Updating my previous review - my experience with the haircut and service is still really good. Andy takes his time, and the results are great. I still like the place overall, especially the comfortable wash chair, hot towel, and scalp massage. That said, I noticed a communication issue during my visit. Someone had called Andy for an appointment, but when he showed up, there was no response. He was told to wait about an hour and ended up leaving. Recently got my haircut for the first time here. Tina helped me out and got me in last minute with no appointment. My experience overall was great. She was professional and quick. I get a low taper fade, which is not the easiest haircut to do and she did a great job. She knew exactly what I wanted and made sure I was happy with the length on top taking a little at a time and checking with me. I've paid twice as much for a haircut with less attention to detail so this was a very pleasant surprise. Also, a lot of barbers in the past have been quick with blending the fade and it drives me nuts. I always have to ask them to blend it more, this was not the case with Tina. She made sure it was blended to my satisfaction. Overall 10 out of 10 and I will be coming back. read more

I've recently come back after long while and I was not disappointed. I needed a fresh cut for a wedding in Cancun and Tina delivered! Tina always did a perfect job cutting my hair and she's seen me go through many different hairstyles. She made adjustments at the end when I didn't want my hair a certain way and made the adjustments quick and got my hair the way I wanted to be! I'm confident in all the barbers here because they all do top tier quality in making sure I get what I want for my specific style and they're all such nice people! This is my 1st time in this barbershop. I am searching for the best barber in San Jose, Ca. I may say that this place is on my top 3. I tried checking on Yelp and it showed a 4.3 Vicky is highly recommended by everyone commenting on the review. I decided to walk-in and I was entertained to come in and Vicky was available. The barbershop is cool, clean and busy. When I came in every chair was filled in with customers & all barbers were doing haircuts already. I was assigned to Vicky with which I requested as my barber. She is pleasant, nice and feels like she is ready to listen to my hairstyle preference. Overall after my haircut, I am very satisfied and happy with the results. I take my son here and my fiancé comes here as well.. the haircuts are usually good, although Vicki I believe her name is, is usually really touchy feely, my fiancé has left uncomfortable more than twice. We will not be returning for that matter. I am in the hair industry as well but I would never grab my male client and ask him if he works out. It's inappropriate. My husband made an appointment in the morning of a Friday and was able to get an appointment on the same day. My husband showed the stylist some photos of the haircut he was going for. Everything went well until he took out a hair thinning knife (shaving razor), it looked very sharp. But since he used a brand knew blade, he held his breathe and let him do his thing. He did end up liking the haircut he got and thought the employees there were friendly as well. However, later he found some cuts above his ears which was caused by the blade. The cut on his left ear was more obvious, the right side was a tiny spot/cut. This is not acceptable at all, it does not matter how good the hair cut it came out to be. If you cannot avoid cutting customer's skin, you should not be using that blade. I guess he won't be going back again. read more

I always get my hair cut and shave service from VICKY. I highly recommend scheduling an appointment with her (usually it's not long of a wait) and more than worth it. Went here in 2023. Never going back. First of all they did a bad job with my hair and they also ended up cutting my ear. While I was bleeding, the barber had the audacity to insist on getting paid in cash although any self respecting professional would have done this cut for free. My usual barber wasn't available, so I got a haircut here from Andy, based off a referral from a friend. Before he started, I showed him what my usual barber said he does for my haircut. I showed him a few pictures of myself with what I wanted, as well as what I did not want. He proceeded to tell me he only needed a picture and did not need the description my usual barber gave. The haircut came out horrible. He did exactly what I told him I didn't want. I told him I didn't like it and I let him know if he hadn't disregarded what my usual barber had described, there may have been a better result. Conveniently located, great price for the quality, and I haven't had any complaints since I started getting cut here: My last 10 haircuts or so have been by Vicki, and the end result is always exactly what I wanted - even without any sample photos! My first time getting eyebrow details was with her, and she recommended two for the size of my eyebrows. They turned out perfect, and even cooler looking than I expected!
