We called to make an appointment after 6 and were told to come in that same day. The guy took our name down. When we showed up 15 mins. Earlier, the guy took someone else in and we were told to reschedule or wait an hour. How about you stick to the schedule and not just say come on in. It was a very friendly place before I came, I called and asked if they could do designs. They reassured me. Yes, they could. when I got there. The gentleman that worked on my grandson's hair did not know how to do a design and was mumbling. At the end he needed help and the other gentlemantold him it was too wide ,all in all my grandson was very disappointed as he now wants to hide the design it was poorly done uneven too thick. I booked an appointment at Legends barbershop for a haircut and beard trim on a Thursday evening at 7pm Here is a quick review of how things transpired - I enter the shop at 6:55pm only to find 1 person working. No greeting or acknowledgement. I wait patiently for him to finish only to find him prioritizing the walk-in customer over me (despite me telling him clearly that I have an appointment. - Time : 7:30pm.. Luckily the walk-in customer was only getting a beard trim. So I am next. - Now begins the slowest haircut and beard trim in recorded history - 110 mins. The guy (Tall asian dude - I don't know his name, coz he didn't introduce himself) cuts hair as if he is a noob. His hair-cutting seems nervous and forced. Normally haircuts are when you can relax and let the professional take over - but not with this guy. I was constantly nervous that he is going to mess up my hair - Beard service : No straight razor, no shaping - he literally only used a pair of clippers to trim the beard period (something you can easily do at home). Overall experience - Very dis-satisfied. This was hands down the worst haircut and beard service I have every got. Supercuts/GreatClips are definitely better than this establishment. Not sure why this place has 5 stars. I doubt if the folks who have given 5 stars have actually experienced a good hair cut. At $60 - this place is a rip-off and I am definitely not coming back. Mike is a peoples-person no doubt. We had great conversation about life and other topics. I showed him a brief image of the type of cut I wanted and he nailed it with just a simple glimpse. Started coming here because I heard good things and it was close by to where I used to work, now I'm a regular there and I have nothing but good things to say about the barbers here! Mike is my go to guy (and the owner), super down to earth guy who will talk to you about basically anything and everything and do it with a hearty smile. I found this place 15minutes before actually going in. I saw all the positive reviews and say, "Hey, why not!" Big shoutout to Mike! I stumbled upon the shop by accident and walked in asking if they were taking any walk-ins for the day. Mike was very eager to make time for me. As I was getting my haircut he was super nice and very skilled. He made sure he told me what he was going to be cutting, lining up, or fading during the process which was really reassuring and ensured I knew what my end result would be. The barbershop was very clean and gave a very friendly and inviting vibe to it. I highly recommend I this place. They try very hard to accommodate people walking in but also show a lot of care with those who make an appointment! I will definitely be coming back for my next haircut! read more

This by far has been my worst haircut experience for the following facts, I do not recommend them:- 1. Location is extremely shady and close to a noisy road. A sketchy liquor store on the side with a homeless man outside trying to work on the liquor store ATM machine. Utter trash of a location. 2. Pathetic haircut: the guy just took a trimmer and shaved them off!!! No styling, no questions on partition. The guy did not even show me the mirror for back-side at first snd I had to insist. When I saw it, it was messy! So had to ask him to redo. 3. Extremely loud music in the salon, my ears are hurting. 4. They charge $50!!! Holy Cow. I have some of the best haircuts for $20-30 elsewhere. The only reason I tried this place was because it was closer to our new residence in Milpitas. I feel cheated for the pathetic ambiance, loud music and poor haircut. 5. Came in for my Second time for a haircut with Angie today, was scheduled for 12:00 pm. I arrived early around 11:45 am ,came inside to check in with my barber, the other barber Mike knows how to greet people while the one I booked with was dry , I understand it takes time to set up and get things in order but if your just gonna stand and text someone for almost 5 minutes because it's " important text " and not ask your client if they can sit in the chair to begin, Also for the Second Time you dropped your scissors and didn't clean or sanitize them but you continued to use them without doing anything about it , their page says they accept card and cash but when I mentioned that I wanted to pay in card , Angie said they don't take card but a gentleman that was in their while I was waiting paid with card but all of sudden we don't accept card well thanks for the cut Angie read more

Good old Barber shop charm and service. Easy to make appointment and they are very accommodating. They take their time to give you the best cut & style, so be patient and have time at hand if you make an appointment. Having some good sports to watch while getting your cut/beard trimmed is always a plus. I have had both AJ & Matt do my hair at diff times and would highly recommend both. I would never take my son or recommend anyone take their kids here. He cut my sons hair the way he wanted and didn't even go off the picture. And it looks like a hack job. Traveling from out-of-town for work and needed a last minute cut. I called this morning and spoke to the Store owner to set up an appointment. He was very rude on the call. He started talking loudly. I asked him about the appointment and he started arguing with me on the call and kept on saying what do you want ? I asked him why are you behaving like this and instead of apologizing he instead argued with me that I am talking loudly and I am rude...LOL He really needs to learn how to talk to a customer. Nice and clean little shop located in Milpitas that is tough to find, even if you're looking for it. Haircut cost $15, cash only. I came in one Tuesday afternoon as a walk-in due to the high reviews here on Yelp. The place was empty. The owner, Mike, came in behind me. I had passed him on the way in, but thought that he was just some guy sitting outside talking on the phone. He asked me to sign in and told me that three people were ahead of me. That was fine as it seemed that this place got high reviews and I was in need of a cut so I didn't mind waiting. As I waited I browsed his rack of "manly" magazines and observed how he cut the hair of the three people before me. I'd say he's technically competent, but better with clippers than with scissors. Anyways, over an hour later, as he was finishing up with the third person and I was getting ready to go up, he tells me that he has a 4pm and 4:30 appointment so that if I wanted a cut I'd have to wait some more or make an appointment. As if he couldn't have told me earlier that he had more appointments and didn't think he could get to me in time... I was pretty annoyed but as it was already 3:55p i told him I'd try my luck and see if the 4pm appointment showed up. He finished up with the third person and went outside to skateboard around. At 4:05 the 4pm appointment hadn't shown up. 4:10, still nothing. 4:15, still nothing. At this point I'm thinking to myself that any person sensitive to customer service would go ahead and cut my hair, but he kept on skateboarding outside in the parking lot. At 4:20p his 4pm appointment finally arrived. He came in afterwards and told the guy to come on up, not saying a thing to me. I left, not saying a word to him. On a side note, while I was waiting, he was playing "Captain America" on his flat-screen TV. As that movie had only been in theaters something like three weeks and in fact was still playing in theaters at the time, clearly this was an illegal bootleg version. So in addition to not caring about new customers, Mike doesn't care about copyright law or the entertainment industry either. read more

Went here a few times and felt the cuts I received were overall good. Last time I went I was waiting an extra 10 min bc the barber (the only African American one) was watching some game on the live stream and didn't bother to call me for my turn. And once he noticed me during the commercial he just called me up not apologizing. This place only accepts cash which is fine, but after my haircut I only had an extra $10 bill to give for a tip and asked him for change so I can appropriately tip him like I usually do. He gave me a dumb face acting like he didn't have any change at all (and didn't ask his coworkers either) and made me feel really awkward so I was somewhat pressured to give him the $10. I just think that was the last draw and totally unprofessional. So that's the last dollar this place will get from me as long as that guy is cutting hair. I started seeing "A.J" which seemed to know what he was doing the first couple times I saw him. Then.. this happened.. and when I brought it to his attention apparently he couldn't see a difference.. Honestly, I'm not sure what the hype is about this place or why there are that many 5 star ratings. The haircut experience here is pretty weak, nothing too special to be deemed extraordinary. For the price of $30 for a men's haircut, it wasn't the best haircut of my life or anything like that.
