No more complimentary nail trims with exams, no more selling monthly heart/flea/tick protection medicine for a one-month supply for customers that are on a budget. Labs need to be done before renewing medication can be prescribed or administered- for elderly pets that have been on medications that are working! Why put them through that? The hours also changed only being open Monday through Thursday and that is difficult for working adults. I voiced my opinion that to pay for a three-month supply would be difficult for me, as I now rely mostly on social security after a recent cancer diagnosis. I had a well-paying job prior. If you break a package and sell three tablets, why can't you sell just one tablet for people that may have multiple pets like me. I received a letter in the mail that I was rude to staff and would not be welcomed back should my communication not improve. I was not rude; I just expressed my opinion. I have never in my lifetime been given a letter or reprimand like that! I have spent the bulk of my professional career helping people. I worked for hospice and was loved and respected.

Dr Tribby and his staff are knowledgeable, professional, and took great care of our babies. They went above and beyond to do micro testing for my kitty whose ears have been bothering her, got us the results and antibiotic drops before we left. Check ups and full vaccination boosters as well as the test and additional treatment for one of our cats under $450 is very reasonable. We will be gladly returning and I recommend this facility to pet owners in the area. My only complaint is that they had 2 large peace lily plants in the treatment room, which are pretty well known to be toxic to cats. Not sure why they would choose to have that in a vet office. Other than that it was a great experience!

He had dental surgery scheduled yesterday morning and I called them on Friday to ask if they would be reaching out to let us know of any changes in operating hours on Monday because of the weather. I was assured that they would let me know. Drove 45 minutes and I arrived for surgery at 7:40 AM and nobody was there. I called the only phone number that they have with no answer, knocked on the door and I sat there until 815. There was no way I was going to drive home immediately so I went looking on Facebook to see if there was somebody, anybody that I could reach out to to find out what was going on. I don't follow them on Facebook. And right there was a post saying that they were not going to open until 10:00 AM due to the weather and they would reach out to reschedule via their Facebook page and email. I checked my email and there was nothing. Nohing in junk mail, no phone calls, voicemails, texts. Nothing. Drove another 45 minutes to take my dog home and get myself to work. I'm at work for 30 minutes and I get a phone call asking me to bring him in "now" at which time I explained to her what happened and it was completely blown over. I left work and I went home and got my dog, drove to Augusta again and I took him in. While there I explained to someone else what happened and it again was completely disregarded. "They were supposed to email the cancellations". BUT YOU DIDN'T! And WHY would an email be a sufficient means in which to cancel a surgery??? Not only do I not get notifications for my emails, I don't look at them daily. So even if I had gotten one I wouldn't have known. She tells me they're gonna start the surgery in about 30 minutes and I should get a phone call around 2 PM. Updating me about how it went. I didn't receive any phone call anywhere around 2 o'clock so sometime around 3:30 I started calling to see what was going on. ALL DAY FROM THE MOMENT I TRIED TO DROP HIM OFF I MADE 22 calls and not one was answered. No compensation, no sincere apology, NOTHING. Well, I have a big mouth and I will run it about this interaction until the end of my days when anything involving veterinary care comes up with anyone I'm talking to. For seven years, I've told people about the amazing visits that we've had there and that's over. The staff that you had is clearly not the staff that you have now. My husband also said when he picked him up that the girl at the front was not friendly at all. Also, at our pre-surgical appointment the tech that came into the room was grossly picking food out of her back molars with her fingers after she walked into the room. Gross. And maybe don't do that. On a positive note, it was cheaper than the quote we got at the overrated Aiken Vet and my dog is alive and doing well today.

She went over my pet's health, reason for our pet's visit, and asked if we had any other questions regarding our pet's health or the visit in general, of which I didn't have any. Dr. Henderson then apologized for the events of our last visit. She reassured me that the new office manager had been informed of the events, and instituted changes that should prevent any further issues in the future. To be fair, it appeared to me that these changes were effective considering the night-day difference between our last visit only two weeks ago and now. Dr. Henderson offered me an opportunity to speak with the manager myself, to which I declined, and commented that our visit today was a completely different experience from our previous visit. I thanked her for the opportunity, and that was the end of our interaction. Checkout was super quick and easy, and the bill was much MUCH better this time, and on par with previous billing for the same type of visit. I hope that this experience is the new standard at Paradise: A friendly, professional, and welcoming front desk; adherence to appointment times with little or no waiting (things do happen, it's understandable. But minimize the impact on other appointments); a quick, no-nonsense appointment with an awesome, knowledgeable, friendly and personable veterinarian; comparable and competitive pricing for services.
