This was delicious. Want to make this at home... simply avocado and chickpeas

We came here 2 days ago while visiting London. Everything looked so yummy. We chose to have a light snack here... the fresh bread was lovely. And we had an oat milk latte, scone, and fermented vegetables. I wanted to taste the dairy cream but you know the scone didn't need anything added. It was so flavorful on its own. Oh and this small sandwich of chickpeas and fresh avocado. Wow, that was my favorite item. And we took a loaf of "leftover" sourdough bread for the rest of our trip. We like to eat in the mornings with almond butter. Easy to travel with. It is a cafe style line and then you are on your own to grab a table.

We stopped in Gail's bakery during our Soho walk. We had a flourless cake that was nice, light-- not fudgy. We had an excellent cookie, a cranberry nut oatmeal cookie that was delicious, chewy, sweet and salty. The service was excellent! The store is small and clean and lots of customers coming in to buy sweet treats.

A bakery with a lot of fancy looking options. Only thing is that they don't warm up anything, so I had to pass on the yummy looking sausage roll. What I did try was awesome though. Ham & Cheese Croissant: Loaded with cheese, on top and inside, so I'm a fan since cheese is my everything. Lots of ham inside too. This overloading though makes the croissant lose it's airy and flaky nature, tasting more like a pressed breakfast sandwich. But I'm ok with that, because cheese. Cheese Straw: Here the pastry managed to be flaky and cheesy. So much nice cheese baked on every external bit. Pistachio, Lemon + Rose Cake: Delicate, really liked this. The rose glaze on top was fancy, along with the rose petals. The pistachios in the spiced cake were uncommon, since many cakes here don't use pistachio. High recommend. Caramel, Banana + Pecan Cake: A banana bread, leveled up. So much caramel on pecan on top, you'll begin to wonder if this is a bun. Very addictive.

I visited London for the first time, and whilst walking around the city, I noticed a lot of people going to Gail's for a quick bite. I decided to go as well and was pleasantly surprised by the array of freshly baked goods they had. I ended up ordering a cinnamon roll and cheese scone; both were very nice, but could have used a little bit of warmth as they were a little cold when I received them. The interior of the shop was quite small as well, although there is outdoor seating. Because it was quite cold this day, the shop was filled to the brim with people. Overall, it was very nice and would definitely come back.

Visiting London for the first time. Tried several sausage rolls and this one was the best! The sausage tasted very herby. The cheese on the croissant was delicious! We loved it! Tip, cashless place. Small area with just a few barstool seating area. Yum!

It was great coffee and pastry. If you and in the neighborhood, stop by. The atmosphere was nice, busy but quick and good.

Stopped in for iced mochas and a sausage roll. The sausage roll was FANTASTIC. We will be getting these again. They have many other pastries that all look delicious.

My husband and I took a a trip to London and when researching bakery's came across Gail's. We hit it up one morning and were not disappointed. The line was out the door but moved fast. Seems liked a neighborhood staple since most people seemed to be on their way to work. I got a croissant, porridge and flat white with oat milk. My husband got a ham and cheese croissant and latte. We sat inside to enjoy our breakfast and then took off to explore London. We saw a few more Gail's around town and it made us smile!

Delish scones. Got the cheese and chive and the raisin, with clotted cream and jam m (plus flat whites). And it did not disappoint. Buttery and warm. Will come back.

All of the pastries at Gail's were amazing. I was personally never a scone person myself but Gail's converted me.

Great cross bun, but very slow service and very over-priced considering the eat-in experience.

Amazing maple glazed scone with pecans! The place is a bit small, but the cozy bar seating looking out on the alley is nice.

Wonderful pastries (especially good cinnamon buns) and great coffee, wish it was less expensive.

My husband and I decided to try for a table and we ended up waiting about 45 min - 1 hour to sit. There was a super short line for to-go pastries (and sometimes there was no line), so if you're pressed for time, definitely do that! I love how the Arome workers help move the line along and help people in line find tables. Also speaking of Arome, the AROMA was fantastic! It smelled to buttery and fantastic both inside and while waiting in line. I ended up trying: the iconic Honey Butter Toast, Black Sesame Mochi Cookie, and Almond and Chocolate Croissant, a Savory Croissant (I think Sausage and Cheese), a Chai, and a Matcha. Everything was SO GOOD. All the pastries were amazing. I'm glad we got a mix of sweet and savory things. Everything we had was buttery, flaky, intentional, and made with love. What you'll like the most will depend on your personal flavor preferences! Definitely give this place a try!

Mmmmm......Donuts! (Said in the voice of Homer Simpson.)…read more They do donuts so righteous here. As we were walking around Borough Market we saw the line for Bread Ahead and realized it was for the donut stand they had outside along the street. We had to jump on line and drool over the display of sugary goodness. We each tried a different donut and was not disappointed! So many varieties to choose from - coconut, lemon curd, blackcurrant cheesecake, seasalt caramel and honeycomb, and others. They don't skimp on the fillings as each bite was flavorful. Yum!

I'd reccomend checking out the bakery as this is where the fresh goodies are made and you're more likely to get the fresh batch here. Price wise, it's a bit steep. At 5£ per donut and 6.50£ for a piece of focaccia. But you're in a tourist area so high prices should be expected. We opted for the cheese focaccia that came right out from the oven. For 6£, it's not bad. It's pretty sizable and a good shareable snack! It's a good crusty bread and had a subtle garlic flavor with a blend of stringy cheese. If you like cheesy garlic bread, this is for you! Out of all the snacks you could get in the borough market, this is a solid option! But I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.
