5/5 Stars One of the best Pad See Ew dishes I've ever had. Great flavor, plenty of chicken, and everything tasted fresh and perfectly cooked. The crab rangoons were excellent too. Crispy, not greasy, and actually filled with quality crab. Service was impeccable from start to finish. Ontar is a true family-run Thai restaurant that has been serving customers since at least 2013. The dining room is humble and old-school, but that honestly adds to the charm. It was a little sad to see how quiet it was. We were the only customers dining in, and we also learned the restaurant is currently up for sale. That's unfortunate because the food, service, portions, and prices were all excellent. If you're nearby, come support this family-run restaurant and treat yourself to an amazing, authentic Thai meal. We will definitely be back to enjoy the food and support them again. read more

have been here before several times and it's always a great experience. It's not fancy but it's very clean! We did some shopping at Smith's almost next door. They have a great lunch special. The only problem is husband bought popsicles, lol. I suggested we get to go but he wanted to eat in. He was very sure that they would put his popsicles in their freezer. We were greeted immediately and seated. The lunch was brought quickly and was delicious. The waitress had absolutely no problem assisting my husband with his popsicles. She even remembered to return them to him. This restaurant is one of the best in the area and it was surprising that we were the only people there at high noon. Wow, this place is such a hidden gem! I had noticed it a few months ago while shopping at Smiths and added it to my list of Thai restaurants to try. I finally made it there this week for lunch and I have been missing out all of this time! We were greeted and seated promptly, our server was very friendly and attentive the entire time. They have a good lunch special until 3pm with a variety of entrees to choose from. Each special comes with your choice of the daily soup or salad, an egg roll and rice. We opted for the salad since the daily soup was chicken noodle and we opted instead to order the egg flower soup on the side. The salad was pretty basic, but fresh. I wasn't a fan of the dressing as I don't like mayonnaise based dressings, but the others in my party were fine with it. The egg rolls were good, crispy on the outside with good flavor. The star of the show is their egg flower soup though. We all agreed it was the best version of that soup that we've had. The broth was thick and had big ribbons of egg throughout. It also had the traditional peas and carrots instead of corn like many places in Vegas have. They also added scallions, which put the soup over the top! It was served with a healthy amount of white pepper on top, it really was so delicious. We all agreed that the soup could have been our entree and we would have left happy. I'll absolutely be stopping in for a to-go order of this soup when I'm shopping! Back to our entrees, we had a variety from Pad See Ew, Sauteed Broccoli and Mongolian Beef. Both of our lunch entrees were with chicken and all three of the dishes were packed with flavor. For spice, we ordered levels 4 and 5 (their scale is 1-5) and I found mine (level 5) to have just a nice hint of spice, definitely nothing crazy. Which was fine as the flavor was really good and spice can overpower that. This is absolutely a spot to add to your list of must try Thai food! read more

Can't believe we've now lived in Henderson for two years and we just now discovered this gem! It's a little hidden but wow what a delicious find went for lunch this Sunday and we ordered sweet and sour chicken, veggie noodles, fried rice and Mongolian beef. Everything was brought promptly, and cooked perfectly! The service is amazing and we appreciated how they asked us about heat level we will definitely make sure to add this into our rotation for family dates. Just had a very tasty lunch at Ontar Thai. We both ordered a lunch special ($10.95 each), and the food was delicious and served quickly. We began with the soup, and it was probably the best soup I've had with a Thai lunch special anywhere. The broth was full and rich, and the chicken was both ample and tender. I'd have it again in a nanosecond. For lunch, I ordered the Pad Ka Paow with chicken, and my husband ordered the Pad See Ewe with chicken. Both dishes were extremely flavorful, and the servings were generous but not overwhelming. We realized after we were served that we didn't specify our preferred heat level, and while there was some heat and lots of flavor, it wasn't too hot or overpowering. The server was really nice, and next time, we'll probably ask what the standard heat level is (and I might try going up one). Regardless, it was really enjoyable. read more

Ordered to-go through their app, everything was spot on. I ordered drunken noodles, pad Thai, the creamy mushroom soup. I forgot what it's called. But everything was flavored as Thai entrees should taste like. The drunken noodles looked bland, but it was actually flavorful, also had a hidden punch to it too. I have never been so disappointed in a restaurant. I don't like writing bad reviews, but I really feel the need to let people know not to waste their money. I got the Yellow Curry lunch special. It came with a salad & egg roll. The dressing on the salad was so sweet & the Yellow Curry was not only super sweet, but the portion came in a small soup bowl. I was shocked at how small it was. The only thing that was good was the egg roll & it had a burnt taste to it. I think the oil was old. It was almost $30 for 2 lunch specials. I wouldn't even pay $7/each for what we got. I'm hoping they take this review as a sign to ease up on the sugar & make the dishes worth the price. read more

Seeking dinner on a late Friday night, my wife had a hankering for Thai food and chose this place. We were the only people in there so didn't know what to expect. In the end we left very happy and full. My chicken pad Thai was definitely among the best I have had, my wife loved her seafood soup, and my son said his chicken yellow curry was way good! I have been a frequent customer of this quant Thai restaurant for over 20 years. Now it is under new ownership and things have gone downhill. I ordered the lunch special (my favorite - yellow curry w/ chicken) and all I got was the curry and rice - for $20! Just a couple months ago, the lunch included a small salad and an egg roll - not anymore. The food was fine. The service is great, but I just can't afford to pay $20 for a little container of rice and some chicken. My friend was also there, but dining inside instead of taking it to go like I was - he ordered the same item but was given the soup or salad option. I didn't stick around to see if he got the eggroll as well - I'll ask next time I see him. The interior is much nicer since the small upgrades. read more

Ordered take out today. Spring rolls soggy and seemed to have something premixed. No comparison with rolls from Panda Express. Chicken Satay were like Nike shoe soles after 20 year usage. Tough, no marinade, minimal sauce provided. My wife's Panang Curry, watery, no taste of a curry mix. Straight to the bin. I just visited this restaurant, formerly, Bangkok Orchid. The food is awesomely delicious. I ordered the fried shrimp appetizer and the green curry with chicken. Also ordered a Thai tea. Very clean and comfortable environment. Service is great. The food came hot, fresh and tasty. I will definitely be coming here just as often as I did with the former restaurant. The food and customer service here was amazing. The restaurant was very cute and cozy. My sister and I went there on 2/15/24 we were greeted by Gunner who was very nice and accommodating. We ordered beef jerky,seafood rice, Thai Boba tea and Singapore noodles. This was some of the BEST THAI food I have had and I love Thai so this is saying a lot! Gunner provided EXCELLENT service while we were there, I would definitely recommend this place over and over again. Will be ordering from them from now on. One of the cooks actually came out and we spoke to him, they were wonderful as well. LOVED EVERYTHING, if you are in the area you should definitely go for the best Thai food around. read more

Found this Thai restaurant just off Sunset and Mountain Vista in Henderson. Upon entering, my wife and I were pleasantly greeted and offered a seat by the owner. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. He suggested the lunch special which included a fresh salad and egg roll with my Orange Chicken. My wife had the Chow Mein noodles, which she claims was the best she has ever eaten.
