In Good Faith, we used your company Kulacz & Sons Heating & Cooling we are not satisfied with certain things that have happened. For example, having the air conditioning and heat going on at the same time would eventually cause risk of wear and tear the heating & air condition, causing us to have a new unit installed, being professionals that should have never happened. Also, when taking out the old furnace, you used no covering and left pieces of stuff everywhere that they didn't clean up and a mark on my wall that will not come out. Perhaps if the worker concentrated and spent more time on the job rather than being unprofessional, installing the furnace job would have been done correctly in the first place. Approximately we have spent roughly $11,600.00. It's unnecessary getting the service done from this company in the future. We would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

It happened after moving in just six months ago on a cold and wet day... the HVAC failed.... Of course the heat failed late at night and the way we noticed is when we got out from bed and quickly found a nonfunctional thermostat that mysterious failed. Made an EARLY panicked call and spoke to an outstanding lady who told me they would have a tech here in less than two hours.... I asked them to make sure they had a new thermostat with as we highly suspected that was the issue on our 16 year old system.... Tech called about 20 mins before appointment and said he was down the road sitting and wondered if he could arrive EARLY... Realizing I hear that almost as often as hearing someone I know won the lottery I was HAPPY to have him show up early! Took him about 15 mins to check everything out and confirm the thermostat was dead.... he had the one we really liked with him and the cost was EXTREMELY reasonable. With 30 mins of the Tech arriving the heater roared back to life and is warming the house as I type this. Now, we are awaiting the arrival of a sales rep to talk about the replacement of our old HVAC system as I refuse to live in fear the unit fails again when we need it the most. Oh, the service program they have is AMAZING and gets you your service appts done to make sure your going to make it through the seasons. PHENOMENAL response, FANTASTIC Service Tech and NO BS from them... There are others... but these guys are the BEST! read more

It is Super Bowl Sunday and we woke up with no heat. Actually we were up all night babysitting the thermostat with limited results. My husband found the listing for Kulacz and Sons in the Monee Home Pages. The first HVAC ad was two pages on Kulacz, touting no extra charges for nights and weekends! The owner Jake bounded up the sidewalk despite the temps in the mid-teens and the kickoff a few hours away. I had diagnosed that either the thermostat and/or filter to be the problem, scouted out my choices at big box, and presented them to Jake. He appreciated my research and concurred with my choices. That set the stage for myriad questions from me (less than 400) for the next 1.5 hours. Jake showed me how to complete my DIY project of adding some more wire pairs. Jake is so personable, energetic, informative and he charged us $50 less than we expected. My husband wanted to give him a tip, but he reserves those for his employees. Wow! No reservations whatsoever in having him return if need be. read more

I just moved to Chicago from California and know nothing about heating and cooling. To be honest I never had to use either. My first winter in Chicago has been extremely challenging and I am learning more about the frigid cold than ever before. The past week I have noticed that my heat did not seem to be heating as well as it did in the beginning of the winter. I didn't know if it was from the colder temperatures or if my heater was slowly dying on me! I started to call around to local companies and it was like everyone was almost laughing at me..... this girl just wasn't used to the cold. No one offered to come out they just tried to fix the problem over the phone. HELLO, I know how to use a thermostat. Thank You. Then I called Kulacz and Sons and talked to a wonderful woman who gave me some troubleshooting ideas. After those things were unsuccessful she offered to send someone over right away. RIGHT AWAY. All the other services were offering me next week service!!! An extremely helpful and caring gentlemen came over and found that there actually WAS a problem with my heater. I wasn't crazy!! He fixed it right away. Now I amsitting nicely in this below zero freezing-ness with a nice warm furnace. It was very inexpensive and to be honest I would have paid a lot more for the efficiency and the service. I totally recommend Kulacz and Sons for your heating and cooling. Truly fantastic people. I found them a couple of months ago thru groupon... I was very pleased with their service and told them I would definitely call them if I needed them again.. Well, today I needed them as I woke up this morning to no heat and a freezing house. I called up their emergency number and spoke to Jake who helped troubleshoot me enough to get my furnace temporarily working. I def recommend them. read more

Friends in the Chicago South Suburbs - These HVAC folks are the best. We've had some A/C and Heating problems in the past and they have provided same day (sometimes within 2 hours) services and their advice is always spot-on. Their pricing is also really good, too. We had a small furnace fire (that I thought was something else). They provided both estimates to repair and replacement furnace prices after walking me through exactly what he saw. We decided to get a new furnace (because it was only $600 more to replace). Then they asked if I wanted it done the next day! I was very surprised by that. Awesome company and great service. I can't be happier with the service I received from Kulacz & Sons Heating yesterday. I called for a quote on a new furnace because one of their competitors had discovered a cracked heat exchanger during a pre season check up and condemned the furnace in my house in Park Forest. I wanted to get multiple estimates, so I called and spoke with Jake. He told me that heat exchangers are often misdiagnosed (and sometimes on purpose by more unscrupulous companies) and that he would be glad to provide an estimate, but would also like to offer a free (!) second opinion. When he arrived at my house yesterday, he took the entire furnace apart to see the heat exchanger (which the previous company had obviously not done based on the amount of dust inside that was undisturbed). He said that it was, indeed, a mistaken diagnosis and that the furnace would still be safe to operate. As he was putting it back together, he thoroughly cleaned the parts, which should have been done by the first guy. When he was finished, I asked what I owed, and he would not take any money! He said they offer a free second opinion on heat exchangers and he stood by that offer. In my opinion, he did much more than just an inspection--he did the job I paid the other company to do! Since my furnace is getting old and I know the time is coming, I asked for an estimate for replacement anyway. The estimate he gave was 900 dollars less than the one from the first company. When the time comes for replacement, (or a general service call) I will DEFINITELY be giving Jake a call. I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

Today our air went out, I was referred to this company by friends in K3 that used them to replace their unit, they came highly recommended as a trustworthy company! Well I found out the same! I live with a person that can't be without air conditioning. We did not know what was wrong, just that we needed help today. A representative for this Company came in a timely fashion, although he had to fight traffic for Sir Paul Mc Cartney. The service person's name was Vince, what a professional! I sincerely wish I could give them a higher rating than 5/5 because they are just that good and honest. In winter I had a furnace problem. The problem was caused by shoddy work by another company. Kulacz fixed it at a great price and let me know how much I was over-charged by the other company. Just yesterday the blower motor for my AC/Furnace went bad and they were at my house in hours and had it fixed in about an hour. I love their honesty and quality work. Prices are very reasonable. read more
