Most of the time I know what I'm needing, just not where it's located. All workers were very helpful, cutting down the time wandering around searching for a simple item. They've had everything I've needed over the years for house repairs. I've never had a bad experience with this store over the years. The store was recently expanded slightly in size and reorganized their isles to fit more merchandise.

The staff consists of two women who couldn't help with a toilet seat or a sink stopper. Pretty basic items. I didn't get the toilet seat because the clerk was so dim. I did get the sink stopper and it was wrong. I tried to return it to the Sauk Village store, which is the same franchise and the same ownership, and they too were rude. Back to Beecher for the LAST time. There is an Ace in Crete on Exchange and they will get my small, local hardware business.

No signs for the public to wear masks. Staff person had no mask on. No social distancing marks on the floor. I could not get out of that store fast enough. I asked the guy standing by the register for one and he walked me over to them. The heavy duty one? he asked. No, I said, the light-duty version. He took it from the hanger and held it out toward me. Then I saw the price hanging right there in front of us both. SIX DOLLARS AND, LIKE, NINTY-SEVEN CENTS! For ONE?! (Disregard the website price, totally. In-store it's $6.97!) Wait, WHAT?! I told him there was NO WAY I would pay that much! and I left. I drove directly to a Home Depot. I bought TWO of them for $2.97 EACH! Even after taxes, I paid less for two than they wanted for just one and that's BEFORE taxes! On the drive back home, I promised myself I would NOT be installing one of those new switches until I first posted this review. Promise made, promise kept! Time to install my $2.97 switch now!

I only need to replace a few chicks that have died over the years but standing in line for hours, I refuse to do again. There is lots of parking and they also offer store pickup from online orders. The store is well lit and well stocked. There are sales and they have a large selection of everything you didn't think you needed. Patrons were mostly rude and maybe it's just me but Bourbonnais is obviously not my kind of town.

Bought many things here over the years. We walked in and was immediately recognized by "thebiglebowski." Still the same and the hardware store is the same with a plethora of bolts, nails, building materials, collapsable buckets, and of course a very nice candy counter! It is great that some things #neverchange.
