I recently had to start looking for a new local shop to take my car into since George's sold. Found this place (by sheer accident) and could not be more pleased, the owner is super transparent and willing to explain certain things like parts, labor, and pricing with me. You can tell this place is very professional and they did and honestly great job, helped me learn what needed to be looked at and taken care of without sound like they were just trying to make a quick buck off me. He also was willing to bundle smaller easier items for free which somw places dont or wont do like my rear wi shield wipe blade, passenger door mirror cover, and license plate light blue. We also took care of the AC coolant and radiator system that needed work, they changed out the rear brakes/routers (they do both here at the same time each time for their service), diagnosed my horn issues (was a clockwork part in the wheel) and replaced my battery terminal. They are respectful, hardworking, diligent, honest, and kind. The prices are reasonable for the work they do, they charge a flat labor cost fee (10$ more and hour of you bring your own parts which is only for certain items so ASK first!) I was overall extremely pleased and will be going back and recommend them to anyone looking for a good car service place thats reliable and trustworthy. read more

I will never use Dave again for auto repair. To begin with, I explained the issues and made it clear I had a budget of $1000. A few days after diagnosing the problem he told me he needed to replace the steering column with a used one for $600. That repair would use up the budget. I gave a verbal approval. Called him a week later and the car wasn't finished he claimed to have to find a used part, not the steering column. He called June 4th and informed me the total for the repairs was $1797.00, $800. over the budget without my approval. He hemmed and hawed about the time he spent with diagnostics. I didn't believe a word he said. Paid him and picked up the car. Drove it the Junction shopping center and while parking the steering wheel airbag assembly fell off the steering wheel fell out of the steering wheel. Drove it back and he fixed it. I'm afraid of what else I might find from this scammer. Watch out ladies and gentlemen, this guy will rip you off and smile in your face, especially if you have a classic car. I was referred by a friend that had nothing but amazing things to say about this place, and after my experience today I couldn't agree more! I called at 8:30am, a brand new customer. I explained that a battery was accidentally installed backwards on my vehicle and clearly something fried... Car wouldn't start. In a panic on a Friday morning I called Dave's auto and he took my car right in. The tow arrived around 10, and this company had my part ordered, delivered and ready for pickup by 2:30pm THE SAME DAY!! I've never had an auto shop even look at my car the same day with a drop off, and this company had me back on the road before I was even clocked out for the weekend. That's not even mentioning that the total cost for my last minute drop off and part cost less than the battery that was bought the previous day! Thank you so much to Dave's auto staff. I needed rotors and brakes on my 4Runner. We've only been in town for a couple of years and I didn't know where to take my car. I'm a full time student and on a fixed income so I was really nervous to take my car anywhere. I posted on nextdoor and someone said they took their 4Runner to Dave's Automotive and said that it was a good shop so I decided to give then a try. Jason really listened to me and took my income situation to heart. He fixed only what I asked of him and just made recommendations for things I would want to replace in the future. I took my 4Runner back to him for a timing belt and water pump replacement. He went above and beyond to help me and I'm forever grateful. Being from out of town for the snow up on Dodge Ridge and getting ready to go, our car had a rough idle. And didn't know where to go so we came here and found Dave. He was quick to diagnose the misfire and find the part gone bad. He found the part available and had him order it. He got it disassembled and we were just waiting for the parts delivery. Dave's Auto Repair was a life saver! Our suburban broke down on a work trip on the side of the road above Twain Harte at 4:30pm. There was no way we were going to be able to get it towed to an auto repair place before they all closed. We called Dave's Auto Repair, and even though he had closed up shop and was already at home, he offered to come open up the shop again especially for us. When we finally got the tow he arrived as promised, checked us in, and began working on our vehicle the first thing the next morning. Ended up getting the fuel pump changed out and we were good to go. I can't say enough good things about the customer service we received! Would definitely give them our business again! read more

If i could rate no starts i would. Made an appointment to get my car repaired, he bumped out a full week after confirming my appointment because other jobs would make him more money. Don't ever use this guy or shop for any repairs horrible customer service and he doesn't keep his word with his customers so who knows what he'd do to your car! You'll notice that in HIS MISSION STATEMENT he expresses that he treats all customers as if they were family and is always honest! Welp scheduling an appointment then canceling it because you have an opportunity to make 3k off of each of the two tow trucks so 6 grand in total seems pretty greedy dishonest and not family oriented! I am SO very impressed with my experience here. I had a few issues with my car and Dave had me come in within a few minutes of my phone call, gave me a reasonable ballpark price and a thorough explanation of what the likely issue was and then I was on my way. I received a call within a few hours letting me know that my car was ready for pickup. We were new in the area, and wanted an honest, capable, and reasonably priced shop to maintain our vehicles. We checked them out and liked them, and gave them a try about a year ago. They are everything we looked for! My Subaru is there now, and they did great with our Tundra. We previously took every vehicle to their respective dealerships, so this was a big leap! What I like, besides the good prices and friendly service, is that they know our cars, and us. . . they tell us if something will need doing later, if we should do it now, or whatever. They explain things. No middle man between us and the work, so we know exactly what is going on. I would give more than 5 stars if I could! read more
