It's been a couple of years since I inexplicably have not had Thai food. There was a neighborhood place back east that I'd frequent, but that's been a while now and guess I didn't prioritize finding someplace new. The restaurant definitely looks small from the outside, but is deceptively large. Service is very attentive and I was very impressed that they make their own ice cream and desserts. Entrees were chicken satay skewers, chicken pad Thai, and beef massaman curry. Then for dessert, mango sticky rice (MASSIVE portion) and coconut ice cream with sticky rice. A Resy dining credit was just the ticket. For some reason, this establishment is also listed in some places as Anya Urban Thai. But by any name, pretty awesome. read more

I went here because it qualified for my Amex Resy credit. And I like Thai food. I did take out and ordered in person. They said 5 minutes, but waited 12 minutes. I got the chicken drunken noodles, no veg. Spice level 2 out of 4. It was $19.45 which felt a little expensive for what I got. The chicken was good, not too chewy. Portion size was fairly small. It had a strong basil taste. It was spicer than a level 2. The spice and basil was all i tasted. Most likely won't be back as there are way better Thai places in the area... read more

We just had a family dinner and really enjoyed Gaati. Didn't know this restaurant existed in this plaza previously. Glad we were recommended cuz it was good. Friday night and it was not crowded. There were a few pick up orders. We were seated at as soon as we walked in. Decor was so nice and the furniture was also very nice. We ordered, food came out fairly promptly. Everything was very flavorful. Presentation was on point. Definitely a great family local spot to go to. We will return. read more

First time here for dinner with my family at Gaati Thai Kitchen. Pleasant atmosphere with soft music playing. They have a mini bar, cozy seating area and lots of items to choose from. Good service from Phil and PK, they were both friendly and checking up on us to see how things are going. On the menu: Shumai Crab Rangoon Gaati Dumplings Papaya Salad Chicken Tom Yum Shrimp Gaati Fried Rice Beef Panang Curry Spicy Eggplant with ground beef The appetizers were plated so nicely garnished with some light veggies. They were perfectly fried and not greasy. The Papaya Salad was refreshing. The Chicken Tom Yum was yummy, evenly balanced with the chicken and veggies. The Spicy Eggplant with ground beef was delicious according to our Pops it was on the salty side however, we didn't think so and if so just have more rice. Lol. I had a piece of beef from my Brother's Beef Panang curry I thought the beef was a bit on the tough side but the flavor of the panang curry was good. All in all everything we ordered was enjoyable. I recommend Gaati Thai Kitchen to check out if you're in the area and want to try a new Thai restaurant. read more

This will be more of a quick "FYI" update rather than a review: This restaurant is now Anya Urban Thai. I am posting this review on May 6, 2026, and the new signage went up weeks ago. I don't know if the restaurant has new owners or merely decided to change its name, but it seems like at the time of this posting, if you try to view their old Gaati Thai Kitchen website, you will get an error page, and they are still listed by the old name here on Yelp, whereas there is no similar listing yet for Anya Urban Thai. I can confirm that they do still offer good Lunch specials like the ones that were available before from Gaati Thai Kitchen. read more

I got a to go order from them. The service was friendly and efficient. I got a Thai tea while I was waiting that was well balanced and refreshing on a hot drive home. My noodles had a good spice level and the waitress was able to provide a recommendation for that. They were a bit stuck together when I arrived home but the overall flavor was worth going back for. The dumplings were well filled and more crispthan some French fries after the drive. The flavor was nice but definitely dip for another level. For a to go spot, I'd return but not sure id eat in despite a clean and welcoming restaurant. read more

I was served raw chicken. I called over 2 wait staff and one said it was white meat. The other said it was dark meat. Either way it was raw. I called later on and was told I have to wait 4 hours. I just wanted a refund. I have the photo of the chicken and it's clearly raw! I will be calling the better business bureau and the DOH. Unexeptable!! So disgusted by the behavior of manager and unwillingness to even listen to their customers. Now they can deal with the DOH.. read more

We were looking forward to take out ..: our daughter surprised us with dinner and my white rice was served in a plastic bag inside a tiny white box that was inedible. I was between 2 and 3 stars, rounding up since I was impressed with their non-alcoholic drink options. The massaman curry was okay- I ordered medium heat, not knowing what their spice scale was. This was pretty mild to me, but that was actually the overall issue. There just wasn't a ton of flavor. Curry flavor is generally so intense, and this just didn't knock me out of my shoes the way I'd expect a medium curry to. The tom kha soup was not my favorite- didn't love the thickness of the broth. But the cinnamon Thai iced tea was out of this world! The cinnamon flavor pairs so well with regular Thai tea flavors. I'd love to see that on more menus! read more

We stopped in on a Friday night and the place was empty. The menu was pretty big with lots of drink and food choices. We ended up with the green curry and a noodle dish. They accommodated my food allergies with no issue and the food came out hot and tasted good. The service was pretty good too. I love this place. Found this gem the first time in September and we've been coming back almost every month. The decoration are purely Thai theme, the workers are so wonderful! They are authentic and so quick. The food is definitely authentically Thai. I can tell the difference between Americanized Thai food to real Thai food since I've dated a Thai person in the past. The food is cooked right and seasoned right. The best dish was Pineapple fried Rice. Definitely ordered it to be placed inside a Pineapple. Their satay chicken is cooked right and the peanut sauce pairs well. My favorite is the fish cake, definitely my favorite! When I go again, I'll definitely take pictures. read more

I have never eaten in the restaurant itself but have gotten it frequently to-go. I particularly enjoy their shrimp pad thai and beef pad kee mao. Both very flavorful and noodles are not too gummy. Once in a while it'll be a bit too salty for my taste, but overall would still order them again. I have also tried the yellow curry with chicken, which is flavorful and on the sweeter end for curries. I just wish they could incorporate more veggies/chicken and maybe make the potato cuts smaller more bite-able pieces. However, I really enjoy the amount of curry as it goes a long way. The restaurant is in a strip center, so I didn't expect it to be a nice inside as it was. The dining area is small but pleasant. We had the spring rolls, the spicy basil stir fry, and the pad see ew, both with chicken. The main dishes were very good. I especially liked the spicy basil, although it was not spicy. Take my review like a grain of salt. I don't go to many Thai restaurants, my boyfriend introduced me to this restaurant, because he wanted me to try different foods. 1. I really enjoyed the environment. It's dimly lit, never too crowded, it's in a nice area, and noise level is low. 2. Service is great. The waitresses are always very attentive and helpful. 3. My recommendation is the chicken yellow curry. It is very good and my boyfriend and I always get the same thing. I wasn't a huge fan of the beef jerky as an appetizer, I would skip it. I have tried their coconut ice cream as a dessert and it is DELICIOUS! Best coconut ice cream I have had and I believe the waitress said it's made in house. Give it a try! read more

I've tried to like this place, but I just can't. It's like they have all the components of Thai food assembled but no one who knows how to cook them into good meals. All of the grilled or stir fried meats are overcooked and dry, nothing is tender, and all the vegetables are undercooked. I've tried 3 times, hoping maybe I just wasn't picking the right menu items. Went here for lunch earlier this week . There's many Thai places around, and I'd check them out before here. Nothing expressly wrong with them, just better quality and cheaper prices. I was the only one in the dining room, got sat. Ordered the crab wontons (over fried, imitation crab, sweet cream cheese? Ew lol), with your generic bottled sweet and sour sauce. Ordered the Pad Kee Mao (forgot if they do a 1-5, or 1-10 for spicy level.... I think 1-5 and I chose 4). It tasted good. My waitress was more focused on gossiping with the other worker that was prepping than being mindful when my drink ran out.. didn't interact with me beyond taking my order and bringing my food.. which is normal I guess, but after tonight's amazing food and service at Mama Pam's Real Thai Food, I won't be returning here. Again, nothing expressly wrong/bad happened during my experience.. just an average 2.5/5 experience. Thai iced tea, rangoons, and drunken noodle after tip was 35$ I suggest Mama Pam's Real Thai Food, which is 15mins away, but MUCH better food and service. read more

This place is an overlooked gem in a shopping plaza. The decor is really nice inside and generally quiet, great for a date. Food is amazing, really reminded me of being back in Thailand! I usually don't like to leave bad reviews, but this was necessary. Ordered this place for pick up because it was close by. I was extremely underwhelmed. My boyfriend and I got Wonton Soup, Chicken Satay, and Tofu Pad Thai. The Chicken Satay had NO seasoning whatsoever. It is typically supposed to be an orange color - this is just grilled plain breast with no spices. The peanut sauce didn't even make up for it. I have never had satay like this. The tofu pad thai was okay, more edible, but had more a sweet than salty flavor. Tasted more like oyster sauce than peanut sauce? Left me a bit confused. The wonton soup was probably the saving Grace and the reason for 2 stars. This was good. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt, but this meal was not good at all... for $34 I wish I got my money back. Save time and go to Gata Thai or Thailicious a few miles away. read more

I have to say I'm very disappointed. I came in to grab a quick iced tea before my Pilates class. I wanted to work a bit (on my lap top), go to my class then come back for a drink and some dinner. I LOVE THAI!! Not doing that NOW! First , when I asked to sit down for some iced tea and work a bit, you would have thought I had a third eye! There were 4 PEOPLE here and NOT BUSY AT ALL! Next they bring me the iced tea, but have Zero places to plug in to work. zero! The only place is outside on the patio that is locked with a padlock. All of that could be forgiven,,,,, but THEN .... A man starts SWEEPING the stairs right above the eating area!!!! SERIOUSLY People!! !!!! ( see pic attached ) I tried to get a few peoples attention to pay for my bill and get 1 refill on my ICE FILLED iced tea, I waited like 10 min and they just kept looking at me! No offer to refil and never once checked on me! After I flagged them down ( remember there are only 4 people here ) I was told they Don't do refills and that she would do it, this once ....Shhhhh. ( wow! ..... How lucky was I to get that secret refill! ) Sucks for them! They just lost out on a customer that could have been reoccurring with Multiple client luncheons and dinners.... Another spot in which we wanted to try something new and were shockingly surprised at the amazing quality and taste. We ordered take-out but I'd love to come in and dine-in one of these days. This Thai food feels upscale but has great pricing. We ordered Beef Jerky, Green Curry, Pad Thai, Papaya Salad, Chicken Larb, and the fried Duck. The best beef jerky I've had in town. Seriously, I order it everywhere and this was the BEST! Everything else was super flavorful and delicious. I personally didn't like the duck but it just wasn't to my taste. This place make some very good Thai food but they use a lot of oil and the portions size are more like kids size. I had the Pad see ew and the basil fried rice. Both were BOLD with flavor and delicious but they were too heavy handed with the cooking oil. Also, the portions were extreme small and disappointment for the amount of money you pay. Overall, this place make good food but because of the price and portion size I will go else where. There are many other Thai restaurant in the area with same great taste but cheaper/larger portions. read more
