Mr. Kim is incredibly meticulous and detailed oriented. When altering skirts and dresses, he doesn't just shorten or lengthen them, he thoughtfully adjusts them with your body shape and fit in mind, which makes a huge difference. He clearly knows fabrics well and understands exactly how each material should be cleaned and handled. Although his English is not fluent, he is always friendly and professional and takes great care with everything--from everyday clothing to more delicate items. Turnaround time has always been reasonable, and my clothes consistently come back clean, pressed, and looking fabulous. :)

But, the cost for three shirts, two suit jackets, and one pair of pants was about $37. Also, extra points because my items were ready first thing the following day. I'll admit that I originally came here because I needed a pair of pants altered. Unfortunately, I could not use the alteration services because I need 2- to 3-business day turnaround. While I have not tried a lot of dry cleaning places in the area, I have a feeling this will be my go to spot.

I'm not certain the clothes are cleaned on site or outsourced but what I know is my clothes did not look like they were well cleaned just well starched for certain items. My earmuffs are sticky on the outside and my coat is covered in lint. I will be calling to have these items re-cleaned. I do recommend them for their customer service but bear in mind they are pricey; for 2 skirts, one trousers, one coat, one sweater and earmuffs I paid over $80.

The costume is fairly big so I was concerned it may have been problematic to hold it for several weeks, but the owner said that it was fine. The costume smelled fresh and the color looked much more vibrant than before. The inner lining which was separate and detachable was much whiter than when I dropped it off. When I picked up the costume, the pieces were separated by color and folded, as applicable, into two separate bags. These are all good signs that it was properly laundered with care. The price was very reasonable and came out to $60, which was much cheaper than an estimate at a prestigious dry cleaner that was going to charge over $150. I highly recommend Woodley Garden Cleaners. Tips per two signs: -Wednesday Specials (dry clean service only): For every three garments dropped off on Wednesday, 1 will be discounted. -You can now make payments online before coming in for pick up.

My only nitpick is that it feels a little awkward to get the attention of the couple running the business if they're both not right up front. When i came back to grab my shirts, the lady (who I assume does the tailoring) looked like she was resting her eyes and the guy stepped out back to do something and was then in the back of the store for a few minutes. I wasn't in a rush so I didn't mind waiting (despite the kind of crappy Christian music playing on their radio) but they would really benefit from a family friend or just a third employee who is primarily up front to help coordinate, even if business is slow. They're super convenient for me and very affordable, so i'll be a repeat customer. Honestly, give them a shot for dry cleaning if you're nearby; don't believe the 8-10 year old negative reviews.

When this happens, I've always gotten the sense that there is resentment on the part of the owner who handles the alterations; almost a disbelief that she didn't nail it on the first try; she agrees to redo it begrudgingly. A couple of weeks before Thanksgiving, I dropped off a pair of black Italian corduroy suit pants that needed to be taken in. I've had these pants for years, and actually had them take them out for me a few years back. A week later, I picked them up, just before Thanksgiving, when I was scheduled to wear them to officiate my sister's wedding. I tried them on the day before leaving for my trip, and they were still a full size too large in the waist, but there was no time to get them readjusted. That's fine; it's not the worst tragedy. But after Thanksgiving, I brought them back in, and pointed out that they were still much too large - a good inch around the waist. Mind you, I paid $45 cash in advance to have the pants altered. This isn't a cheap tailor. Rather than apologizing and agreeing to get it right, the owner who manages the customer service immediately challenged me -- intimating it must be some type of mistake on my part, explaining the complexities of the alterations in a way that made no sense, and even suggesting I might have lost weight over Thanksgiving (which is such a common occurrence, as we all know). Then she took another look at the pants and told me these were not the same black Italian corduroy suit pants I had brought in to be altered just two weeks earlier! To say that I was floored is an understatement. Again, I've provided them steady business over 15 years, and I'm a pretty friendly and pleasant person, just FYI. After I became agitated at being called a liar, not to mention the absurdity of finding some type of replica black Italian corduroy suit pants that had already been altered, she relented and agreed to fix the pants. I picked them up a week later, and they fit well. But to be treated with such blatant disrespect after providing business to this establishment for 10+ years is beyond insulting. When I returned a week later I, I tried on the pants and only one fit the other two were still humongous around the waist, I drew their attention to this fact only for them to inform me that I only paid for the pants to be altered in the crouch area and not taken in. I asked the lady how could i a lay parson who isn't a tailor dictate how to alter a piece of garment, I paid you for a service which you haven't fulfilled. Needless to say they were adamant and insisted that I had to pay an additional $50 after I had already paid $70. They refused to alter the clothing and refused to give me back my money. This is tantamount to highway robbery and I will advice anyone to stay a way from this establishment of cons artist. They practice horrible and business practices and lack any integrity. I will never return and if I could give zero starts I would stay away
