I could talk about the ambience of the cafe and the menu. I could talk about the good ice cream and the hefty display of enticing cakes. However, what made the biggest impression on me was the people who work here. They were all so incredibly nice that I kept thinking about them on my long drive out of town. Thank you.

Good was pricey for what you get. Ordered a sandwich $8 add bacon $2 Literally ONE slice of bacon. Menu is super Limited as well

What I really like about this restaurant is it's casual but looks upscale. I almost rated it lower because I expected more because it does appear high class BUT this IS a casual restaurant. More casual menu items with prices to match but service and appearance is quality. Full bar which is nice! Gadsden poppers are a must! I don't suggest the chicken fajitas or Hamburgers as they lacked flavor but the rib eye was tasty!! It's definitely worth the stop if you're in town. They do advise you to make reservation but we were seated promptly even though they lost our reservation.

This was a surprisingly good lunch at this newly renovated restaurant, the former Saddle & Spur. We ordered simple entrees: the Gadsden Burger, the Mushroom Swiss Burger and the Gadsden Poppers. We ordered the Burgers Medium Rare, and they were cooked to exactly that temperature. Honestly, it had been a while since I had eaten a Hamburger that good. The French Fries were ACTUAL Potatoes likewise well prepared. The Poppers were almost a little more than we could eat because of the hefty amount of crispy bacon, but we managed to polish those off. The Menu is understandably limited, but apparently, the focus is on executing each menu item perfectly. The ambiance is a casual, understated Western elegance. Unfortunately, we felt slightly underdressed with our t-shirts and jeans, but we were made to feel very welcome. With two iced teas, the entrees, appetizer and two Chocolate Cake slices, the tab was $43. By the way, our service was perfectly paced. A pretty amazing lunch considering it was the Opening Day!

The staff would not acknowledge us and so we waited a few minutes and still nothing. They were not crowded just didn't want to do business

My order was to go, and I ordered deep fried egg rolls (2) (very good) but pricy ($10). I also had Sweet and Sour Pork ($17, also pricy). The so-called sweet and sour sauce was home made with chunks of pineapple and onion mixed in. It looked like a brownish soup-like sauce that did not taste like the traditional sweet and sour you see in other restaurants (thick reddish sauce that is very sweet with a hint of sour). I used it but was not satisfied with the taste or texture. Finally, an order of pork fried rice which was made with white rice and a few vegetables ($11 a little pricy). I don't know if their AC was working, although the ambient temperature seemed comfortable to me. I'm not sure why they had a floor-stand fan oscillating. At the table where I sat, the fan was blowing on me every time it swung in my direction. I had to get up and move to the other side of the table so that I could avoid this problem. This did not affect my appraisal rating of the food I ordered but it was annoying. It took approximately 15 minutes to receive the order. For one person, I'll admit it was a little more than I wanted to eat in one sitting. I shared it with my wife. But with tax everything came to just under $40 which was too expensive. I will not eat here again and will stay with one of my other favorite restaurants that makes their food in a more traditional sense for less money.

We were the first ones in the building when it opened at 7am. Mitzi, manager and our server, made our breakfast a true dining experience. I had Eggs Florentine, my friend had a blueberry pancake, and her hubby had the Copper Kettle. Food was delicious but the coffee was strong and the sausage gravy way too peppery. However, service and ambiance were top notch. The place was lacking the loud tourist crowd this Monday morning. There were only four table during our hour-long visit. Ever. Pricing is deceptive. Be careful on build-your-owns, and just because you are offered a biscuit instead of toast, doesn't mean it is included with your meal (I was charged extra), and a tiny side of gravy is extra too. The thing that was most surprising is the fact that the floors, walls and ceiling are unbelievably filthy. The wall at the end of the bar is visibly fuzzy at quite a distance. And it's a huge wall. The ceilings are black with grease, and on a Saturday morning the floor looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, if not months. This review applies to the Lowell location. Sounds like they are moving to a new location in Tombstone Canyon. Gone will be the ample free parking. Hopefully they can keep it cleaner. Bottom line? We won't be back.
