I cannot speak to insurance claims which the web site states are resolved "in a timely manner" but I was forced to wait 6 months before I got my parts back. Having inherited a 2005 Vespa scooter that needed two smallish dents addressed and a new coat of paint, I obtained a couple of quotes, and settled on Fernando after he personally inspected it at our home and proclaimed his finished product would be "better than new". We agreed on the price and I was assured it would take him "several weeks" to get it done. To make it even easier for the guy, I disassembled the body completely and on November 12, 2024 dropped the parts off. Little did I know, I would not see them back until April 25, 2025. The first red flag that I should have noted and run away fast was when Fernando requested a down payment in cash, as he explained he was trying to keep the gig hidden from his wife. I did get a receipt for it but what followed was 6 months of excuses, no shows at his shop and multiple promises of delivery dates that were not fulfilled and always pushed forward. When I could not reach him, he claimed he lost the phone or that it did not work and when I was able to leave a message, I would not hear from him. Text messages were answered days after being sent. To say this was frustrating would be an understatement. I was so irate I wrote the guy a letter indicating I was prepared to take the matter to a small claims court. He became more communicative but the job dragged on nevertheless. To my amazement, he managed to lose two handle bars covers which I had to buy replacement for. When I finally got the parts back, one needed clear reapplied and all were afflicted with a good amount of orange peel - worst being the front fender - which Fernando said he would polish away. He did a decent job with the main body but the front fender and side fairing were left with hazing and scratches that looked worse than the peel itself. See pic attached. I sent him a text with pictures of the fairings on 5/22 and was promised a fix when he'd "back in a few weeks". I sent anther text on 6/18 asking if he was available to meet but as of this writing, I'm still waiting to hear. Ferndnado's Auto Body is an extremely low quality and poorly run establishment and should be avoided at all costs.

Had a dumb moment and scraped my front bumper along the side of a wall doing a u turn in my driveway. Emailed three collision repair shops, but Wanda from Classic Auto Craft responded the quickest. She was quick to provide quotes for OEM and aftermarket options, and was also the most patient as I waited to hear back from other shops. Classic Auto ended up being the most affordable by default. I requested to have the part ordered in advance so I could spend minimum amount of time without my car, which Wanda quickly organized. Traveling from Oakland, they provided me a ride to the ferry after I dropped my car off, and offered to pick me up from the ferry when I returned. The repair was quoted 2 days, on the week of Independence Day, and they exceeded my expectations by doing 1 day turn around. When I arrived, I noticed they left my front license plate off, so I could have the option to install it or keep it clean. I opted for installation and they installed the plate in 2 minutes. The car was incredibly clean and detailed, but this is where one negative pops up: I cleaned my car of trash before dropping off, but had let some essentials in the side pockets like my old pair of glasses, in case my contacts pop out or something. They placed all those small things collectively together in the center console, which crammed together and caused my glasses to break. I would say overall the experience was better than I could hope for. Going through collision repair in the past in LA, which was not the nicest customer service, Classic Auto Craft shines with theirs in comparison. Wanda really made all the difference, and her sister Flor, did too. If I were to redo my drop off, I would make sure to have removed all my fragiles, specifically my glasses. So I suggest you do the same, but trust they will do an excellent repair.

I wanted to leave a fair and honest review of my experience because there were definitely some…read morepositives, but also some issues that were disappointing given the level of service I was expecting. I recently purchased a new luxury vehicle that had a strange odor--somewhere between the typical new-car smell and a cleaning product. I had used another detailer in the past, but this shop came highly recommended by several friends in the automotive industry, so I felt confident giving them a try. Booking was easy, and the staff I interacted with were friendly. I was told the detail manager could speak with me when I dropped the car off, which I appreciated because I wanted to make sure the proper care was being taken with a luxury vehicle. They kept the car for about 24 hours so they could complete the detail and ozone treatment. The car was ready on time, and I have to give them a lot of credit for the ozone treatment--the odor was completely gone. The fabric was also cleaned very well. Unfortunately, there were some issues with the rest of the detail that kept the experience from feeling like the high-end service I was expecting. There was still noticeable dust in various areas, some dirt that had been missed around the trunk and door trim, fingerprints on the stainless-steel surfaces, and some visible spray spots from the cleaner. I also noticed areas where the surfaces appeared to have been wiped down but not thoroughly detailed, particularly in the smaller nooks and crannies. For me, those are the little things that make the difference between a basic cleaning and a truly detailed job. The leather also had a somewhat uneven/splotchy appearance after the conditioning. I actually appreciate the more matte finish they use rather than a shiny one, but I would expect the finish to be very uniform throughout the vehicle. There was also an issue with my steering wheel that was particularly frustrating. When I got home and inspected the car, I noticed a small gash that I had not seen prior to dropping the vehicle off. The shop had taken photos shortly after I dropped the car off, and the imperfection was visible in those photos, so there isn't really a way to definitively establish when or how it happened. I had photos from the previous day showing the steering wheel without the damage, but unfortunately I did not take photos immediately at drop-off. My advice to anyone having their car detailed--especially a newer or luxury vehicle--is to take detailed photos of the interior and exterior immediately before handing over your car. It can save you from being in a difficult he-said/she-said situation. I will say that when I contacted the shop, I was understandably pretty frustrated. Dropping off a new vehicle for 24 hours at a highly recommended detailing business, you expect to pick it up and feel completely confident that it was in good hands. I also expected the detail to be done thoroughly the first time. That said, the staff were responsive, apologized for my experience, and ultimately did not charge me for the detailing service, which I do appreciate. My only additional disappointment was that the resolution felt somewhat transactional. Given the issues I had experienced, I would have appreciated a little more effort to make sure I felt heard and comfortable with the outcome, rather than feeling like the car was simply handed back and the interaction was over. We also had our older vehicle detailed there the following day. Again, the fabric cleaning was excellent, there was no damage, and the staff was responsive. However, I noticed some of the same issues with the hard surfaces and attention to smaller details. Overall, I think this is a nice facility with friendly staff, and they clearly do a very good job with odor removal and fabric cleaning. For me, though, the attention to detail on the hard surfaces and the overall finishing touches did not meet my expectations for a professional detail--particularly on a new luxury vehicle. I also felt that, given how disappointed I was, there could have been a little more effort to make sure I left feeling good about the experience. Would I use them again? Probably not for a standard detail. If I had a significant odor issue, however, I would absolutely consider them for the ozone treatment because that part of the service was excellent. I hope this review is helpful to the business and to future customers. My intention isn't to be unfair or overly critical--just to give an honest account of my experience and the expectations I had going in.
