaxby's and any employee that I've had has been told that we serve our customers first even if it's "not your job". The food was good. Better than you find at most fast food places. Note that sour cream for the burritos is an extra charge which we found out by surprise when there wasn't any in the burrito. By the time you get a drink and the food the price is on the upper end of what we normally pay for this kind of meal. When we stopped in they were not real busy yet, but service was still very slow. Employees are friendly, but kind of distracted. They seem really new and still disorganized, so I'd expect that to improve over time. read more

Really good food wise, I got the tempura shrimp taco and a brisket taco. The brisket taco was good but not amazing but the feta cheese and lettuce were definitely refreshing, I recommend getting everything on them because the flavors mesh well. The tempura shrimp taco on the other hand was amazing, the shrimp were crispy, flavorful, and juicy. That being said, the portions aren't huge but also aren't that expensive. Definitely worth at try and has some things you can't get anywhere else but overall was only good, not great. read more

So very disappointing. I LOVE Mexican food and had heard good things, but I guess that food is like anything else: subjective. I walked in at lunchtime and it was virtually empty. I ordered a shredded chicken burrito. Burrito was soggy, chicken grossly overcooked, had I not put salsa on it I doubt it would have had much of a taste at all. Overall I was highly unimpressed. Went to place a to go order. At first I was given he wrong order so I had to drive back. When I went back to pick up the order instead of it under the warmer or something it was with someone at the front which made the food cold by the time I opened the box. Then the silver ware and the sauce packets had some weird stains on them so I don't really know where they were kept and make me not want to use it. This was my first time to Fuzzy's for quick family dinner. This place is as good if not better than Chipotle or Moe's. I had a spicy pork burrito it was good size at a good price. My boys both loved their fajita beef burritos. My picky wife enjoyed her shredded chicken quesadilla. We will be back. What a great addition to the fast cas offerings in Toledo. read more

Tacos sub-par but the sides were incredibly bad. I felt like I microwaved leftover potatoes cubes from dinner three weeks ago. It took about 60 min to get my food and I had to wait in line for about 20! Very close quarters at the restaurant. Just plain bothersome. Fuzzy's is good if you want sketchy service and okay food. Not the best Mexican I have had in the area but overall it is fair. Have been here several different times during the day, if you come later in the night expect to be rushed out starting at 9:00 even though they close at 10:00pm. Bar started shutting down and I had to ask if I could get another drink because caps were put on beer taps and frozen machine was shut down. A couple of weeks ago I was in the westgate area and thought I would try one of the new restaurants that have opened recently. I chose Fuzzys taco shop what a disappointment. I ordered 1 fish taco (soft shell) and Baja chx tortilla soup. I took two bites of the taco and didn't notice any fish, I opened the shell and noticed one little piece of fish that was left and I truly didn't notice any fish before I looked in the shell. The soup was so salty that I had to leave at least half. There are too many good restaurants in this town I won't be back read more

The food tasted really good but the portions are tiny . For 11 dollars that included a small drink I was not full . I got the taco platter that comes with two tacos and two sides . At the very least the sides need to be bigger . My two sides were both rice and there just wasn't enough there . Rice is cheap guys , come on ! Restaurants that are small portioned do not last long . So unless they are offering specials on certain days or if I find coupons I may not go back . But again , the food was great but was a bit cold .
