I bought a used outback premium within the last month. After leaving the dealership I realized I…read moredid not have the 2nd fob for the vehicle. I went back the next day and spoke with the finance person due to the salesman being off that day. The finance person said he would get back to me after Jose got back , he may have the fob in his desk drawer which is locked, etc. I agreed and waited for both Jose or someone to get back to me about the 2nd fob. I called Subaru of America and they suggested I contact Jason regarding my 2nd fob. I spoke with him 2 weeks ago...thank God i have a Warranty...and he has been avoiding my calls. Im trying to return my vehicle as I have not been provided with a 2nd fob by Subaru and have no reason to be charged for one.... This seems to be the norm for Holmgren Subaru. I'm reaching out to the Attorney General and Consumer Protection to assist in my returning my vehicle. I have not driven ....only put 10 miles on it since I bought it... This is so sad and shameful..

I had a really frustrating and disappointing experience with the service department at this…read moredealership and would not recommend them. I brought my car in because of uneven tire wear on the front two tires and a squeaking noise over bumps. Instead of properly diagnosing the issue, they gave me a vague explanation that didn't make much sense, claiming "rusty struts" were causing the tire wear, yet they didn't even perform a tire alignment or provide any clear proof of what was causing the tire wear. On top of that, they tried to upsell me on new front brakes and struts, saying those were causing the noise, without showing anything definitive. What made the situation worse was when I mentioned that I had a lifetime powertrain warranty from a different dealer. The contract I signed for it clearly states that any Subaru dealership in America will honor it. When I mentioned it, the told me right off the rip that they don't honor it at all and that I would have to return to the Subaru dealership that I got the car at. Even though the issue was not involved with the powertrain, I left with an extremely bad taste in my mouth and immediately called Subaru corporate, which shouldn't be necessary for something this basic. Overall, it felt like they were guessing and more focused on selling expensive repairs than actually diagnosing the problem correctly or helping the customer. I left without real answers and had to schedule another appointment elsewhere to get a proper inspection. I tried calling the service manager to have a conversation about this but I just kept hearing how he "wasn't available". I wasted 180$ on a diagnostic fee that got me nowhere at all. If you're looking for honesty, transparency, and proper service, I would strongly suggest going somewhere else. This experience was disappointing from start to finish. I will never recommend this dealership to anyone.

Went here for a routine oil change, eventually if i need work done on my '16 Legacy I'm hoping they…read moretreat me well. There is this "express" service when you come for an oil change, possibly other services as well; e.g. tire rotations, etc. Dont park somewhere, pull up to the garage door that appears closed, it will be surrounded by cones. The door flies open incredibly quick, you then pull up and to the left near a service member and their podium. I was in and out in about 15-20 minutes. Hey have a nice lobby that is shared with the dealer that offers coffee, snacks, television, and an area for toddlers to play around in. Cost: I opted for an oil change (Synthetic, Valvoline 0w20) and a tire rotation which ran me about $100, which seems pretty steep. However, they did their inspection which checked everything I already had crosschecked by anlther mechanic, the one thing they will try to get you on are the filters. Negatives: I asked for a electric connection for my center console to be installed, they said a whole new unit would need to be installed which would run me near $300. I feel like that's definitely not right for a simple connection for padsengers in back to charge their devices. So I'll be doing a bit more research on this part myself.

My daughter recently brought her car in for service and when she left the check engine light was on so she brought it back. They said it was her gas cap. She drove the hour and 30 minutes home only to find the service light came on again. I called Manny, the general manager and big surprise, he hasn't returned my call. This place is a disgrace. I bought my Subaru vehicles at Suburban Subaru in Vernon. I couldn't be happier. Go to Suburban and skip the headaches with Holmgren.

I've purchased a new Rav4 in '18 and a new 4runner in '19. I get all my service and modifications…read moredone at Charles. The staff is courteous, and the mechanical work is on par. They fixed electrical work on my VW that stumped other local shops I went to after throwing away diagnostic fees. If my car broke down in another state, I'd tow it back here to get it fixed. It's hard enough finding mechanics you can trust, let alone mechanics that know what they're doing. I plan to buy a new truck from them for my new LLC. I just called to get an oil change, they're booked three days out. They have 30 cars for oil changes per day (i asked), which speaks volumes, knowing all the competition right down the road. Just look at their G00gle reviews... almost five stars for 450+ reviews. For the most part people just come on yelp to complain.

I bought a 2024 Chevy Trailblazer from Richard Radlo just four months ago back in April, 2025. He…read moreassured me that the car was in perfect condition and even said he personally knew the previous owner, so he could vouch for how well the car was maintained. He claimed it had been inspected bumper-to-bumper by his technicians and was completely road-ready. Well, that turned out to be a lie. Just a few months later, I had the car looked at by another dealership--and they found that two of the tires were dangerously worn, with the tread measuring under 3! They even provided video proof with the actual measuring tool showing the low tread. When I called Richard to address it, he brushed me off and said there was nothing he could do unless he "saw the tires." He also accused the other dealerships of lying, even though I had clear evidence. When I pointed that out, he had nothing to say and refused to reimburse or help in any way. Richard talks a good game, but he sold me an unsafe vehicle and took no accountability when called out. Please don't fall for his charm--he will lie to make a sale and leave you hanging afterward. Go somewhere reputable. You deserve honesty.

WARNING TO POTENTIAL BUYERS -- Ocean Honda Group, Groton, Connecticut…read more I do not usually write reviews, positive or negative, but my family is dealing with a serious situation that others should know about. Using the Navy Federal TrueCar buying service, I referred a close family member to Ocean Honda Group in Groton, Connecticut, because I believed purchasing from a reputable dealership would be safer than buying from a wholesale dealer. Unfortunately, that belief turned out to be misplaced. In February 2026, my family member visited the dealership to view and test-drive a dark gray metallic Honda CR-V that had been advertised through the buying service as a 2022 model. She test-drove that specific vehicle and agreed to purchase that same vehicle based on the dealership's representation that it was a 2022 Honda CR-V. It was only later, in April 2026, after she had already made one payment and was approaching a second, that the dealership informed her the vehicle she had been driving was actually a 2020 Honda CR-V, while her purchase agreement listed a 2022 Honda CR-V. In other words, the vehicle she test-drove, agreed to purchase, and took delivery of was the 2020 Honda CR-V from the very beginning, but it had been presented and sold to her as a 2022 model. To be clear, this was the same vehicle the dealership delivered to her, registered, and placed license plates on. The dealership asked that the vehicle be returned so they could "remedy the situation." When we brought it back, the manager informed us they were waiting for the vehicle matching her contract VIN to be returned by another buyer. We asked how such a serious error could have happened, but no clear explanation was provided. Now, several days later, they are still waiting to recover the correct vehicle. Nearly three months after purchase, and after making payments, my family member is now without a car while this situation remains unresolved. The explanation given was that the two vehicle colors were "so close you couldn't tell the difference." That was difficult to accept, since one vehicle is silver and the other is dark gray. This experience raises serious concerns about inventory control, paperwork accuracy, and customer service. My advice to anyone considering purchasing from this dealership: Verify that the VIN on the vehicle matches all paperwork before signing. Confirm that the VIN matches your insurance and registration documents. Review every dealership document carefully. Do not assume everything has been verified correctly. Their advertising emphasizes trust, but trust must be supported by accuracy, accountability, and proper handling of mistakes. Based on this experience, I would not refer friends or family members to this dealership again.

I found the dealership to be professional. The experience was polite, hands on, and accommodating…read more I will be highly recommending Ocean Honda.
