I have fond memories of this place from 21 years ago when my husband and I arrived in the area and I got my first post-army job teaching in Bisbee. We would meet here on Fridays fir beer and chat with the many Cochise College instructors who hung out here. Back then the bar served no food. I was the first real craft beer bar in the area, wirh 18 beers on tap. Owners have changed hands a few times since and a kitchen now serves hot meals. The bar is historic and smells of musty western history. I walked on on a Tuesday night and ordered a chicken parmegan sandwich and a beer. I was told it would be a 25-minute wait. My server was efficient and polite. It was more like a 40-minute wait but it came out hot. Bread had a slight vinegary aftertaste and didnt have enough zest, but it was still good. Room was filthy. Decided to leave rather than sleep overnight. Disappointing and will not return. Deserves a -5 stars.

We went to get breakfast two weeks ago before heading back home to Phoenix. My husband liked his silver dollar pancakes and he ate my breakfast burrito and said it was OK. I wanted to like my burrito but I felt a little turned off due to the servers dirty clothes. He was nice but I just couldn't eat. This is a me thing, I cannot eat if I feel like the hygiene is not there. The decor was nice. So no complaints from the husband but this was a me thing, I'm sure others wouldn't mind or notice. read more

I was in town with my daughter over Labor Day weekend (2023). We needed a bite to eat. Since we were staying there, we stopped. But they were out of nearly everything! Flash forward to 2024. My hubby and I popped by, but it was dead. Led me to believe service hasn't gotten better or they were out of everything. Oh went for breakfast and back later for drinks. This would be five stars if we had never gone back later. Food and service the first visit were great. They had a bartender issue because one over slept and showed up late. The one that was there on time was fabulous and well organized. The other not so much. When we went back it was just the late one, the bar was backed up, filthy, and the sleeping beauty was playing tickle with a boy at the end of the bar. This went on for a bit. We bought a second home in Bisbee a couple of years ago and my husband lives down there most of the year. Every time I speak with him he has gone to the Grand to hear music or eat there. When I go down to visit him, we both like to go there together as well. We have seen some fabulous bands here. The whole city easily moved itself up to top #3 cities in AZ, even for someone who has lived here for 30 years and considers myself a Phoenician. Bisbee, had me intrigued beyond belief, had me wanting more and more at every turn and is a place where genuinely as I left, I was still googling and wanting to learn more... there is so much history here in every single building, piece of glass , corner store ! I mean every single building and thing here has a story and a piece of history... In fact, the culture I loved too, now I'm not a homophobe at all, but I can for sure tend to not like that type of crowd as 99.9% it means there also liberal democrats. Then everything not normal takes route and changes the place, however, this is not the case here! It has taken route and is everywhere but Bisbee didn't let it change the "old western" vibe... they actually started mending there policies to meet halfway if you will. As for a example: across from my hotel in a parking lot that now hosts cars, In the past also had a building built into the mountain wall that was taken down but the concrete frame up to a 1ft was left in tatters on the ground. Well the 2-3 homeless people I saw in the city always ended up here. This little 10 x 10 open aired hole in wall (literally) now has a couple small make shift beds, they have a small kitchen with a pop belly stove and a fire and the local town/police let them live here and don't kick them out . I recommend this city as I am gonna be returning very soon ! read more

I got bamboozled searching for breakfast in Bisbee. We were looking to eat and this was just about the only place open. Walking in, it smelled dingy. Looking up at the ceiling, I felt regret. The floor had other people's food on it. The meal was really basic and unimpressive to me. The flies, however, seemed to love it. I was swattin' and bee boppin' those suckers away so dang much my heart rate reached cardio zone and my watched buzzed asking me if I was working out. I think the flies ate more of my food than I did. And even worse, is I spent more at breakfast here than I did last night for a really good dinner elsewhere! A pleasant surprise to swing in on a Saturday night. Many folks getting out and looking for something to do and a place to get food. The Grand is your typical bar, however more lit vs dark. Nice large bar area. Small stage for hosting small music sets. It seemed like we just missed a set at 7pm? Waiting to see if another comes in. Food.... not impressed with the hummus plate. Tasteless but fresh. Missing seasoning of any type! The Caprese Panini was fantastic! Great pesto taste! Beer: The Mayan Stout is pretty darn stout. Almost like a rich expresso. Today is Sunday 28 May @. 6:45pm when we were at the grand. The manager starting kicking people out at 6:45pm for a concert that was starting at 8 pm. We just wanted to enjoy a beer with a meal. We told her we were not staying for the concert. She immediately told us we had to rap it up. We told her we had more than an hour and we would leave. She insisted we tapped things up. If you want to be rudely kicked out because you don't pay for a concert ticket more than an hour away then go to The Grand. read more

Cool vibe but I feel compelled to say the worst French 75 ever. Just straight up lemon juice with a tiny tiny splash of champagne. Update- went back the next day. just ordered a different drink and enjoyed the band. The place is great. And they allow dogs in the bar area. Still don't recommend the promoted French 75. We was wandering out around quarry town when the stomach rumbles came on . Dog friendly you say ? Yes, on the bar side . I'd go back for the bar alone and it's olden day vibe and good local craft brews selection . We had the zucchini fried and French fried and both were just right . Good crunch and chew . The hummus plate was spot on too. Nice grapes . Crunchy veggies and a good amount of pita to slather that hummus up with. The one downer was the grilled cheese blando . Now blando ain't an official word like uh Brando but it's a good word and should be added to the lexicon of descriptive descriptions . No offer of a type of bread . We got served plain white . No condiment , mustard , a side pickle , nada . But we'd go back for the aforementioned dog friendly bar vibe and mostly sides . The woman bartender was the epitome of perfunctory . This is a hotel, restaurant and bar complex. It is right on the main drag in Bisbee. We ate in the bar area (after a disappointing wait of 75 minutes at the Quarry and left) and had their fried chicken sandwich with onion rings. It was excellent. Chicken juicy and tender. The onion ring were pretty good too. The bartender was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed it so much we came back the next day for their double cheese burgers which were also very good. I could have gotten the single cheese burger because the double was so huge. read more
