On a whim I tried Mitch and I liked his service very much. The staff is very pleasant. They are all super nice and accomodating. I requested specific services and they will call me if they need to do anything else. I love it that a girl works behind the counter. Girl power! Haven't had any issues after dropping the car off for the day. It's close enough to my work that I can walk back and forth so I don't really wait for it. There is no waiting area so the best thing to do is go across the street for coffee and pastries if you need to wait. All in all I always come back. read more

Went here to fix something, it didn't work out and Mitch said he replaced the part altogether, but while my car was there they called me and said it completely died???? So my choices were to either get it towed, or invest in another service with them and get a new starter. A few months into having this new starter, I had issues starting the car. It would take 3-4 tries and 15 minutes total every morning of praying it would start. Same would happen if I didnt start the car every few hours and became stressful when I would work late and sit in an empty parking lot praying my car would start. I took my car in twice for them to please check it and have left it over night, which they said it was fine. I was shocked. A year later after they said it was fine, I'm tired of all the stress and have to pay another $600 for another mechanic to change it for me. It was said Mitch's Auto used a China part on my car that could have easily been purchased at Autozone. $1200 later in one year for a starter I don't know if I truly needed yet... I didn't have starter problems prior to coming here, but it maybe was time to get a new one. Just seemed convenient that my car died at their shop while he had to replace another part for me out of pocket. read more

I came here in recommendation from a coworker. They were able to get me a next day appointment for an oil change at the last minute. And had me in and out in about an hour. Price was extremely reasonable, comparable or cheaper than the chain places. I also asked them to investigate some weird noises my engine was making...turns out what I thought was going to be $1000 repair job was just some rocks that got caught in my engine compartment, which they kindly removed, free of charge. Hailey was very personable and pleasant to say with, and the mechanic, Sergio, was extremely friendly and helpful. I'm glad my friend recommended them, and so do I! Very helpful and friendly staff, very reasonable prices, probably the most pleasant experience I've ever had at a mechanic. I'm going back next week to have some more work done, and will be a return customer in the future! read more

Best mechanics in the area. I was an auto mechanic for years, that's the only place I trust if I can't fix it myself, with my many vehicles. Mitch is honest and thorough and they do repairs quick, he has a great master technician. Non of that "it'll take a few days"... I got my brakes front and back repaired. However, within a month - the noise came back. I called and brought my car back in and they kept saying they didn't hear anything. Which honestly, I thought okay, maybe I'm hearing things. Okay, it's been one week and I can guarantee that my car brakes are making screeching noise. When I first dropped off my car, I felt like everything was great with this auto shop esp since I work down the street, but now I'm really unhappy with my experience. They didn't provide a quote on my front brakes so I had originally thought it would be the same as my back ones, but the cost was way higher. You would think they would call first to let me know before working on the car, but they did everything and then I got the bill. I spent so much money on my brakes just to have it make screeching sounds once again within a month? Ridiculous. read more

I'll probably be in the sleeping in the middle of the street/road, but these angels from heaven successfully fixed my problem within five minutes and charged me not a single dime. Overall -- I've visited twice for service and there have been followup issues each time. Whether it was brake squeal, ticking, or my brake assembly grinding against my rotor. They also performed over $500 of brake work (one of the followup issues to my yearly maintenance) without notice. Thankful I was able to pay it, but initial inspection noted low pads -- was a bit of a shock to come back to that kind of a bill. They're super kind, fast, but ultimately can't justify going back. read more

I had an excellent experience with Mitch's Auto Service. Everyone I spoke to was polite and helpful, and took the time to explain things to me (I am, notably, not a car person). On top of that, the prices were reasonable, especially for the quality service. They had to order a part for my car and were still able to get the car back to me in less than 24 hours. I did have to leave the car overnight, but if you are only leaving yours for an hour or so, the area has shops and cafes you can check out while you wait. read more

Im usually critical with my reviews so for me to give this place a 5 star I would say is a big deal. I got 2 major things fixed on my Honda (AC Compressor Motor ~$550.00 + Water pump ~$350.00) Before getting it fixed with Mitch I went to 3-4 other mechanics without telling them what I needed fixed (that way they can check and confirm the same thing ad the other mechanics - and not pull a fast one to up sell me) and every single mechanic gave me a higher price. My car was giving me issues driving it to work from Santa Clarita. I could barely get my car to function. I drove it to the closest mechanic from work. I am so glad that i drove it to the right place. I met Mitch and a young lady at their front desk. I was highly distressed from traffic, and my car was not working properly, along with running late to work. They work both so very helpful and so very kind. I left my car at the shop and ran to work. Mitch had quickly gone to work in diagnosing what was wrong with my car. He was helpful in letting me know what I should do with my car, and he didn't charge me for looking at it. What an honest and kind gentleman! I am so shocked that there are still kind, honest, and helpful people out there. My wife and I noticed that our AC wasn't functioning properly, so we took it to Pep Boys on Pico in Los Angeles. I was told that the compressor was clogged and we needed a new one. He told me that it was normally 1799, but that he would cut me a deal and do it for $1699. Something didn't sound right, so I endured the heat and took it to Mitch Tuesday morning. Mitch evacuated the system and charged it and it runs like new. Pep Boys stole my R134 and then attempted to sell me an expensive repair I obviously didn't need. I've been bringing my cars to Mitch for a few years now. Every single time I come away feeling well taken care of. I have found Mitch to be honest, he and his techs are highly competent, and his prices are fair. Recently, I made a huge mistake while doing some DIY maintenance on my wife's car. I had it towed in to Mitch. Not only did they fix what I had broken, their work resolved an ongoing issue with the transmission. The dealership had likely previously filled our transmission with the incorrect amount of fluid and Mitch's team did it properly (which takes more time and care) completely eliminating a weird shake and noise we used to get doing tight radius turns. Then there was the time I brought in my truck for an "oil leak" only for Mitch to figure out that my extra quart of oil that I kept stashed in the backseat had tipped over and was slowly leaking through the carpet and down through the frame. Didn't even charge me for that one despite taking the time to figure out my silly mistake. I have never doubted Mitch's honesty or quality of work and will continue to bring my vehicles to him as long as I can. read more

They are always super nice here and it's at a great location. On top of that they usually complete projects in a timely manner and are upfront about cost structure. However, they are not super organized- the last time I went in I requested a couple services- including: - Oil Change - Change Air Filter - Transmission Service - Change Transmission Line (with part we supplied as they couldn't find the part the last time we brought the car to them) - And a quote on repairing a power window that doesn't work anymore. I dropped off the car and spoke to Mitch at 7:50 am. When they called at 4:30 pm, they let me know it was ready and I needed to pick up by 5 pm. I arrived at 4:55 pm and found they had done the oil change and changed the transmission line, but had done nothing else. Though they did give me a quote on repairing the power window. Also they wrote on the receipt that there was a nail in the tire, but NO ONE TOLD ME. I had to see it in writing typed small when I was looking over everything later that evening. That's just simple disorganization and frustrating as someone who has to do a lot to make dropping a car off at the mechanic work, now I have to take it back a second day to get everything done. Not the end of the world considering they do a good job and are fair. I know they get a lot repeat customers and definitely always seem to have a full garage, so I'm not knocking this place. But just providing a good well rounded review, and I agree with the star rating- they are A-Ok indeed. read more
