Always excited to grab something from here when in Cherry Hill. Glad the reward program is up and at it for this location. However, the portions have decreased significantly. They also no longer sell the Thai iced tea which was the best Thai iced tea I have ever had. We were excited to try the plaintains advertised, only to learn this location never has it. I had recommended the spot earlier to family and friends. We will not be returning, sadly.

I would give the fried chicken and rice a 5 stars. Love the subtle ginger flavor of the seasoned rice. The fried chicken isn't crispy but juicy and flavorful. It reminds me of the Chinese take out fried chicken wing flavor. The truffle fries weren't great. It didn't have a strong truffle flavor. It tasted more like peanut oil to me. The ranch dip tasted like mayo--I would choose another dip next time for French fries. The soup is free with the meal-- extremely salt and tasted like white pepper. Probably would skip the soup next time.

I stopped by here since I was in the area. I was so happy this location opened up :) I've heard of Gai chicken in NYC and bummed I couldn't go the last time I was in NYC. You order through the screens and the food comes out pretty quickly. I ordered the dark meat chicken (Khao mon gai) rice meal which comes with a side salad (meh didn't care for it) and some sauces. I also ordered a side of the marinated Thai bbq chicken. Both chicken had a lot of flavor. I especially like the spice blend on the Thai bbq chicken. Very good! I didn't care for the soup that comes with it. It was tangy for some reason? The rice was fragrant with garlic and paired very well with the chicken. It's good enough to almost pass for the Khao mon gai street food carts I use to eat at when I was in Thailand! Yum. Def. Would come back if I'm ok the area again.

First visit to Gai Chicken & Rice in Cherry Hill, NJ. Gotta say, our Roast Chicken & Rice and Fried Chicken with Thai Spicy Sauce were both the cat's pajamas. Great flavor, perfect texture and chewability. That ginger rice when dripped with the chicken juices on top was delectable. The fat tenders weren't crispy, but offered enough resistance to make it a fun chomp, and the dark red amber sauce poured over it all was just the right subtle sweet hot punch in the mouth. Almost addictive. The shop is primarily takeout. Order at the two monitors and everything is ready in minutes. Service comes with a smile and answers to any questions are freely given. For comparison, I think this roast chicken is better that what is offered by Costco. Definitely, more flavorful, with the blackened skin a secret delight. The non-GMO, non-antibiotic, locally sourced chicken makes it so much the better.

So most importantly the food was tasty. The rice was cooked well and the chicken had flavor. I purchased the rice and roast chicken with an extra side of the fried chicken. The disappointment comes in how much chicken you get!! I feel shorted!! Maybe because my order was "Uber eats" but my bowl definitely was more salad than chicken. And let's not get started on the extra chicken. It cost $5.95 and it looked like scrapings of chicken skin which after delivery was soggy. Again, first priority being taste they scored but portion size and presentation I'm pretty disappointed. If I try again I'll go into the store.

Best chicken and rice I've had in philly/jersey. The spicy chicken in the bowl was super tender and the best crisp you can get on chicken. And whatever spices they used, package and ship that jawn to my house...it smacks. 10/10 Sticky tenders were great as well. Really big pieces of white meat chicken with a great sauce. But the spicy chicken bowl stole the show. Recommendation: stop reading and go

I had the spicy chicken bowl. It was so delicious and excited my taste buds. The portion is plenty. You can take your time and order at the user friendly kiosk. The service and staff were excellent and speedy. The packaging was great and the atmosphere. You can sign up for their rewards program, which I did. I will be returning with friends.

Been 3 times since they opened, each time the food is great. There's self service ordering tablets to the left so you don't even have to talk to anyone. The tenders are worth the price, they are big and juicy. The fried and roasted chicken both good, same with the sauces. The soup is a little too peppery so I skip that now. Wish there was a basic ginger sauce like other Thai chicken spots. More of a takeout spot, only a couple tables in the front.

Great quick healthy option. The flavor of the roasted chicken was excellent. Prices were reasonable for the amount of food you get.

I ordered my meal ahead of time through DoorDash, and it turned out to be an easy and quick pickup with the food being hot and fresh when I arrived. The wings are by far the best Korean fried chicken I've had, with every piece packed with juicy meat. This is exactly what you expect when ordering this dish, and the honey sesame sauce did not disappoint one bit. The wings were perfectly coated, and there was still a pool of sauce for dipping at the bottom of the container. Next time I will definitely turn up the heat and try one of their spicier sauce options to experience that flavor profile. The nicely fried mandoo pork dumplings were full of a delicious filling mixture that paired perfectly with the soy vinegar dipping sauce. The dumplings had a crispy exterior that gave way to a flavorful, well-seasoned interior. The only thing I'm disappointed with is that I didn't discover Dolsot House sooner.

It remained packed our entire time there. BYOB so my girlfriend and I brought two beers with us and they provided glasses. We ordered three main dishes and two appetizers and all of the food was amazing. Soups, dumplings, bibimbap, bulgogi... all flavorful and delicious. Despite the crowded dining room, everything came out quickly. The servers were all incredibly kind, efficient and professional. This was my first time back here in over a decade but based on our experience, I hope to come more regularly in the future.

At this point I'm starting to wonder if the chickens are real or if I've been the victim of an elaborate prank. Fortunately, the food more than made up for my poultry disappointment. We ordered a couple different wing flavors, including the Honey Mustard and a blueberry-based sauce, and both were excellent. The wings themselves were massive, meaty, and cooked really well. The Honey Mustard had a nice balance of sweetness and tanginess with just enough mustard bite to keep it from feeling overly sweet. The blueberry flavor was surprisingly good too. It had a sweet-tart fruitiness that sounds unusual on paper but worked really well with the smoky, savory wings. Both sauces had plenty of flavor without completely overpowering the chicken. The atmosphere is classic neighborhood pub. Cozy, casual, and the kind of place where people seem comfortable settling in for the whole evening. Downstairs there's a bar and shuffleboard area that definitely attracts a younger crowd. It gets pretty lively and noisy, which adds to the fun if you're there with friends. My only real complaint is that parts of the place felt a little messy. The stairs leading downstairs were sticky, and parts of the basement floor were too. Nothing that ruined the experience, but it was noticeable. The staff, however, were fantastic. Fast, friendly, and personable. Even when things were busy, they kept everything moving and made us feel welcome. Overall, it's a fun spot with great wings, good energy, and a laid-back crowd. Still giving it four stars because I left without seeing a single chicken, and I feel mildly betrayed. But if you're looking for a place to hang out with friends and eat some seriously good wings, it's definitely worth the visit.

The space is a good size with a large bar in the middle. Service was good. Probably wouldn't go out of our way to come back but if we were ever back in the area we would stop by.
