If your intent is to order pizza then Rua's is perfectly fine BUT... if you plan on ordering anything else such as subs/grinders then just go somewhere else. I've wasted money a few times. It my fault giving a second then 3rd chance to redeem themselves. Lastly, don't order this place if it's your lunch break break the times they give are never accurate. I've got their food a bunch of times, but thought since I recently had it I'd finally do a review on it, since I haven't yet. I've never gotten anything bad from there. Never had a problem. I've both picked it up and had it delivered, and in either case I've never had a bad situation. Food has always tasted very very good. I like that it's a little pizza joint in the neighborhood, nice that it's not a franchise type place. Yummy yummy food. I was feeling something a little bit different for lunch. So I phoned in a meatball sub with extra cheese, little bit of lettuce and light sauce. The women on the phone said 15-20 min and 9.00, wait no 10.00 that will be 10.00 I said ok and hung up. 20 min later I arrived and waited about 30 seconds at the counter while the women's back was toward me working on the grill, there was a gentleman on the pizza side that clearly seen me. I didn't get a "one sec someone will be with you" so I just stood their. Finally she turns around from cooking the steak and rings me up. "That will be 9.00" I pay and take a seat as she says it's going to be a couple extra minutes. Few min later I'm all set and I'm out the door. Once I get home and open the sub I was less that pleased. No way you can tell me their is extra cheese and their wasn't any lettuce either. I didn't bother to call and complain because honestly what would it accomplish. If she said we will send you another one I would be waiting and waiting. If they said we will give you a credit. I used to eat pizza here all the time (mind you I live down the street literally). Last night my husband got me steak & cheese sub and it was very clumpy and the meat tasted like someone cleaned the grill with an old rag because I started to eat it and thats what it tasted like so I stopped and threw it all out. The onion rings were okay besides being soggy of oil but besides that the mozzarella sticks were good. Probably won't be getting from here again sadly. :( read more

Ordered a large steak and cheese with extra cheese light mayo and green peepers and asked for the bread not to be toasted. I got the sub and it was toasted, had no green peppers and tons of mayo. it took over an hour for it to be delivered and the meet was like chewing on shoe leather and not chopped up at all. By far the worst sub I've had in a long time. I called to let them know and the guy said he was sorry about that and that was it. Will not be ordering from there again. I am a first time customer. I was very disappointed with the service here for many reasons. First being that I ordered a 'loaded' turkey sub. when I opened my sandwich I found that my loaded sandwich consisted of turkey,lettuce, and chz. I called into to voice my concerns and was put on hold for 10 mins. My second complaint is that the delivery drive came with no change. I will never order from here again. We arrived on a Monday evening at 5:50 p.m. Ordered 4 pizzas, a lg. Steak n cheese sub and an antipasto. 4 water bottles... We sat down at 5:56 p.m. There were several patrons coming and going of which we understand they must have ordered first via phone, no problem. After all, we had only been there for about 10 minutes so alls fair. Now is where it all goes downhill. 28 minutes after we sat down, people were coming in, picking up their small sub and leaving. One lady came in, ordered a sub, sat down and waited and left with it at 37 minutes in for us, still waiting for our order. I don't care if it was just one sub, we are just as important ! Now, this gets even worse ! At 42 minutes in exactly, they finally walk over with our food. Way too long to be waiting !! My pizza was wrong. It was supposed to be extra sauce but apparently the order taker scribbled it so ineligible that they apparently confused it for extra sausage instead of extra sauce. I hate sausage !!! Now while the other 3 in our party of 4 were eating, I of course had to wait for them to make me my pizza again. At 56 minutes in, I finally get my correct pizza. The crust was raw in places. Undercooked . They rushed it so now the crust wasn't completely cooked. Onion and garlic. We had wanted spinach but were quickly informed while originally ordering that they don't have spinach. Weird ! I am 56 years old and have NEVER been to a pizza joint that doesn't have spinach. Anyway, my wife was so very disappointed in her pizza. She ordered a veggie pizza and got a 3 topping mushroom, onion and tomato. That's a veggie pizza ??? Are you kidding us ?!?!?? Then my daughter pulls out a hair that was half stuck in the cheese part of her pizza My son in law said his steak and cheese sub was very good. We noticed while ordering that there seemed to be an abundance of young help... At on point, the owner came into the kitchen, was complaining out loud to the workers that the bread should already have been cut and put over there. Whatever that exactly means... He also had said to one of the workers that they need to make sure to train her correctly... Show her everything he said...Then he left. What an awful experience for us that evening ! It seems as though they are more worried about their takeout orders than eat ins. Well, after all, take out there at Rua's probably accounts for 90 percent of their business. Enclosing I will say that perhaps it was just an all together bad night for them. I don't know but I do know this much from being a business owner myself. If Rua's continues operating as such, it will be all downhill from here. The entire staff seems to need more kitchen training along with P.R. training...
