Even though we ended up confirming it's likely a deeper internal issue (3-4 clutch pack), I really appreciated his honesty and thoroughness instead of just throwing parts at it. His pricing was more than fair, especially considering how much time he spent on it. Hard to find someone that detailed and patient these days. Definitely recommend if you need a solid, knowledgeable mechanic who won't cut corners. I will be using him for ANY future needs.

I even told him this is my first classic purchase and wanted to be careful, he assured me everything looked great. I drove the car less than 10 times and three weeks from it arriving, it broke down. It will now cost more than I bought the car for to be repaired. My mechanic said all of these issues are impossible to miss, and I was deceived. I am now in a financial bind because I trusted these two. It appears they were working together. When I get my vehicle back after 3 weeks.... it now has a new issue never happened before. I brought it back and they did not understand what I said the issue was, so another 3 days, problem still exists. other small things... my engine needed major fix (timing chain replacement). got my truck back after 3 weeks, engine cover in the back seat (was on the engine when I brought it in)... no windshield wiper fluid (seems for 5k they could have checked and put some in). customer service there is a joke, man running the office talks down to you. they knew I left unhappy... owner gave me a call... I told him the truth with 4 letter words. he said a bunch of fluff.... about how it's not the way they do business, etc, etc. even with a warranty, my truck will never go in that shop ever again. thankfully the warranty is transferable. overall.. the original issue is fixed... so far. but with the new issue (dies when starting sometimes) and the little things... I have 0 confidence in their ability or management. update after owner's response 7/24 yes, original timing chain repair SEEMS ok. with the little things missed/overlooked and the new issue I now have on start up, I have 0 confidence in what was done and whether or not it will last. a new noise occurred just yesterday... leads me to believe my truck will be back in a new shop soon. I brought it back to them and they not only didn't fix it, didn't understand the issue or even try to understand. regardless of what may or may not be addressed... the confidence is gone and should be seriously considered by any new customers. had I read a review like this, I would have looked elsewhere and not been in this situation. I start my truck up and wonder if it's going to turn over and whether or not it'll break down anytime.
