After experiencing hip pain for several months, I went to see Mike at Galan sports chiropractic. He asked me what my symptoms were then he explained what he was gonna do during the session. After working on stretching muscles and flexibility he then performed hip an adjustment. I was amazed the next morning when I woke up with no hip pain when getting out of bed. I've been here twice and I always came out feeling amazing. Im pretty sure it's all the body's toxins being taken out from getting adjusted. The first time I went in I seen Heather Galan for adjustments to my back area due to body boarding and hurting my back also because I was having migraines frequently. After my first visit my migraines went away for a really long time. I came back today unfortunately Heather was booked for months out. I got to see Mike Keller. Another great person to see! This time it was for again my migraines and my necks been feeling stiff. I feel so much better and happier. Sometimes I feel like I don't need it but my body really thanks me afterwards. I was not in any serious pain but when I saw that he was an A.R.T. practitioner I took the opportunity to make an appointment. I had two sessions one at a full hour and another for a half hour. It was great to be a patient and be worked on. He not only helped me feel better but advanced my training by working on an old injury. Dr. Chad is not only a great doctor but a solid person. I saw Dr. Mike several times while on vacation. Before I left town he had done a complete realignment. He is great technically and talked me through every thing he was going to do, again while he did it and then after to ensure I understood. He has great diagnosis skills, was able to pinpoint soreness and tightness and then make adjustments. But only after spending time stretching my spine to relax it. He is a first rate chiropractor and his training in ART really gave him insight that I haven't been able to get with PT's, massage therapists, spine doctors, or other chiropractors. I had a poor experience with this company. I went once for an assessment, and was told in the first ten minutes that I needed four appointments with Abe and ongoing appointments with Strider. I paid for the set of four for Abe, attended only the first one due to a work schedule change, and was charged at full price for two appointments instead of being refunded three at the prorated rate of the four appointment package Further, Strider was shocked that I had already been through his "brand-new" program FIVE years ago in Vail, Colorado. The overall experience left me feeling like I was about to get stuck in a money machine, and that when I asked for refund, they took as much as they could out of my pocket on the way out. So grateful for this practice! My husband and I are visiting Maui, and normally I see my chiropractor once a week at home in California- both of my parents are chiropractors in Massachusetts, but I have never seen a new doctor while on vacation in my life. This time it was necessary, the muscles in my neck & shoulder were acting up and I had a roaring headache. No amount of advil or my usual stretching was doing the trick. We had gone out for coffee and spotted this place- I walked inside thinking that at best I'd have to schedule an appointment for later in the week, but we were greeted by the lovely receptionist who was able to get me in with Dr. Keller right away. He was just lovely & worked on the exact area causing the pain & headache. He explained the A.R.T technique & adjusted my upper back and neck. I walked out without a headache! We scheduled my husband to see him a few hours later & he had an equally satisfying experience. Dr. Keller went as far as to write down the specific muscle groups he should have continued work on. If your in any kind of pain you have to see these guys. Abe Galan practices Active Therapy Technique (A.R.T.) and if you haven't heard of it before it is amazing! Pain in caused by your nerves getting stuck in muscles so the nerve can't glide the way it's supposed to and A.R.T. frees up the nerve to glide again and instantly the pain is gone. I had a back fusion done that went very badly and have seen other A.R.T. practitioners on the mainland and Abe is by far the best I've ever used. I've gone in to see him when I could barely walk and an hour later I was out of pain and ready for a stroll. I actually had a medical doctor on Maui tell me one time, "Abe Galan has the best hands on Maui". You owe to yourself to check him out if you are hurting, His wife, Dr. Heather Galan and Dr. Chad Ferguson are the chiropractors and they also perform A.R.T. I had never been able to convince my wife to see a chiropractor but she finally hurt bad enough that she saw Dr. Heather and instantly became a fan. Since then she has used both Dr. Heather and Dr. Chad and feels they are both amazing. I have also started using the services of their personal trainer, Strider Kerrick and have found him to be top notch as well. He is certified in and practices F.M.S. I got to chiropractors back home, but this was a much better experience then just an chiro appointment. If you want fast results and lose lifetime body pains this is the place for you. I have to say this place has changed my life. Dr. Heather Galan and Abe Galan have worked magic on my body. I am a 42 year old athelete and hurt my back paddling outrigger last year. The injury was so bad I thought I may have hurt my back for life. I started going to see them last year because a friend and felllow athelete said they had changed his life and fixed his bad back. So I did and I can't believe how great I feel. I was visiting Maui and hurt my lower back while on the beach. I regularly go to the chiro in the Milwaukee area and see a Palmer grad so that is what I sought out. I found Dr. Chad to be a Palmer grad so I decided I needed to see him. I called Monday morning and they got me in 2 hrs later. I was definitely a little nervous as getting cracked is already a little unnerving but I had no choice. Well needless to say he was great. He also did the A.R.T. thing and that was the best part. All the pressure points he worked on truly got me out of pain. I ended up seeing him on Wednesday to make sure things were on the up and up. I now am going to find someone in my area that does A.R.T. For the past year or two I've had joint/muscle or something pain in my left hip and thigh - arthritis in hip is moderate - but my Dr would look at xray and say "the arthritis isn't that bad" as I limped painfully away. Got progressively worse, became obvious that it was a soft tissue thing and there have been times where I literally could not walk for several minutes. Very frustrating! The orthopedic drs on this island are overextended and were no help whatsoever. Several friends mentioned Galan Chiro, so I gave it a shot. Went to Chad (sorry, forget his last name). Mine is not a "one appt fix" kind of thing, so I'm at my third appointment. I can NOT believe the difference. It really, really helps. I'm actually surprised the A. R. T. thing hasn't become more widespread. It really seems to fill a gap in soft tissue rehab that isn't quite addressed through physical therapy, chiropractic care or massage. I strongly recommend trying this, if you think it might help you. The treatment is excellent and Chad is terrific - I'd recommend him to anyone. NOTE: This unfortunately is not covered by my health insurance, which is a bummer on the part of the insurance company. But even out of pocket, it's totally worth every penny. read more

If you're looking for an acupuncturist, go see Lynn. I had a painful neuroma in my foot that bothered me for 6 years and I had unsuccessful attempts to treat this with an acupuncturist on the mainland. After two treatments with Lynn the pain was gone and I was able to return to normal activities, after a third treatment the flare ups subsided, and now it's been many months since any pain in my foot or treatments.
