Looking at my track record, 5 star reviews are hard to come by and only the best would get a 5 star review. G5 has absolutely deserved this 5 star review. I came into this shop because I had a scratched tint on my passenger front door. I have never been to the Pasadena location as I've always been to the Alhambra location. When they fixed my scratched tint, G5 was extremely careful and looking for any lint or dust that could have gotten in. They were so careful that they even closed my air vents to prevent any dust from coming out. While they tinted the car, I just sat in the lobby while watching TV. The lobby has a nice Keurig machine with also a fridge stocked with coke, Pepsi, and water. When I got my car back, the tint job was 10/10. Ricky has done it again and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or have G5 tint any of my future cars. Even though my car is not a 100k car, G5 take care of my car as if it was. I got the CTX Llumar ceramic tint since I didn't want to spend more than $600ish and I wanted to match my smoked rear windows. Jack showed me the tint on his car and let me view it from the inside. We decided on a shade and also did the front windshield. The install took about 2 hrs. The end result was impeccable. No bubbles. Perfectly cut edges. The shade match all around was great. It was very useful, especially because they have a board where they display their prices. This helps reassure their customers that G5 is transparent and honest in their pricing. There are many tint shops that do not do this, and even when requesting an estimate, are vague in their responses. I understand if shops do not want to provide a written line item estimate to protect their pricing, but the purpose of an estimate is to help the customer figure out a realistic budget. Jack wasted no time on this topic, and provided a clear estimate over the phone. Throughout the installation process, Jack sent me text updates on progress. I appreciate this because it helps me plan my schedule for the day, and when to expect to pick up the finished car. When the car was finished and ready for pick up, I was able to inspect the car prior to payment. I think this is usually pretty standard practice. What exceeded my expectation was that Jack throughly explained their warranty policy and guarantee. This help reassure me that if there were any issues with the tint and/or PPF, Jack and his team will properly assess the problem and make the necessary corrections if needed. Upon payment, Jack provided me a detailed receipt, and the warranty cards for the PPF and tint. Overall, Jack and his team over at G5 Tint Shop has earned my trust, and I look forward to using them again for my future tint/ppf needs. I normally don't post review on Yelp but I figured I will do so for G5 because of their outstanding work and service! I got four of my cars tinted at G5 throughout the years. The material they used for window tint were superb, and they did excellent job on tinting all four of my cars. But this review is not about windows tint but PPF. When I finally got my BMW i4 M50 after one year and a month of wait time, I started to consider doing full body matte PPF for my i4. I did a lot of research and received more than ten quotes for the matte PPF. G5's quote was on the higher side in the market but due to my prior experience with them, I trusted them with this multi-thousand project. I'm totally glad that I chose G5. Amazing work as always. I believe what makes G5 really stand out is their customer service - they walked me through how they will wrap my car before they got started, sent me videos and updated me throughout the wrapping process (good camera work btw), explained warranty and how to maintain PPF during delivery, and inspected the PPF a month after the delivery. They always answered my questions regarding my PPF promptly and always willing to help fix issues. I really appreciate that as I know my PPF will be well covered by warranty and G5 excellent service in the next ten years. In fact, I recently decided to replace the good old BMW badges with the 50 anniversary badges. BMW dealership refused to provide the service even for a fee since my car is wrapped with PPF. G5 was able to help replace the badges for me, free of charge. If it doesn't exemplify good customer service, I don't know what does. read more

So when the rear window tint of my sister's car (done several years ago at another tint shop) began to bubble, I decided to go to G5 once again. My sister really liked the color and tint shade that she currently had and had wanted the rear window to match it as much as possible. Ricky was very accommodating and helped me out in choosing which tint would be most similar. Car was dropped off that day and next day I received a notification that the car was ready for pickup. The tint was pretty close to what was already on the car and they did a great job removing the old film since the defrosters were not damaged. They also did an awesome job with the dot matrix as the film was pretty even at the top. I got my car, a 2020 Hyundai Ioniq, tinted here. I also got the UV film for the windshield. This is the first tint job I have ever ordered, so I didn't have much expectation going in. I did lots of research on tintings and prices and tinting shops before deciding to come to G5 though. They did a good job and in reasonable amount of time and on schedule. Friend referred me to check out G5 because my Prius Prime needed the tint. Never tinted any of my cars before so naturally I have no clue what to expect lol Jack was very helpful on the phone providing the quote and tried to fit my car in their busy schedule on a short notice. Once I got there, he showed me two different types of films and I decided to get Formula One Pinnacle for all except front windshield. I chose Stratos 70 for front windshield because I didn't want any color. I got the pinnacle 30 for front two sides and 15 for the 3 back windows. Since it was kind of last minute, Jack did ask if I can leave the car there for the entire day. I dropped it off at 1030 and he texted around 345pm. Overall fantastic work quality. Chose IR ceramic as my tint type. 70 windshield, 50 front, 35 in rear. Also did partial PPF on front end (gorgeously executed) . Everything looks so amazing.
