Galactic Chicken is certainly what I would call a hidden gem. You May drive right past it if you didn't know it was there. The restaurant is small and doesn't have a lot of seating, but that has never been an issue before. The staff is always so nice and has great customer service. Typically I get the 3 tender combo. From the picture here, the chicken looks small, but I promise you it is a lot of meat. There's no fluff - you will be full! They also have 4 and 5 piece options. They also have their own sauce that is a combo of chipotle and honey mustard and it's delicious. The only drawback is that the place smells heavily of grease, which is understandable since it's a fried chicken restaurant. Just be prepared if you choose to dine in! read more

Probably best for gluten free fried chicken seekers. But I wasn't a fan overall. First I will say the service was great and the staff is so nice and friendly. Flavor was just odd and I couldn't put my finger on what it was. Paprika? Both myself and my friend agreed and we didn't eat them. The chicken meat was hot and tasty but the batter seasoning was VERY salty and dense. The batter I guess like a cornmeal or something giving it incredible crunch but if you like the traditional fried chicken skin this won't compare. Probably for the gluten free folks... And I get it. Which is why we were there since my friend has a gluten allergy. Just letting you know. We both ordered the 3 piece meal and both only ate the wing and leg. If you look at pics others have posted you'll see some chicken that looks flaky with traditional looking batter/skin and some that looks dark and flat (referring to the skin). Ours was the dark and flat and I didn't like it at all. I didn't even know you could choose??? Fries were very salty and I could not eat them. I tried. I wanted to. The texture and crunch was perfect. They were cooked to perfection. So if you like salty fries you'll love them! For us that don't like overly salty food maybe ask them to not salt yours and allow you to do it yourself or tell them light seasoning. Coleslaw was bland. I expected more of that coleslaw "zip". And I love coleslaw so I'm not being petty but it did lack flavor. There is limited seating. Although the booths are big. Give it a shot. This is just my opinion and experience. read more

The only gluten containing products they sell are Texas toast, wraps, and sandwiches. First impression was that it was HOT inside. They have a couple of window ACs but it was upretty uncomfortable. The staff was very friendly and service was excellent. The portions are very large. We ordered the 4 drumsticks and 3 chicken tender meals and could have shared just one meal. The fries were delicious. I loved how they were tossed in ranch dressing. As for the fried chicken- I found the breading to be a little too hard/crunchy for my taste but the flavor was unique and the chicken was tender. I am a sauce girl so I was very happy that they brought a whole bottle of ranch and Galaxy Sauce (think chipotle honey mustard with a kick) to the table. Chicken coatings was so over cooked one couldn't hold it to bite. I literally had to bust the coating off to get to the chicken. Once I got to the chicken the next challenge was trying to eat the hot chicken with the very flimsy plastic fork. I wasted much of the chicken trying to get it off the bone. I can't say the seasonings worked well for my palate, but my friend thought it tasted good, and the chicken inside was juicy. The fries were definitely overdone once toppings were added, I suggest ordering naked fries. The slaw was made with crispy cabbage that held onto the dressing well. The street nearly runs out before Galactic appears. It looks like a home with a restaurant stuck on the bottom floor-- because it is. I absolutely LOVE this place. I don't know how they do it (and honestly I don't really care) but they manage to make super crispy chicken without doing the normal double batter dip thing that places like Popeye' and KFC so. The skin on the chicken is more like...I dunno how to put it...glassy I guess. You don't get all the crumble bits, but it's so good that part won't matter. The only issue I have ever had was that they get a little carried away with the salt on the fries sometimes. But that is more due to my own personal preference. I just ask them to go easy with the salt and all is well. Give Galactic a try the next time you want some good chicken. I can almost promise you won't be disappointed. read more

Even if they weren't good I would probably give them a good review, gluten free is so hard to find. Good news though, it's delicious and we've been back twice already. I've told everyone that will listen to take their gluten sensitive, allergy or celiac people here as a surprise. We like fried foods too!! Giant, moist chicken strips, fried pickles and French fries all gluten free. Sadly the macaroni is not gluten free but one can hope it's something they are considering.
