These guys in mid city LA are also quick and their finishing steps are thorough and with the special items I asked for. I don't want a full leather wipe down unless I know the materials used so they didn't when inside the car. They did a nice wipe down of the dash and consoles. The windows popped so clear and clean, and inside and out, they used different cloth so they didn't cross mix outside dirt with inside. I got a few extra items from the C wash and it was worth it. The owner guy I talked to today was Armenian and he was managing the workers and it all looked very smoothly orchestrated and he was great service guy and on the details. Worst car wash ever!!!! Biggest waste of $30 ever spent. I needed to spend an hour cleaning this car after leaving here and it wasn't in bad condition. Outside of car still had streaks everywhere and was not properly washed or dried. The windows were simply wiped, no glass cleaner was used, and they remained extremely dusty and dirty. The inside of the car was barely touched. They didn't wipe the screens, or the doors. They did not vacuum or shake out the mats. Very rushed job. Just wanted to get it done and go on to the next car with minimal effort and work. Horribly disappointed. Won't be back!!! read more

I first found this place via Yelp several years ago, and even though I do not live in the neighborhood, I tend to go to this place. The entrance is located on Venice Blvd., and during my several visits, I have never had to wait very long to get my car washed. There are several pricing options, and I usually go for one of the cheaper tier selections. When I calculate the price plus tip, I find the service cost to be reasonable and the quality of their car washing to be very good. Luckily I came across this Carwash on Yelp and decided to give it a try. From the start the experience was great. I didn't time it but there were a few cars in front of me and it still went pretty fast. The guys here are super nice and you can tell they are hard workers. I could tell my car was in good hands and had no concerns while it was in their care. It came out super clean - inside and out. Plus I've paid way more for hand washes (when I lived in sf) for it to come out this clean. Definitely recommend this spot over any other wash. They offer a $15 wash as well if you're looking for something on a budget. Some machine washes charge that much just for a half-assed wash. Plus they offer waxing services for an additional charge. I visited here in the middle of the week because I had just moved so needed a deeper clean. Their highest tier is listed at $30 with an added fee for SUVs. I have a compact car, but the attendant said I would owe $40. He said it was because my car was extra dirty, but it's hard to tell if it was that or because I was a single female. My car certainly didn't take longer to clean than the other guys who all paid $20-$30 for their job... They did a nice job with the interior and the tires, but they neglected the roof of my car and the front grill area. I saw another customer complaining about that as well. There were also smear marks on all the windows - I think using a better drying towel would have helped a lot with that. The whole experience took an hour from pulling up to the lot to driving away. Wasn't super fun hanging out in the 90 degree heat, albeit they have a shaded seating area. I will likely try other spots before returning - single ladies beware that potential up-charge! read more

The main guy is super chill and did a quick vacuum for me free of charge when I only asked an exterior wash. Went above and beyond for me. I paid $35 for the mid tier wash that includes the outside, vacuuming the inside, etc. They didn't even vacuum the sand out of my trunk... That was literally one of the reasons why I came to the car wash!! I 100% will NOT be coming here again. I've been to Westchester hand wash before and they're really good but the wait is sooo long. The pros: I didn't need an appointment. Just pulled in, told them which type of wash I wanted, and then waited for a half hour. They were quick and nice enough. No smiles but answered questions. There's a waiting area under a pop-up tent and next to a vending machine. Mmm, vanilla air freshener. Armor-All on the interior looks good. The cons: They only accept cash, they left a bunch of swirl marks on my car's surface (you can only see it in certain light, but still), they don't have the option to wax or clay bar your car. Pigeons like to roost on the billboard right next to where the just-washed cars are parked. It's fine if you just want a basic hand wash but if you care about your car's surface, then look elsewhere. I'm just hoping the next place I take it to, a clay bar will smooth out all those swirls. If I just leased a car or drove a car that I didn't care about, this quick wash would fit the bill. read more

I was in dire need of a car wash and I wanted to find a different place that was 1) closer to home and 2) cheaper than my usual spot. I found this place due to the great reviews, plus it was 3 minutes away from home! So, I messaged the business and received a quick response from the owner. I was quoted $20 for car wash + vacuum, which was cheaper than what I'm used to paying. I arrived the next day and was immediately told I would need to pay $30 because my car was very dirty. Yes, I was aware that my car was dirty, but $10 more than what I was quoted was not cool. They did finish within about 15 minutes, which was nice. Upon checking my car at home, I noticed many missed spots and even 6 or 7 green scratches on the passenger side. I was worried that maybe a different car lightly scraped it, so I used my nail to try to scratch off the residue. I noticed that I was able to get all the green marks off , which just showed me that not much force was used when washing my car. Popped in on Sunday after a weekend trip to Big Bear. My car was covered in snow grime and travel dust, and frankly hadn't been washed properly in a few years. I needed an interior detailing desperately and a good exterior wash. And I needed a truly hand-wash- mechanical washes would just take all the snow dirt and grind it into my clear coat, and even a lot of the "100% hand wash" places in LA use a mechanical tunnel. So I was very pleased to find this tiny gem in my neighborhood after driving to a few other places. It was late afternoon and they didn't have the availability to do a full detail, so we made plans to come back the next morning. $180 for interior detail. 2 1/2 hours later, they called me to pick up my Mini and I was so happy to see her looking SLEEK. They did a solid interior detailing and a very good exterior wash. I took the mats out to continue drying at home (which I usually do following a detail). And while there are some hard water stains on one side from my neighbors sprinklers, I think I'd need to spring for the full clay bar wash or commit to a cut and buff to really get my car pristine. I'll certainly be returning to Galaxy and only Galaxy for my future washes. I've tried 5 or 6 different places over the last two years.
