They text me letting me know that they wouldn't be able to make it out because it was getting dark but insured me they would get to me the next afternoon which they did. GG Mobile helped when nobody else would. My truck was stuck in an underground parking structure and ALL OF THE TOW COMPANIES refused to help. GG not only pulled my truck out of the parking lot at 920pm, but also repaired my truck in the above parking lot while I waited. Talk about a Godsend... GG was great over the phone. I told them that I wasn't a mechanic but was told it may be a starter issue. They not only picked a starter on the way to my truck, but diagnosed and fixed the problem in a timely fashion. They were also willing to take me anywhere prior to working on my truck or whether worked on it altogether. Pros: Sweet family business, responded quickly Cons: Unprofessional and overpriced service. Owner takes no responsibility for errors. Oil light came on on the highway right outside Bakersfield. I slowed down and kept driving 10 miles (like an idiot) thinking I could make it to a shop in Bakersfield. Engine ended up seizing up and smoking badly. Called AAA to pick me up from the side of the freeway and had them bring me to this mobile mechanics house. He charges an $85 diagnostic fee (no portion of which will go towards labor.) He took a look under the hood for about 60 seconds, asked me zero questions and said the dipstick was left unscrewed and that my serpentine belt was gone, as was all my coolant. He said he would do an oil change and replace the belt and I should be good to go. It took 1.5 hrs total including a trip to autozone. Right before they were finished his son finally thought to ask me how long I had been driving with it overheating. I told him 10 minutes. I could tell a light bulb went off in all of their heads at that moment. The work they just did was unnecessary because my engine was obviously completely blown and they informed me it would be cheapest to get a whole new one. "Sorry for the bad news" he said, and charged me a RIDICULOUS $355 for the oil change and belt install on my now worthless vehicle. Seeing that my car was obviously carelessly misdiagnosed as a result of them not asking me ANY of the necessary questions before starting the work, I thought it was reasonable to ask for a refund on JUST the $85 diagnostic fee. He refused. I know this is a family business and they seemed to mean well but... if you make a mistake you pay for it. I made a mistake and totaled my car. This guy made a mistake and refused to take even a smidgen of responsibility. I am very disappointed and unfortunately could not recommend. read more

They saved us. We got a flat tire late in the day after everyone had closed. They drove out to us and patched the tire really quick. They even offered to get us a new tire if it couldn't be patched. We were visiting relatives in Bakersfield for the weekend and our van will not start. Called AAA and was told we had a bad Alternator. I called around a number of auto shops in the area but because it was Saturday many of them were closed or those who were open were not able to fix it Saturday and the earliest day they can get to it is Monday and we planned to leave Sunday. Our luck had it we got hold of G.G. Mobile Mechanic, We spoke with Gabriel who said YES. Yes i can fixed it the same day, Saturday and he did. He even offred the extra step of having our van delivered to our hotel which we are very grateful for. This allowed us to enjoy the company of our relatives uninterpreted. When we reached our hotel Saturday night the van was there and the key with the hotel reception per our request of Gabriel to do. You will think this premium service will come at extra cost, but you would be wrong. Gabriel changed us what he quoted us and what he quoted us was very reasonable and competitive. The next day, we made our trip back home to the SF Bay Area and the van worked as like a charm. Thank you Gabriel for your excellent, courteous and expedited work. Anyway, they gave me a few pointers on caring for my car and told me more about their services. They are a 24 hour road service, tires, jumps, mechanical work, tune ups, oil changes and brakes. They will come to wherever you are and work on your car, in town or out of town at any time. They really were very personable, and seemed to be the kind of people you'd want to go to if you don't go to chain store places. They saved me tonight! I was on the side of the HWY 58 with a broken radiator hose, I had already called AAA, so they looked at my car as I waited for my tow truck. They were extremely friendly and said they could get the part and meet me back at my house to fix it up right away. They even beat the tow truck to my house and started working on it as soon as it got off the tow truck. My car was fixed within 1 1/2 from the moment I broke down to when it was running again. I would not call this guy or his son for anything, his son is dishonest and stole all of our family's money we made from the bpoa just to buy a lemon. David the owners son who works with him sold us a vehicle which looked as if someone tampered with the drivers door so we asked what happened, he said oh someone tried to break into that door so I have no clue what happened to it, ok understandable since the lock portion was gutted out. The day after we bought it we got locked out of the vehicle in the middle of no where and we called David only to say he had no clue that the automatic door locker did not work at times when trying to push the unlock button, so we just decided to call the business card he gave us which was his dad at there gg auto mobile mechanic and asked him what was going on with this vehicle he sold us and he stated that he was the one who broke into the vehicle and we needed to get a screw driver and stick it in the missing door lock hole because thats how you break into a car, um ok. Then his dad and his son tried to come break into the door and just bad mouthed me in front of my kids saying I bought its as is and asked me to walk away rudely lol ok but what about your business card stating you erase check engine lights on the engine? Ok well that explains why it came on the day after we bought it lol because the day we were buying it I aksed before even getting in the car and nope no engine light on ever. Oh and last but not least, I was told the car was running in perfect condition to almost getting into a car accident when the car started to warn us of powering issues and did nothing when pushing on the gas, wow I thought you all were great mechanics? read more

I had car trouble near Bakersfield. I had contacted another mechanic and he had us waiting for 3 hours, my boss referred me to G.G. Mobile Mechanic. I gave them my location and they came out within the time frame they said they would. They diagnosed and got parts to fix my car. Unfortunately there were other problems. I had to stay at a near by hotel. They came out to continue helping me the next morning. No extra labor charges. Finally they referred me to a muffler shop since the rest of my troubles were something they couldn't work on. After the work done, G.G. Mobile Mechanic took another look at my car to make sure it was ready to get on the road. Again, no extra charges. They were honest and reliable.
