DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!!!!! Bought a used car that I assume…read morewas a trade in. Because it wasn't a Subaru. Sales person told me they JUST got it. So I assume they didn't do their due diligence. Especially when service department and sales keep telling me they don't have the equipment to properly check if my car is working.BECAUSE THEY ARE SUBARU NOT HONDA. So how could they know they didn't sell me a car with Transmission ISSUES! I brought my car in within the 60 day warranty they give you. Simply because the car would shudder in a low gear. Service department told me all they could do was preform a transmission fluid service. Because again they are Subaru NOT HONDA. The shuddering went away but only to find out 6 months later... The torque converter was toast and wiped out my transmission. Now they're bouncing me back and forth from the service to sales department. Not wanting to deal with me and blaming the other department.

Routine maintenance has been fast and efficient, even including a car wash. A recent visit for a bearing issue, while initially met with polite skepticism, was handled quickly and without any issues with my extended warrantee. Then came my GPS issues where the unit would intermittently lose its location: four visits later, and requiring me to needlessly update the map database, they finally did replace the unit, but then didn't update the map. (which, on this model/year subaru, is a real pain at best). So aggravating as this may have been, they do stand by their work, and routinely do a fairly thorough inspection without trying to upsell any unnecessary work. I will certainly continue to use them for all warrantee work.

Secor Volvo in New London, CT is a very dishonest dealership! Two years ago, I bought a used 2013…read moreVolvo XC60 from Secor Volvo drove it only 17,000 miles and it now has 106484 miles. Since purchase, I noticed progressively increasing oil consumption (now 1qt./mon.) and misfiring noticed mainly at idle. I took it to EuroCars and they scoped and diagnosed low compression in three cylinders #2-140, #3- 110 and #6- 55. Additionally the spark plug in #6 had cracked off ceramic on the cathode and had scored the piston/cylinder. I went to Secor Volvo and the GM said this is my problem not theirs and reiterated their multipoint inspection prior to sale. It is my clear opinion they took this car in trade from another patron put it on their lot and knowingly sold a defective car with a previously damaged engine. Now I am left with scraping the car in the junkyard since a new engine replacement is $8-10K with labor. Do not buy a car from this very cagy and dishonest dealership!!!!

Just my own experience, buy here at your own risk…read more In 2012 I purchased a 2007 Jeep Patriot which became the worst car I have ever owned. Days after I got the car the door locks were not working. They took about a week to fix it, which means I had to leave my car unlocked everywhere I went. They sold me a warranty for 3years/36k miles for about $3,000. Useless. Within months the car suspension was making funny noises, they said everything was "normal." I took it to a shop and they said it was the ball joints and the warranty would not cover them. A $300 fix. One morning a year after that and about 12,000 miles driven the car would not start, I went to them and explained them what was happening and asked if the warranty would cover whatever was wrong with the car. They said it might cover it but with don't service cars. I mean really?! They sell me a $3,000 warranty, which they probably got for $1,000, and they can't back it up?! And how about that big building in the back with a big sign that says SERVICE DEPARTMENT?? Again, I took the car to a different shop and they told me the starter went bad and that I had to pay a $250 because the stupid warranty would not cover the whole bill. Since then I am in about $5,000 in repair costs, and a car that is worth half of what it owes. I will NOT BUY HERE again and I will NOT RECOMMEND it to anybody.
