The inspection of the home was scheduled for one day and took three separate days, over the course of two weeks; due to not bringing the right equipment, family emergencies on his part. If you ask me an inspector should come prepared with everything he could possibly need to do an inspection. He instead did some of it and said he had to come back later on a different day to finish because he didn't bring what he needed. Then couldn't come the rescheduled day because of a family emergency. Home buying is stressful and time consuming enough. It added to the stress when we had to extend our inspection response because of his unpreparedness. If you have the time to gamble with, I would recommend indyspect. The report looked great! But if you need it done in a timely manner, I'd suggest elsewhere.

We had not seen the property in person, yet he was very honest in letting us know that the condition of the house did not warrant a full inspection, and stated that he did not want to charge us the amount of his original estimate. He did a thorough walkthrough with us by phone and clued us in on foundation cracks and moisture (potentially mold) issues that we would have otherwise been unaware of. He also provided high resolution images that helped us to see what was going on that the seller or contractors did not tell us about. Although we lost our earnest money deposit--as apparently Indiana law does not currently require sellers to be honest in their disclosures, we learned a big lesson and saved ourselves the headache of buying a house that was more of a lemon than we bargained for. Jeremy's quote included all the details of the layers and measurements of wood trims to be replaced after spending 3 hours up on our roof/around our house. And he seemed honest and straightforward. His price, on average, was towards the lower side, amongst all the quotes we got. (Compared to roofers who came briefly then asked to come back for measurement or gave quotes without measuring but told me he could look at maps to see my roof; and another that did not give details of what were being replaced....I had a bad leaky roof before this house that we had to fix every year. So I didn't want to guess or worry if the job would be done correctly. Jeremy's detailed quote allow me to research and learn what/why each layer was needed.) When I needed to re-adjust some items that my husband had asked him to do, both Jennifer and Jeremy were open for discussion, eg I wanted to use PVC instead of wood trim and they're ok with it. I just had to pay for the price of material. At first, I expected a crew of 6 ppl as Jeremy had told me, but for my roof, Jeremy referred it to Al who, with an assistant, consistently worked on our roof. He was gentle, polite, experienced; he would educate me professionally when I had questions about the roof. The roof took 4 days of hard labor. It took them another few more days more to finish wood repair and painting on the dormers and around the house. Al worked meticulously to make sure everything was done well and looking great. It was a super-hot week for roof work but Al showed up every early morning, working till late at night on our roof. Some of the trims took him 4 layers of paint to cover but he worked tirelessly to transform our roof and house. He also cleaned up very well, the debris from the old roof and all the nails. Before I gave the job to Jeremy, I had some hesitation because there was a one-star review about them not showing up by a lady, amongst all the 5 star reviews. I called Jennifer who explained the lady who didn't want to put any deposit down but expect them to show up to work. I am glad I went with my own instinct that this is a honest company. They did a wonderful job. Jeremy also replaced 14 window screens for me, added corrugated drains for my downspouts. He gave workmanship warranty and Jennifer also helped us registered for the manufacturer's warranty. About 2 weeks after the work was finished, there was a severe rain storm and we saw a small drip from our exhaust furnace vent so we informed them. Jeremy sent Al right away. Al couldn't find any issue with the roof but he caulked the bottom of our furnace pipe up there, and we did not have any issues during the subsequent rainy days since then.

I have a new build so when it was finally time to hire an inspector I decided to go with MC2. So glad I did. They were reasonable and the inspection took about 3 hours. It was a smooth process and Greg, my inspector, was awesome. He was VERY picky (which I love) and he pointed out things that I wouldn't have seen. Please do NOT purchase a home without getting your own inspection done (IMO). Greg was very professional, he came in with footies and he had the report done later that night filled the pictures, notes and suggestions.
