I got invited to karaoke night here. The bar was easy to find. It is in a nice residential area, near the school it is located in a small shopping center. It does have plenty of parking lots all around. I had a good time. The crowd was friendly and local. I did not sing but my friends did and they had a great time doing it. They sounded great. You know sometimes the audio is not so good in some places but here it was good. It was nice and clear. I ordered the Hog Cheesy Bacon Chunks. It was good. I wanna learn how to make them. I can see why they are the first thing listed. I also got an Angry Orchard. I was glad to see they carry this beer. I had a good time here. You have to order your food at the bar. They don't come to the table. Everyone here is nice. I enjoyed my time here. read more

What a wonderful Sunday afternoon at The Angry Warthog Saloon.  Found this local hidden gem on Yelp.  So greatful that I found a bar with fresh food, great craft beer and wonderful service just a few minutes from my home. The place has live music on Saturdays and is dive bar-ish.  But I can't really describe it as a dive bar because there is no smoking, the bar food is super fresh and delicious and there is craft beer. The theme here is South African and American.  They have some South African food on the menu and South African beer and wine.  I tried one of the South African beers, it was light and some sherry which tasted wonderful. The food is fresh.  I ordered wings extra crispy and they actually got them right... Winning!  Also ordered the fried okra which was super fresh, not too salty like other places, and by far the best fried okra that I have ever had.  It was absolutely phenomenal. Going to try to return again this next weekend to mingle with the regulars.  Hope we get along, because I would really love to make The Angry Warthog a habit. This is a really cool local bar/grille. The bartender/server was friendly and nice. They do have several draft beers and they are $1 off for happy hour. I ordered shrimp po boy and it was good and they gave me a decent amount of fries with it. I ordered a Diet Coke because I didn't feel like having a beer. They were out of Diet Coke and she offered me a Coke Zero (even better)! My kids ordered grilled cheese and liked it. The only complaint is that the food is kind of slow. It took a long time to get to the table and there was no one else that was ordering food. I do get the sense that the cook might not have been ready for an order like that. We definitely plan on going back. We just might go for drinks and just order appetizers. read more

We stopped here one night looking for some quick food and a beer after a trip down to Miami. TAW is in a residential area, kind of isolated, next door to a liquor store. Some people told me before I went there that it's a bit of a rough place, shady in the evening. So, let me clear this first: obviously we all have a personal idea of "shady" or "rough", but come here relax. Yes, at late hours there are some characters around mostly going to the liquor store, but zero problem whatsoever. It's a dive bar for sure, but that means it is just not pretentious, customers are real people and not "wannabees" and the atmosphere is relaxed, nothing sketchy about it. Food is better than expected in a dive bar; it tastes fresh and you can tell that they care about it. Service was all we need, I mean they are not going to be asking you every 2 minutes if you need something, but also they don't charge you 10 bucks per beer. Again, it's a relaxing place, good beer, pretty good food and friendly service without overdoing it (and normally if you walk into a dive bar you don't need "overdoing"). Too bad the place is a bit far for us, but if we are in the area again, which we will as we often travel south of PB County, I'll stop again as this place has everything right about it. read more

Unless you read about this place somewhere, it would be difficult to find it: it's located on a small road in the heart of a residential area. We stopped here one for a late dinner on a weekday. The place was almost empty, but I wonder how the situation is with parking during the weekend: the lot is not very big. It has a dive-ish atmosphere, a big bar, a few tables and also a billiard table. It is supposed to offer South African specialties but I haven't seen too many ethnical dishes on the menu that day: I think this is more of a traditional American restaurant bar anyways. The food however was really good: I wasn't even hungry when I ordered the (huge) jalapeno poppers, but I liked them so much that I wanted to try something else too (we don't live close by, and I don't know when we'll have an opportunity again to stop here) - the quesadillas were very good as well. They have a good variety of beers and prices are very decent as well. The service was ok. read more

They have live music on the weekends check out the Facebook/Instagram page for events. Cool local bar with 8 large screen TVs that show an array of sporting events, rugby, soccer, baseball, basketball, NFL, College and UFC fights.... There's a happy hour from 4-7 M-F and drink & food specials. Also, bucket specials for NFL and College games!!! What a hidden gem!! Amazing meat pies (we had the curry chicken and be warned, they do not hold back on heat/spice). Also tried the fish and chips and jalapeño poppers (with a yummy mango sauce). Unique south african food menu for those looking to try something new and loads of traditional bar food for those that play it safe. A fantastic selection of cold beer and wine. Don't bother going, zero service. My husband and I sat there for 30 mins and were walked past by the owner and the bartender and weren't offered menus or drinks. We got up and walked out. Nice cozy bar in a small center in a quiet Cooper City neighborhood. A friend had told us about it so we stopped by for dinner one night. It's a clean place with a large bar with some tables and high tops. They have a nice menu and ordered since it was a Tuesday we ordered tacos and weren't dissapointed. A perfectly poured cold Guiness made it complete. I hear they have live entertainment on certain nights but it was quiet the night I was there. The waitress was nice as were the owners who were there as well. The menu is more elevated than just bar food and they have daily specials. They are now serving breakfast on the weekends which also looked good. I like to support locally owned businesses and this is one I'll go back to. read more

Went there today.. Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich with grilled onions. Chicken was raw, felt like chewing on a burnt steak. Tater tots were good. Person taking the orders was cooking also. Just a suggestion if you are short on staff, the owner should come in and help or don't open if you are short staffed. Giving people uncooked food is not good and no I didn't bother sending the food back because was short on time and it probably would have been the same. read more

Wandered in there for Taco Tuesday and my friend and I were pleasantly surprised by the amazing Mahi Tacos and super friendly staff. It was the bartender's first night and she was super friendly and helpful despite being in training herself. She got all our questions answered. Atmosphere is very neighborhood bar feeling. . . We have come almost every week and today we never got food after waiting over 30 mins for basic egg dishes!! Warm coffee...bottle water no cup no ice... Such a little gem of a neighborhood bar. The food is really good. Staff is very accommodating. Many TVs for whatever sporting events you like. If you're lucky angel will be working she's very entertaining. And the patrons are very friendy ( Of course you always get those 1 or 2). Love this place to kill some time and have a couple. My wife and I stopped in for dinner on Sunday night. We had heard about this restaurant, and being Cooper City residents, we want to support local businesses. What a treat !! Dinner was terrific. The place was not crowded, and not noisy ( 2 important criteria for any restaurant). We ordered the chicken wings, sausage rolls, scotch eggs and chicken and mushroom pot pie. The wings were big and flavorful, the sausage rolls were wrapped in a delicate pastry. The sausage itself was very fresh and not too spicy. The scotch eggs were unique and tasted great (a must get in this restaurant). The pot pie was freshly made, also in a delicate pastry shell. We highly recommend this new restaurant. Last night I went to the restaurant and It is really a very special place. The food is always so very different and delicious it's a wonderful treat. Last night I had bunny chow , which is a lamb curry stew served in a bread bowl. My friend had Dutch eggs which was also terrific. And the sliders were great too ! The servings are ample enough to share so we all enjoyed trying each other's plates ! They have a beautiful choice of South African wines that are not over priced , and so delicious and of course different kinds of beers from all over too. And they have several big screen TVs with different sports events on it. Last night we watched the MMA cage paid preview fight ! Service was terrible and slow! Waitress didn't know the menu. Food took forever to come out and at all different times. One of the entrees was extremely overcooked and burnt on the bottom. You couldn't even cut through it. There was only 1 waitress and she seemed very new but this is no excuse. They were not busy at all. When we arrived there was 1 table of 3 seated (they already had drinks and their food order went in shortly after we arrived) and a couple drinking at the bar. She was not overwhelmed at all and the kitchen shouldn't have been either. Bathroom was dirty with urine on the floor. Disappointed overall. I have eaten here many times before and travel from Delray Beach just to have the wings and scotch eggs. On Friday I added the bunny chow to our order and regretted it. The curry was so hot it made eating the meal an unpleasant challenge. The wings and scotch fillet were great as usual.
