My father had his roof and siding done by Gates last year. There were many mistakes along the way. The electrical was done improperly leading to my elderly father not having power for 2 weeks. The lights outside sparked when they were first turned on, huge fire hazard. The siding they installed was covered in black soot that they did not clean off. The fascia wasn't replaced and I have been calling for months for them to come give me a bid. I have called multiple people including the main office asking for a quote. Do you guys not want the business or is this company that incompetent? Find another company to work with. Gates will waste your time and money. read more

I had an excellent experience with Gates to replace my roof. It was hit by hail and damaged. The project crew identified that the decking under the shingles had to be replaced to be code compliant. Ironically the prior roofer did not indicate this. They worked with my insurance company and got the decking covered promptly. The roof installation was smooth and the crew cleaned up my yard. I agreed to allow Gates Enterprises to replace my hail damaged roof after being approached by a sales rep in my area of Colorado. After months of waiting and broken promises, they finally came through and did a great job on my roof with the exception of one major mistake. My old roof had a ridge vent, and that is the only way my attic vents. They did not put a ridge vent back on my roof, and they have promised several times that they would send someone out to get it taken care of. They have not done it. I have given them far more than plenty of time to follow through and finish my roof to code. I am now in the process of finding a remedy to this problem. read more

I worked with Joe Mestas as the project manager at Gates Enterprises and could not have been happier with the service they provided. The crew quickly and efficiently replaced our roof from hail damage. When it was done, Joe let me know every nail we found would be $50 back. It's been a couple of weeks, and we still haven't found any debris from the work they did. There was some minor damage to our gutter guards after the replacement, but once I notified Joe, he had it fully replaced right away without charge. I highly recommend them. read more

When the unexpected happens, turn poison into medicine. We, like many other families, were terrorized this hail season and had no choice but to assess the damage and repair. In those next few weeks, we were visited by what felt like every licensed roofing company in Colorado. Sure, it's difficult when you just get home from work to find someone at your doorstep. Or, you're sitting down for dinner and get another knock at the door. If you have experienced this, you know the feeling. You also know that avoiding that conversation is not going to protect your home or investment. Our roof wasn't going to fix itself, and ultimately, we, like everyone else, wanted the best quality work for the best price. I had countless conversations, collected all the business cards, and evaluated who we trusted to do the inevitable and necessary work. As a mental health counselor, I am fully aware of how taxing and overwhelming this process felt for my wife and me. We chose Gates Enterprises for many reasons. Yet, the biggest impression they left on us was how empathetic and trauma-informed their project manager, Dallas Leitz, was. When he knocked on our door, Dallas' approach and genuineness fostered our trust, allowing him to help protect us from future costs easily avoidable with quality work. Our Home took a large hit from the Hail Storm last May as did many homes around us. My husband and I had never experienced having to go through this process before. We called many contractors which is an intimidating, scary and humbling experience. We finally had the opportunity to meet with Wyatt Phillips a Marketing Associate for Gates Enterprises and from the moment we met with him, we knew we would be in professional and competent hands. Wyatt walked us through every step of the process and was patient and kind. We had many questions and he never hesitated to respond and make sure that we understood the entire process and outcome. Hired Gates to do my roof after they had done my neighbor's roof. They were prompt and courteous and did a great job on the roof. No complaints there. However, my satellite dish was not reinstalled correctly and eventually came loose in a storm. The satellite company came out and had to relocate the dish, and they told me that there were a couple of holes from the incorrect installation that would need to be filled. I called Gates and they immediately agreed to do the work and even said that it should be done ASAP. That was 5 or 6 weeks ago. Since then they have ignored most (but not all) of my texts and calls. The one response I did get apologized for the lack of communication. Then they went back to not communicating. I find this completely unacceptable. read more

A friend of ours suggested Gates Enterprises to come and take a look as they are a local company and have been proven to be a great company to work with. After scheduling an appt for someone to come and assess the damage, we were put in contact with a Project Manager by the name of Dallas Leitz. We really enjoyed working with him. A possible scammer. Received a call today saying they were coming to inspect my house at 10 AM, at 9:45. I never contacted these people and never asked for a roof inspection. I have a different roofer in Littleton and have already gone through my insurance claim. The roof inspector that called me, saying he was scheduled to come over, was very rude when I told him I didn't know what he was talking about. The scary part is he had my name, address and phone number. Be aware that they are a scam. I REFUSE to do business with scammers! read more

We have a very prominently displayed "No Soliciting" sign on our door with explicit instruction not to ring our doorbell or knock. Guess what their salesperson did? I would recommend Gates Roofing to anyone needing roof replacement or roof repair. Nate Stovell came out in January of this year to be on the roof with me when the insurance adjuster inspected my roof, at that time we thought the inspector agreed that the whole roof needed replaced. Not the case. Gates roofing put me in touch with someone who would fight the insurance company for me (insurance didn't want to pay for the damage that was incurred from a hail storm) Fast forward to July of this year I finally get a new roof. Nate was in contact with me through the whole process, even when I was ready to give up and just pay for it myself. I really can't express how grateful I am that they took the time to make sure I got a new roof. It's so rare to find a company that will go out of their way to help a customer. I utilized Gates to replace my hail damaged roof because I knew the sales representative. Despite knowing the representative, the service I received was not acceptable. My roof did get replaced and the crew did a good job. This is the only reason I am giving 2 stars. I had no issues with extreme winds that occurred shortly after replacement. The roof replacement required the removal and reinstallation of solar panels by an approved company. My Gates representative managed the timing and payment for this. The solar company was routinely unable to reach my Gates rep and had difficulty collecting payment for the work (after it had been done). This continued to the point where they were about to place a lien on my property! Various other sales 'promises' were not honored. They were difficult in working with my insurance. In general, the only communication I got out of them was when they were looking for money. In summary, good product with terrible service. I would not recommend using Gates. read more

Then his crew was so great they not only did a great job when replacing my roof they made sure that the whole area was cleaner then when they arrived. They had it done in remarkable time.
