Overall experience from beginning to end was phenomenal! Spoke to Ricky on Yelp about the tint options they have and pricing, which in my opinion is fair price. Ricky was quick to respond and respectful, answering my questions and concerns. I decided to go with the Formula One Stratos for all windows and so far, I love it. The tint looks amazing and the "heat rejection" is surprisingly noticeable. When I arrived to their shop, I was greeted by Jenie, who super sweet and kind. She quickly ran through the warranty with me and a quick run down of the tint, which I greatly appreciated. The whole process took about six hours & when I came back, I instantly loved the look. Though I must admit, i noticed there was some water marks in between the film and the window but Jenie reassured me that it'll go away in a couple days. Part of me thought there was going to be lingering dry water marks, surprisingly there is none. After over a week, everything still looks amazing. Nothing to complain about. My review is long over due but I wanted to wait and see how the tint held up and it held up perfectly. For my 2016 QX50, I went with the Formula one pinnacle series 15 all around the back and 35 for the driver and passenger side. I also got the clear UV tint for the front windshield. G5 is pricey but the service and work done is impeccable. However, I did had a issue with some bubbles on the back window shortly after I left the shop but Ricky was on top of it and had their shop in Alhambra helped me fix the bubble since I had to leave back to the bay area the next day and it was a Saturday. Ricky made the process very easy and took his time to go thru the process with me since I was visiting from up north just to have my tint done. I also referred a friend of mines and he also go similar tint and was very happy with the outcome. If you don't mind paying a bit extra for better service, I recommend G5. The manager, Ricky, helped me out through the whole process (communicated with him through Yelp, over the phone, and at the shop). I did some research online (blogs, tint websites, etc) and I got tints for my last car so I knew what sort of tint I wanted to buy. Yet, Ricky was able to give me a clear picture and recommendation which left my mind at ease. The price is competitive as well, despite paying for great service. I asked for quotes from about 20 different tint shops and G5 provided the best price for ceramic tint. Made an appointment on Saturday at 9am. They only have 4 people working at the shop, so they focus on the quality of the work rather than rolling out heavy volume. I was able to get in and out of the shop in about 1.5 hours. The quality of the work was top notch. I recently picked up the car, so I'm waiting for the liquid to dry up, but no bubbles so far (Ricky does a full inspection for you to ensure everything is perfect). They also do a quick cleanup of the interior of your car afterwards (they didn't mention it, but I noticed everything seemed to get a wipe down). I admit I'm a bit picky when it comes to shopping for large purchases, so I'm not the easiest customer to deal with. However, Ricky was very accommodating and I'm very happy with the experience so far. Ended up getting the 30% FormulaOne Pinnacle ceramic all around and the Llumar Air80 in the front windshield. It wasn't cheap, but I got a solid quality tint job. read more

I called G5 on a Thursday and was able to get an appointment for the following Tuesday. When I showed up to the shop, I was unsure of how dark I wanted my tints to be. My previous car was tinted 15 in the front and limos in the back. While I loved it at the time, I didn't want to go quite as dark this time around. Ricky was very patient with me as he walked me through my decision. We went outside to look at some of the cars on the property and he pointed out each of the cars' levels of tints to give me examples of what the level of tints would look like. This place is legit and has a team you can trust to install high-end tint. I had Ricky and crew installed Crystalline 60 F / 50 R and PP Film on the headlights of my M3 and the final result was perfection. Not to say it was a cake walk, the dot matrix on the rear window of my M3 was heavy and not perfectly even from the factory and that gave us a bit of trouble. But this is where a skilled installer comes into play. Ricky and team had the skill and was willing to put in the extra effort to make this come out just right. Ricky, and all the guys at G5 Tint Shop did absolutely a fantastic job on my Tesla Model 3. I had the car tinted and PPF done and I have to say that this was by far the best experience I've ever had. The attention to detail is what sets this place apart. Ricky was very thorough in explaining all the different types of tints available and he examined the car for any pre-existing nicks of the paint. Surprisingly, even though I had the car for only 2 weeks he found a paint chip - lesson learned: don't wait on getting your clear bra done! The Model 3 has a massive back window. The question was whether to get one sheet of tint to cover the back window (way more expensive) or to get 2 pieces (much cheaper). Ricky convinced me that it will be very difficult for me to find where to 2 sheets of tint come together. I opted for the cheaper option, and I was blown away by the results!!! Truly amazing!! But ... after 3.5 years of sitting in the sun 24/7, the rear window started to bubble, and fairly badly. I finally reached out to G5 to see about how much it would cost *me* to get it repaired, before I located my receipt / warranty paperwork. Long story short - they looked me up, told me to "come on in" and they'd take care of it. And they did. There's a lot of places that will take your money, tint your car, and move on. NOT G5. This review sorta comes a little late as I had my girlfriend's car tinted a few years ago as a birthday gift to her. She picked Llumar CTX 30% and it came out great. I had also previously gotten my TL tinted at their Alhambra shop with great results. So great in fact, that I decided to get my new Civic Type R tinted by them as well! Ricky and his team are able to tint the hatch window without taking the interior apart which was great. I decided to also get Llumar CTX 30% since my girlfriend's car came out so well and has stood up the test of time. They did a great job and I'm glad I'm able to get some sort of privacy while driving now. I also brought a pre-cut trunk applique from Honda for G5 to apply and they did it perfectly. Quite impressed with this shop. Took my CX-5 in a couple days ago and I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment. Knowing I was early, I was perfectly content to wait in my car, but Ricky came right up and was super friendly and helped me right away. I had arrived thinking I wanted to have my windshield tinted along with my windows and sunroof, but after consulting with Ricky, I decided that maybe the windshield tint wasn't worth it given my short daily commute and the fact that I garage my cars. To my surprise and delight, Ricky didn't force the issue or try to up sell and even agreed that it was a cost that wasn't necessary for my needs. My car was ready at the agreed-upon pick-up time and the entire process was easy and efficient.
