Meatloaf mashed potatoes and veg of the day
    Deborah S.

Server was lovely! She's from Rhode Island .. one thing I really liked about her she knows her menu! We both had meat loaf today's veg which was well prepared not over done good mashed potatoes lots of it too lots of meatloaf diner food served hot with side salad . Had plenty to bring home. Took a dog bag arf.. sweet server wrote which one is mine without asking. She's a keeper. Hostess is a bit rough! But she takes the money and seats people. Lots of different things on the menu. I'm used to downtown Stuart food but we were driving back from west palm thought let's try something different. Wouldn't put this on my regular go to but good for occasional ! Nice to see older ladies serving too

First time I'm unhappy with the waitress that we had on May 13th! Food was good, but not the waitress in anyway shape or form! I guess they are new and haven't been well trained. I guess I'll have to see who's working before we sit and order! Very disappointing after 20 years of eating there!

We had a good lunch here as we stopped to take a needed break while driving north. Found this place on my yelp app and since my husband likes diner food, we made the slight detour. The restaurant is located on the corner end of a strip shopping center. It was fairly busy during lunch hour. But we were greeted on arrival and taken to a booth. The room is decorated nautically with anchors, sail boats, oars, and a lot of blue and white. I'd called it a luncheonette, but it is open past lunch and also offers early dinners. They had a sheet with the daily specials on it. I chose one of the soups of the day -- chicken orzo. The cup was full of orzo pasta and pieces of shredded white meat chicken and carrots in a chicken based broth. My husband decided to have their turkey dinner -- since it was the day before Thanksgiving. It was a large plate with mashed potatoes, turkey slices over some stuffing, and real al dente green beans with a touch of garlic. All covered in brown gravy. They served some jellied cranberry sauce on the side. He enjoyed his meal. I had a turkey sandwich. It came with lettuce on the white bread toast. All sandwiches come with a pickle spear, per the menu. And I requested cranberry sauce and some thousand island dressing, too. My sandwich was okay. I ate half and took half with me. The soup had been filling. It's a good stop if you are passing by the area as it is not far from the interstate. And diners are always a good choice when you're with a number of folks who may all want different things to eat -- from breakfast to lunch.

French toast poached eggs, sausage home fries. It is the "Hungry-man".

Had breakfast, a sampler special - 2 eggs 1 pancake 1 French toast 2 sausage links & coffee included. The eggs - poached soft - excellent, pancake - simply delicious, light and fluffy (I hate heavy and flour tasting) this pancake was fantastic, wonderful tasting, the French toast - Texas type thickness, again simply delicious powdered with confectionary sugar - wonderful. The 2 sausage links - not those wimpy type - these were big, and delicious. Also had some of my wife's home fries - delicious! If anything subpar is the coffee - nothing to write home about- lose the mini - moo type of cream - I like pourable half & half. Maybe get OJ.. overall the breakfast was fantastic! Even with the coffee...definitely worth a good diner breakfast!!!

Stopped in for the Friday specials - burger with steak fries--delicious! My server Donna was such a nice lady, and all the staff were so friendly. Highly recommend!

Had an awesome breakfast here the other day. I'm originally from New York and this definitely gave me Long Island diner vibes. Went with the steak and eggs. Ribeye was nice and tender and the home fries had a beautiful crust on them. Huge portions too. Service was quick and efficient.

In this case, the Key West Diner in Stuart, FL. I originally wanted a simple breakfast of those biscuits that were calling me. I figured I'd accompany my biscuits with an order of scrambled eggs and my usual tea latte. As you would expect by its name, Key West Diner has a nice Key West design and a really nice outdoor dining patio. Inside offered booth and table seating. One suggestion would be for the diner to play Island/boating type music instead of the standard pop channel they had on. This would add to the key West feel. Having said that, let's move on to the dining experience. I don't usually go over what a restaurant offers on their menu since I assume if you're reading this review you are on their site. Suffice to say, their menu is the typical diner menu. Looking over the menu of course I noticed they had no biscuits! So much for satisfying my biscuit yearning. At least they had a Taylor Ham and egg on a hard roll. A breakfast I will always happily choose. So, my biscuit breakfast would have to wait for another day. Next I ordered my Latte tea. You guessed it, no steamed milk. One final request topped it all... the WiFi password. Yep, no WiFi! This is clearly not a killer if you're dining with someone but, it's definitely a negative for anyone dining alone. I haven't seen many places that don't offer WiFi but Key West Diner is obviously one of them. To me, when dining alone, reading on my iPad brings back memories of reading the morning paper while eating breakfast. Or in this case, forcing me to post a review AFTER I leave the location. Enough about what this diner doesn't have, let's move on to what they do offer. First, the service; I was seated quickly by a host and my server arrived soon thereafter. She served me with a smile and brought everything I asked for correctly and efficiently. She did a really nice job of being there when I needed her but not constantly pestering me during my meal. Well done. Now my meal; My Taylor Ham featured two eggs and two thick slices of Taylor Ham. The eggs were made perfectly as requested (Overeasy) and lo and behold, the sandwich was on a Kaiser roll! It's not often you get a Taylor Ham and egg on a Kaiser roll (the correct way to make it) but that's what we had here. Unfortunately, although the Taylor Ham and eggs were spot on,, the roll did not live up to expectations. Sadly it was not crispy on the outside and had more of a white bread consistency. Too bad because I really did appreciate the attempt. My tea was fine (considering the lack of steamed milk) Bottom line; The key I always ask of any place I visit... would I come back? In Key West Diners case, more than likely, no. Not because it's bad, simply because it's nothing special AND it doesn't offer WiFi.

If you're looking for real southern diner food, this is one of the best options in town. It can be busy, and there is sometimes a short wait. They do turn tables pretty fast so don't stress too much! The staff are friendly and the food is comforting. I got a half order of biscuits and gravy and a side of grits. Plenty of food, the grits are creamy and the sausage gravy tastes like home. My sister ordered eggs over easy, which came perfectly cooked and unbroken. She also gets her hash browns with extra onions and raves these are the best caramelized onions in town. As always, I asked for "crispy" home fries and actually received actual "crispy" home fries. That's something that is always promised and seldom provided. My corned beef hash was well made but my fault, I failed to ask for "crispy" and they were as usual a bit undercooked. Unfortunately, they grilled the biscuits which I would have preferred served plain and they had no way to steam my milk for my tea. Now, I must admit that I have ridden past this restaurant many times on my e-bike rides but never thought about trying a Greek restaurant for breakfast. So, this week, I finally gave in and trudged off to give the place a try. The Ambiance: Cute European style restaurant that has a cozy yet chic setting. Bar seating, inside table seating and outside patio seating are all offered. I might mention that my outside table felt sticky. Not sure if this is the type of table or a table that needed to be cleaned. Either way it was an uncomfortable experience. Couldn't slide my dishes and my arm sleeve felt like it was sticking to the table. The Service: Although my server forgot the honey I requested for my tea and instead of inputting the WiFi password in my iPad, as requested, briskly told me the WiFi password (she thought), which it wasn't, the service, other than that, was efficient and provided with a smile. (NOTE: Another server was more than happy to input the password for me without a hesitation). I might also mention that my server served my unusual tea request (which so many servers get wrong) absolutely on the money without hesitation. This may not sound like a big deal but, for me, it most assuredly is. The Food: I ordered the Big Breakfast which consisted of two eggs (I chose over easy), two sausage links, two strips of bacon, I chose a biscuit as my bread offering and those "must have grits. Along with this dish I of course ordered my, always a challenge to get, English Breakfast tea with honey and "steamed" milk. Although as mentioned above, other than the honey, my server did bring my tea WITH steamed milk! Good start! Within a few minutes, my dish arrived. Everything was just as ordered. The over easy eggs were cooked exactly as ordered and the biscuits came WITH extra butter. Unfortunately, the sausage was your little "standard" link sausage, the bacon was on the crisp side and the biscuit was good but a bit gummy. Now on to the big question,, how was those grits. I have to say, all my friends were right. Those grits were by far, the best grits I've ever had. Creamy, but not runny, needing only a dash of salt, they were so good, I took two orders of grits to go. The Bottom Line: My "Customer so what" would I come back?
