Our service technician, Rob was dispatched quickly to help us when our heater kept blowing fuses. He inspected the indoor and outdoor components and discovered a shorted wire in the outside unit. It was bumped up against a copper wire and literally melting. He quickly repaired that, explaining as he went along. Discovered some other glitches and needed to come back a second time, in 2 days with an ordered part that he replaced. Now the heater is working correctly and that was well worth the money. Service tech came on time. Was friendly. Put the part in before letting us know the cost of the part an igniter then showed us the charge of the part. 600.00 He said he could take the part out and replace it with the old one basically if we didn't like the price. The tech lied to his company on the invoice telling them he notified us of the price before he installed it and we approved it..not true. That is not true. Nice technicians and a good quality water heater installed. I requested a 40 gallon and got a 50 gallon water heater. The work actually took about 2hrs and the cost of the labor itself was $2700. Highly overpriced. I blame myself for buying into this. Unless you're made of money I recommend shopping around. This was for an electric water heater that itself costs around $850. Amazing experience with Dillon. Our furnace went out on Sunday, Dillon came out on Monday, diagnosed the problem in 2 minutes! He ordered a part and wanted to come the next day to put it in. Lost my furnace heat the previous night and needed service, as I had reached the end of my knowledge to get the ignitor to spark. I called G&G. Suffice to say happy for the $208 diagnosis I then turned down their 1100+% part up charge, or $600 for a $50 part. I expected the diagnosis fee which was done quickly and efficiently accomplished by the friendly service tech, as was the quick and easy scheduling with the friendly staff but an $800 bill for a diagnosis and simple part swap was not palatable for a $50 part I could get locally and even less from overnight Amazon delivery. Making profit is important for a business, I get that and agree expecting I would be charged over cost as they needed to make a reasonable and healthy profit, but callous and incredulous price gouging is bad form, especially when people are in an emergency situation. I decided to seek out the part and install it myself quite easily. A $268 total cost for part and diagnostics was much easier to deal with then $800+ on my credit card for this simple part swap. I hope they see this review as a wake up call as what they are doing is unconscionable and NOT recommended to do business with. read more

G&G reneged on their offer of $360. They blamed their customer service. It's not clear why they kept their appointment. Their new bid was $1450 at 3 hours at $299/hr the rest was parts. The total parts on Amazon was $150. They said that they didn't have the parts. I did it myself in less than 1 hr. read more

Yes, I had them service my heat pump where I've had Blackhills install it and had it serviced for 10 years and it's broken down several times but GNG found these knobs that I've never seen Blackhills adjust and he told me they were supposed to be adjusted that was g&g they were regret I would recommend them. read more

My heat pump stoped working last week and I asked for repair service And got it next day. The tech Corbin found 2 problems and gave me an estimate for repair. Because the heat pump had been installed 17 years ago and it's warranty was finished so he suggested a new replacement and I selected a new one which was installed on Friday with no problems, within 2 months the heat pump blew a fuse which was replaced within one day. They didn't inform me of the cost prior to proceeding with the replacement, and I later discovered that they don't even provide a warranty on their work. He took the time to explain all aspects of the operation of the heat pump and the various testing and maintenance he was doing on it. At my request, he also took care of an issue with the plastic piping that houses the electrical wiring leading to the heat pump. HVAC check up was done professionally and at a competitive price ($273 including taxes). My complaint is about the way their yearly maintenance plan is structured. I inquired about their plan after the technician left us a quote. According to the girl I spoke with in the phone, the annual plan costs $210 and includes the once a year tune up (like what I received) and priority scheduling for emergency repairs, parts discounts, extended warranties, etc. However, my options were to pay the additional $210 now and be covered for the next year (including the tune up next spring) or take a chance that I won't need their services again until next spring and wait and pay the $210 a year from now. The girl on the phone told me that if I waited to pay for the yearly maintenance plan next spring (2024) that the check up which is included in that cost would not be performed until the spring of 2025!! Huh? Makes no sense. I then checked with two other local HVAC companies about their yearly maintenance plans and both of them told me that since I just got the furnace and A/C checked out that if I waited until next spring to sign up for their yearly plan that the once a year check up would be performed next spring after I paid their yearly fee. The other benefits of these two plans are virtually the same as what G & G offers (priority scheduling, discounts, warranties, etc) I will be calling one of these two other HVAC companies next spring read more

WATCH OUT! I paid G&G $1,100.00 to fix my furnace. They didn't. They said furnace was so old and obsolete that all the parts necessary were no longer available. They billed me another, unauthorized, $800.00 for continuing to work on a furnace that couldn't be fixed! They then offered me a 'real deal' on a new furnace - $3,800.00. Another company installed the exact make and model proposed by G&G for just $2,176.00. You need HVAC work? I would recommend avoiding this company like the plague. UPDATE. The response by the company owner was very interesting as I had never met or talked to the man. I experienced everything 1st hand, as he only had nervous employees' 2nd hand information to rely on. Grain of salt folks, grain of da UPDATE. I am still waiting for a reply from the business owner. He replies to Yelp and Better Business Bureau but not to me directly. As a footnote, Visa said it was OK for the business to keep my money even though the service was not provided. They don't fight for consumers - that's BS. read more
