To start with, they didn't even take a look at the car that day. We called later in the day and they never returned our call. The next day they told us it needed more items then the original estimate, which is not unusual, but the job still should have only taken a few hours. Once again, they did not call back at the end of the day and they never either picked up our calls or returned our VM. To make matters worse, we found out their hourly labor charge is much, much higher than other local auto repair places. I cannot say for sure, but I have a feeling we were gouged since the car was towed in and there was little we could do. I have already started a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair.

Not only did he have the part but he showed me how to install it; had hoses and thermostat on hand; said I could bring back the hoses for a refund if not needed. And I did. And he did! Sure, the 2hr job took me four hours but Doctor Dan saved me a couple hundred bucks and gave me a DIY feel good experience. I called at 8am and had the part at 8:30am.. I was surprised he didn't do installs anymore (semi-retired, simplified his life!) but supplied just the parts actually; a blessing. Told me if I ran into trouble to just give him a call and he'd walk me thru it on the pone. True. A friend and I knocked it out in half a day and I finished with a beer. A good day.
