They came and fixed all the hail damage from the bad hail storm we had back in May. Keep up the good work.

Shane was really understanding and explained step by step what was going to happen which made me feel more confident knowing repairs were getting done right.

The team ran into some problems that were outside of their control and handled them extremely well. The spray makes a mess but they covered beforehand, and then cleaned up very well afterwards. Re cost, I obtained seven estimates. Only two came in cheaper, and I those estimators did not leave me with a good level of confidence that they would have quality work.

I also discovered that the technician moved my security camera from the window to a table without asking. This was captured on my security footage. When I raised these concerns with management, I felt they were dismissed. The manager told me he believed the technician's account over mine despite the video I provided. I also informed him that I intended to leave an online review. During our conversation, he responded by saying, "I'll sue you for defamation." And, " I can't wait to see everyone on Reddit laugh at you" That response made me question whether customers feel comfortable leaving honest negative reviews after receiving that kind of warning. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. I encourage anyone hiring these contractors to have security cameras and to document the condition of their home before and after service. In my opinion, moving a customer's security camera without permission is a serious security concern. Xcel's website has a list of companies you should use I'll provide a list below. I paid SunKey Energy in full on September 26, 2019. They took an extremely long time to install my solar array and inverter box. They finally finished the project in January 2020. On April 17, 2020 I received a certified letter stating that a company called CED put a lien on my house for $16,000. They are the equipment provider for SunKey Energy. They told me SunKey Energy never paid them for the equipment they put on my house. Please remember I paid my project off in full including equipment installation and service on September 26, 2019. I contacted Mr. Azari, and he advised me he was working on the problem and was having difficulty because of Covid restrictions. This did not stop CED from filing a lawsuit against me. I had to retain an attorney this cost me $2850. The attorney was able to resolve my issue without assistance from Mr. Azari. Mr.Azari refused to respond to mine, and my attorney's request that he pay CED for my equipment. I found out my inverter box was malfunctioning in May 2023. I contacted SunKey Energy to request a warranty replacement and service call. Mr. Azari contacted me and told me a subcontractor would be out to look at my property. However, he canceled the appointment the day before they were supposed to come out and did not tell me about it I found out the day. The subcontractor was supposed to come to my house that the appointment has been canceled. I asked them why and they told me Mr. Azari did not want to pay for the service call. I contacted Mr. Azari and he said my warranty doesn't cover labor however, according to my contract, labor and parts are covered for 25 years Mr. Azari still will not pay for the service call or the subsequent install of the new box. I am going to have to pay $850 for the service call and the installation of the new box. The box itself was covered under warranty through Enphase. Needless to say, I am not pleased with SunKey Energy's service. Their refusal to respond without drastic measures is disheartening. I would suggest you use ANYONE else for your solar needs. SunKey Energy will only cause you problems.

My father is an 80-year-old retired Vietnam veteran who retired at age 78. Earlier this year, my parents relocated to Fort Collins, Colorado to be closer to me and to access better medical care after living in a rural area for nearly 30 years. They now rely primarily on Social Security. My mother, a retired teacher, still works part-time at Compass Community Collaborative School because their Social Security income and teacher pension are not enough to cover their monthly expenses. In June of this past year, a sales representative from ION Solar sold my parents a solar panel system for their home. During the sales process, they were told they would be eligible for a 30% federal solar tax credit and that the energy produced by the panels would more than offset the electrical portion of their monthly utility bills. These financial projections were a major factor in their decision to move forward with the purchase. However, when they attempted to file their taxes and claim the credit using IRS Form 5695, their accountant informed them that they are not eligible to receive the full 30% credit because their taxable income is too low to utilize the credit. This limitation was never disclosed during the sales process. Without the expected $9,572 tax credit, the terms of their solar loan will increase their monthly payment by more than $100. For a retired couple living on a limited fixed income, this increase creates a significant financial burden. I contacted ION Solar to ask whether they disclose income-based eligibility limitations for the federal tax credit to prospective customers. The representative stated that the company is "not tax experts" and that there is nothing they can do now that the contract has been signed. While I understand they may not provide tax advice, failing to disclose a widely known limitation that can significantly affect affordability--especially when selling to elderly customers on fixed incomes--raises serious concerns about transparency and ethical sales practices. My parents entered into this agreement believing the tax credit would offset a significant portion of the cost. Without it, they were effectively sold a system based on financial assumptions that do not apply to their situation.

I got my July electric bill on Aug 10 and it was $380! I immediately checked my solar power system app and noticed that it's been down since June 23. So basically my solar has been down all summer, the most important time of the year. The system i purchased came with an email notification system, in the event that there's a system issue. Guess what, no email ever notified me! I called Solar Power Pros and they said "our email system has been down lately" and they said they'd come out and take a look at my system. They arrived about a week later, and i haven't heard a word from them since, even after attempting to call them on multiple occasions. Their customer service is awful and now who knows how long until they actually fix this? I will keep updating this review and hopefully this company will make this issue right. UPDATE 9/5/22. The CEO did call to explain the part that broke has been ordered and hopefully it will arrive soon and get installed asap. He also was nice enough to provide the phone number for the manufacturer (SolarEdge). I contacted them and they blamed the email notification system on Solar Power Pros for not enabling the notification, therefore both sides are passing the buck off. Hopefully somebody can make this right.
