This cleaning company is the biggest scam. Agreed to paying almost $500 with the promises that I'd…read morelove my house and it'd be so clean and blah blah blah. So first off, I paid for a deep clean for the whole house, as I keep up with the typical stuff but wanted someone to come in and give a really good scrub of the place. When I came home to see what was done, biggest disappointment. Nothing was very clean at all, everything was lazily wiped down, streaks all over all the bathroom and kitchen counters and still lots of missed spaces. I just decided that I'd never have them back and that they were a huge waste of money. Now flash forward to later that day, day of cleaning, when I went into the kitchen to make some dinner I noticed my stainless steel stovetop just completely scratched. I mean it looks like someone took the literally back side of a sponge and just went to town ruining our somewhat brand new stovetop, recently redid the kitchen. I was obviously fuming, I know I didn't do it because I use the same product on the stovetop for the stainless steel fridge, dishwasher, and microwave I have. ALL NO SCRATCHES before this company came in. I reached out obviously because this was a problem and the company is DENYING DENYING DENYING. I said that they scratched my stovetop and it took two weeks to get a response, but finally they said "the lady mentioned that when she was cleaning it she noticed the scratch already there, but she didn't report it since she assumed you already knew about it. Our policy is, no matter what damage or breakage they already find in a home, they need to report it right away because we have found that customers are not always aware of those things. She failed to do that, obviously and we-reminded her of our policy going forward." I reminded her there are SCRATCHES everywhere, it's not pertaining to a single scratch. Therefore what she just told me was a lie, there was no scratch prior (which is why she didn't report it) and she didn't want the stove top to be noticed after she ruined it (WHICH IS WHY IT WASN'T REPORTED). I know that my stovetop wasn't scratched at all before they came in, and I would have the pictures to prove it if I didn't think a cleaning company would know what to use and what not to use on stainless steel. Which is why they think it's okay to get away with this! Now they have come up with this ridiculous theory that my cat got on there and scratched the stove??? My cat wasn't home all day due to the cleaning crew being there first off and second the whole stovetop was scratched, which means all over and under all the grates my 5 pound cat would never be able to lift. Do not let these people in your home! They do a terrible job, ruin your belongings and then blatantly lie to you and try to make up stories so that they aren't held liable. Sorry $75 credit for my $1,000 stovetop you ruined isn't cutting the cheddar, your company should be ashamed of themselves.

I booked InstaMaids through yelp in preparation for my move! Instead of the move-in/move-out…read moreservice I requested a deep cleaning as my apartment needed a lot of love to get things sparkling before my move out inspection. Booking process online was seamless and I appreciated being able to add-on services like oven cleaning. They arrived within 10 minutes of the arrival window ready to go. I told them they could more or less ignore the furniture and focus on the apartment itself. They were very kind the whole way through. They were extremely thorough, even getting to places previous cleaners did not like under the bed. They nicely packed items thrown around in bags for me to sort through which I really appreciate. When finished with each area they asked if I wanted to check the area first for anything missed, another thing I appreciated. They offered to take out trash bags at the end but I told them they did enough and sent them on their way :) They are definitely worth booking and are extremely thorough! I will likely book again the next time I require a deep cleaning.

I called Insta Maids to book a cleaning service, and during that call I asked a simple question…read moreabout five shirts on the floor. I explained that I am disabled and asked whether the cleaner could pick them up. I was told that would require roughly an additional $100 charge. Rather than pay that, I said I would pick the shirts up myself. What should have been a simple booking then turned into repeated attempts to move me to a more expensive service. I eventually booked the standard service online and picked up the five shirts myself. To my surprise, Insta Maids then CANCELLED my appointment because they believed I needed the higher-priced service. They called me while I was working and again tried to discuss the service. I specifically explained that my break was over, I had to go, and I needed to lead a scheduled sales meeting with more than 20 people. When the conversation continued anyway, I ended the call. Then they immediately called me back. Because I had two consecutive calls from an unfamiliar number--and because I have both a seriously ill family member and employees who may repeatedly call in an emergency--I stopped my live Zoom meeting and answered. It was Insta Maids again. I made it very clear that I was working and could not talk. I ended that call as well. Since Insta Maids had cancelled my appointment, I hired another cleaning company. I actually chose a MORE expensive company and booked approximately $300 per week in recurring service. Price wasn't the issue. I simply wanted a company that would take my booking, provide the service, and respect my time. Then this morning an Insta Maids cleaner unexpectedly showed up at my door. I discovered that Insta Maids had reinstated the appointment and charge even though I had never agreed to reinstate the service they had cancelled. When I called, I was told that they had informed me during the previous phone call that they were reinstating the appointment. I had an AI transcript of the call in front of me, and it did not show that statement being made at all. To be completely fair, after listening to the actual recording, it sounds possible that the representative MAY have been beginning to tell me something about the appointment when I cut him off. I had already repeatedly explained that I was leading a meeting and could not continue the conversation. Whatever he was beginning to say, I did not hear a completed statement that my cancelled appointment was being reinstated, and--more importantly--I never agreed to reinstate it. There is an enormous difference between attempting to tell a customer something and obtaining the customer's authorization. I did not authorize Insta Maids to reinstate the service they had cancelled. I did not agree to the reinstated appointment. I did not expect anyone to arrive at my home. By the time they arrived, I already had another cleaning company scheduled for that afternoon. This entire situation could have been avoided by simply respecting two things: 1. When a customer says, "I cannot talk right now," let them go and call back at an appropriate time. 2. When your company cancels a customer's appointment, don't reinstate it and charge the customer's card without clearly obtaining their agreement. They had already made the sale. Somehow they turned a completed sale into a cancellation, multiple unwanted phone calls, an unexpected cleaner at my door, a disputed charge, and a customer who has now taken approximately $10,000 a year in recurring cleaning business elsewhere. In fact, I am paying the competing company a higher rate so I will not pay $15,000 a year. That's an extraordinary amount of unnecessary effort to lose a customer they had already won.
