What a little gem. Went for lunch after being at the park with the kids. We ordered a large pizza and let me tell you we all loved and devoured it!! It was so good. The inside is small but very clean and comfortable. They had a TV with sports which the boys loved. I've been meaning to try this restaurant for a long time. I'm glad I finally went last night. The restaurant is small. And there was a lot of foot traffic, which is a great sign. The owner, Elena, was there taking orders and helping to serve all of the customers. She was so friendly and humble. We ordered a large cheese pizza, garlic rolls, and eggplant Parm. The garlic rolls had an unexpected slight sweetness to the dough. Which I loved. I could've eaten a dozen by myself. They were outstanding! The pizza was by far the best tasting pizza (to my liking) that I have had here in Miami. The pizza dough had the same slight sweetness to it and the sauce as well. The eggplant Parm was good. Decent portion. The banana chocolate cake was really good. Elena checked on us a couple times to make sure we were doing well along with the rest of the customers. That was appreciated. You can tell she really takes pride in this business. Gaetanos will now be my number 1 for pizza and garlic rolls. Unfortunately we found out with this visit that my "Pisano" Gaetano Gambino passed away in December. My wife and I have fond memories of his smiling face and warm greetings whenever we visited his little shop off the beaten track. I knew Gaetano since 1969 from Kings Hwy in Brooklyn and my wife since Cozzoli's in Dadeland. He exemplified a true old world pizza maker with a great product. His wife now runs the shop and is still putting out a great product. RIP our dear friend. read more

Amazing!!! I just happened to stumble on this hole in the wall one late night craving pizza and wow was I happy. This place immediately embraces you when you walk in like a hug from a loved one. I came here at the request of my best friend who came down with his kids from NC and they asked for great pizza. When we got there I guess they were in the mood for something else since they saw Spaghetti was in the menu. So my friends son had the Spaghetti with marinara sauce, his daughter had the spaghetti and meatballs, and me and my best friend had the large pizza. The kids loved the spaghetti dinners and me and my friend well we thought the pizza was very good. The sauce in the pizza was delicious but a tad sweet. Great cheese and the crust and pizza dough was tender with a good enough crisp to it. It wasn't filling because it wasn't thick but good enough to satisfy my hunger. I have been to Gaetano's Pizzeria many times now and every time I go, their food is always delicious and their service is top notch. One of my favorite dishes is their Lasagna. Rarely do you go to a restaurant where the food tastes like a home cooked meal. Gaetano's gives me that feel every time I go. Whether is their Lasagna or their delicious Garlic Roll served with a side of this amazing pasta sauce, which I have been told, is a home made sauce made by the owner, Rosa Elena. Lastly, for all you beer lovers, i usually order a Peroni when I go because the beer is served with a beer mug that is frozen for you to poor your beer. The best. This place was honestly a HUGE let down. My boyfriend and I were staying at a hotel near by and saw this place had good reviews. Sadly, we do not see how this is possible. The pizza I ordered was super dry and flavorless. My boyfriend ordered a Chicken Parm, with double chickien. Not only did they NOT give us the extra chicken we paid for ($4 upcharge), it was also super bland. we used to order pizza and Stromboli every week for almost 2 years, this was my favorite place because the taste of the pizza sauce and the dough was perfect but like 2-3 months ago it seems they change the chef, the sauce and dough changed. we keep trying for a few weeks to see if they changed back but no, last week was our last order. the dough is now chewy, hard, dense and the sauce missed the old time flavor.
