I never recommend places unless they are unfailingly superb. George has never disappointed me, or anyone I have sent to him, and I'm sure never will. Once you use G&J, you won't go anywhere else. It's a small shop, not fancy or expensive, almost a hole in the wall that you would pass by, but I can guarantee that you will go away smiling. There are only 2 businesses I have rated on Yelp, or thought were above reproach in all my 81 years, and this is one of them. Not only is your car in and out in time, but workmanship is terrific. He even gave me a small can of extra paint to have on hand, last time I was there. ( I guess he knows I may need it), but chances are I will bring the paint, and car, back to him to fix any tiny scratch, often at no charge! My cars may change over the years, but not the place that fixes the boo boos! read more

The other day I knocked my passenger window off of my car. Totally bummed, I called a body shop I found on Yelp. They couldn't help me, but they recommended G & J Auto Body Repair, saying "They do great work and they're great guys." I'm so happy they gave me that recommendation! I called G & J immediately and George answered. He told me I could come down to their shop right then, even though they were closing very soon. When I got there, his mellow demeanor really made me feel better. He identified the solution immediately and called an auto parts distributor right away to have them hold the new mirror for me (at a great price!). I went the next morning and George quickly and expertly installed my new mirror. The cost was also FAR less than I was anticipating. (i never write reviews just because I'm too lazy to do it, but I just HAD to write one with G&J auto body). I've been to 4 other body shops that had almost five star rating in Pasadena, but their prices were tooooo high, since i was paying straight out from pocket, and this was the last place I went to get an estimate, but the price George gave me for fixing my car was so affordable that I was in shock. Other body shops were all giving me an estimate around $1,400 to even up to $1980! i wish i can write their name because that price was RIDICULOUS. George took care of it for $750!!!!! Incredible. When i went to pick up my car, and I looked over it about 30 times and I saw a small indent (that was barely noticeable) i told George and he immediately took it and fixed it (other body shops would've given me an attitu de about it since i'm basically making them redo more work). I came back and my car was perfect. He is so friendly, Every time i called him he gave me update about the progress. I'm def recommending this place to all my friends. The fact that I was calling and trying to follow up with the situation guess what he was telling me . Our silver Honda Pilot "suffered" a serious side-swipe the the passenger door - all wrinkled, and told a new skin would be needed at great cost.
