I dropped my iPhone 5S last night cracking the screen after almost 4 years of not having any issues. Well after doing a Yelp look up I found FXitRight and loved the reviews. Let me preface this review by stating that I was enticed to leave a glowing review (as I assume the bulk of the preceding posters) not by the merit of the product or service I received, but by the $10 discount I was given for doing so. I'm not typically one to write a review, let alone to shine a negative light on a small business, but in this case I feel it's justified. I always take care of my phones. I live a very active lifestyle and have a very active job, so my phone takes tumbles on occasion. To combat my phone's unruly and self-loathing physics experiments, I constantly keep my phone in VERY rugged protection. Is it bulky? Yes. Is it unsightly? Yes. Has the same case that I buy over and over again saved my ass countless times save the one freak accident that led me on this journey to FXitRight? A thousand times YES. Every inch of my phone is covered in three layers of protection with the exception a pinky nail of space where the ear speaker and selfie-lovers' camera reside. It was one fateful morning that my toddler decided to slide my MacBook off of the couch cushion and send it hurtling through time and space the entire 7 1/2" fall onto my iPhone. There wasn't a fear in my heart as I picked the aluminum body from the smartest of phones, for this technological fortress was impregnable! It was at that moment I received a message, but lo'... there was no light upon the screen. I tilted the formerly perfect plane of glass until the overhead light played off of the myriad of cracks that spread from the camera port like the buttresses of a tweaker house spider's web. I called around and FXitRight had the best deal. I was happy with the service and the price, but my happiness was short lived. Within a month, I would be standing in the same sparsely furnished office with a much different outlook and satisfaction level. After the most minor of first falls (still encapsulated in a behemoth of a case, mind you!) on a shock-absorbing corner, my presumed OEM GORILLA GLASS screen was veined like a snow flake in an act that didn't even scuff the plastic of my case. I am no physics teacher, nor a scientist of any kind. I do, however, have a pulse and therefore am a living human being that understands the unlikely swirl of mechanics and chance that must have taken place to break the exact same screen material in the exact same case that I have recurrently purchased ONLY for its unparalleled and constantly proved protection. Therefore, there are only two logical explanations to this situation. Either the screen installed on my beloved iPhone was not OEM quality glass or God hates my iPhone. I was graciously offered a discount. Instead of $160 for two, IMHO subpar, screens I could buy two (the original and the PURCHASED replacement) for $130. Sound like a steal to you too? While I could stomach the notion of paying $80 for two fragile screens and wrapping the second in bubble wrap and navigating through packing peanuts to play angry birds, I couldn't live with myself for paying more for something I am almost certain will break easily with just the right wind direction. I hope this review curbs potential patrons' expectations and adjust the way they do business. read more

So let me start off by saying, fxitright should be the first and only place you go to for an iPhone repair. PERIOD. I cracked my screen, and called several different shops after going to the Apple Store. The Apple Store said it couldn't be fixed and I needed a complete new phone that would cost 250. (Ridiculous) several other shops quoted me $150-180. But each shop swore they were better than the other. I was looking for a deal bc for 175 I could get a new phone w. My insurance. I came across Fxitright Brian answered I told him my problem and quoted me $105 over the phone as long as I made a review on Yelp regarding my experience. He said he wanted to know good or bad how my experience was. I liked that, it said something about his character, like regardless he needed to know. I told him I would be in after 10 if he could please message me the address. I had a text the second I got off the phone. (Efficient) I showed up, it wasn't hard to find and he told me that he thought it was for a 6 not a 6 + but would honor the price. He didn't have a black screen but could get one in a few min and the phone would be done in 45 min. I sat on the couch and worked on some things while they worked on my phone. By honoring the price and going out to get the right screen in a matter of minutes it should me the type of Business he was running. HUMBLE, PROFESSIONAL, HONORABLE, EFFICIENT, and CONFIDENT. He had an apprentice working w. Him, he explained what he was doing, to him and had him help out.(very hands on) He assured me he was very smart and had been doing this for a while. I like when someone is so confident in they're work they're not afraid to share knowledge. About 30 minutes into it he offered me a tempered glass protector for an additional $10. A discount w. the service. I like that he was saving me money t mobile sold me the same thing for $50!!! (That got returned) In total I paid $125. $115 for the service w. Screen protected and $10 gratuity. My screen is better than ever. And I'll definelty be referring to fxitright. Brian is great at what he does, uses amazing quality products. He's so confident in his work he gives a warrantee. He made sure I knew if there was any problem to not hesitate to call him and even if my screen protector got scratched or lint under it he would replace it at no cost. This is not a very good experience. Called store location to get a quote, person that answer the phone didn't announce the store name and sounded like someone's cell phone. My 2 1/2 year old iPad suddenly showed the White Screen of Death. The Apple Store guy was sympathetic but ineffectual. He didn't know what was wrong. I then had a hard time finding a repair person who did more than replace broken phone and iPad screens. Through Yelp, I found Fx It Right (now Fx it Cell). Brian is the proprietor. I liked his attitude on the phone. He focused right in on the problem. It was a broken LCD. He replaced the LCD without breaking the digitizer. If it had broken, that would have made the repair uneconomic. Digitizer breakage is apparently common. He fixed my iPad promptly after he received the correct part (an incorrect part came first). Besides being a competent repair guy, he is also convenience-oriented. He will meet you at an agreed location near the freeway to pick up the damaged unit and drop it off repaired. Thus, though his shop is in Oxnard, he essentially services Ventura to the West San Fernando Valley. If you need a good and fair repair person, Brian is your man. Near-perfect screen replacement of my iPhone X and service, they even threw in a free screen protector. The only issue was two, small blue pressure spots on my screen after installation of the new screen. He took care of it right away as soon as I pointed it out no questions asked. Took my iPhone 6 to FXitRight for a cracked screen and loose charging port. Repairs were complete in about an hour. Charge was $60 for the screen replacement and $40 for the charging port (Lightning Dock) repair.
