The family and I came here for breakfast today and it was great! My husband and I are new to the area and we love to go weekly to diners for breakfast. This one just might be the one we come too. I ordered the gyro omelette and it was so good. The rest of the family had eggs, hash browns etc., and they really enjoyed their meals. I can't wait to comeback and try the lunch menu. read more

We ate here while traveling through the area. The Galaxy Diner is the BEST diner we have ever been to! Great food, great service. My husband had the lunch special, a meatball sub. He said it's the best meatball sub he's ever had. It had homemade marinara, grilled onions and peppers, and FROM SCRATCH potato salad on the side. My omelette was delicious, and the grits were so creamy and delicious. Definitely the comfort food I needed. We loved The Galaxy Diner so much we went back two days later. My husband's crab cake sandwich was very good, and once again the potato salad did not disappoint. We took a piece of chocolate cake to go, and OMG! This cake is the real deal, like your grandma used to make. From scratch, four or more layers (we couldn't tell with all the delicious icing between each layer! Real fudge icing, smooth and creamy that you just can't find anymore. Well, the Galaxy Diner has it! Service is friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this place. read more

Family friendly. Great food great service. They are fast to get to you get your order and get it to the table. Great prices and can get in and out quickly if you are pushed for time at lunch. If not relax and have another cup of coffee and enjoy your meal and company. They rush to serve you but don't rush to get you out. read more

Every time I make my trip from Jupiter to Stuart, usually once a week. My first priority is dinner at the Galaxy Diner, upon my visit I'm never disappointed by their wide selection of Dinner Specials, upon arrival last night, I came across one of my favorites, so I ordered the Shepherds Pie, On receiving my order, the portions were large and once I tasted my meal, I must admit, the best Shepherds Pie I have ever had. And this was just one of a few of their awesome dinner specials. If you haven't tried the Galaxy Diner you are truly missing out on a fabulous restaurant. The atmosphere is awesome, the staff is very professional and friendly and most often the owner/chef will venture out to greet you and make sure you are truly a satisfied customer! I am a senior and eat small now. It would be nice if they offered a " light" menu. 1 egg, 1 slice bacon, 1 slice toast. Or bagel and side of melon or yogurt. Missing out on a large market IMHO. Place often empty early morning. Food is good though. read more

We have eaten here before they have good food and not too long of a wait for a table. Once seated the service is quick and good. I ordered hungry man meal for the kids. They like the pancake, eggs, bacon and French fries. I ordered crepes. If choosing between Cracker Barrel or galaxy diner. This one is much faster, and the food is good. read more

This is a classic diner with a large selection of sandwiches, salads, soups and specials each day/night. If you want breakfast, you can order it all day long. My husband ordered the grouper Reuben sandwich with fries and I ordered the Greek salad with spinach pie. My husband enjoyed his meal but would have rather had the grouper grilled. I absolutely loved my spinach pie. It was a huge portion and it tasted great! I wish we could have tried dessert because they looked delicious. Great place and friendly too. read more

I generally like them, especially Galaxy 2, but today made me laugh. I ordered a Turkey Reuben and asked if I could have extra pickles and the server said no and walked away. I thought she was joking and then she came back and said pickles aren't free after the first one so I paid $.75 to get the extra pickles. She gave me a disapproving look and made a show out of delivering the pickles on a separate plate before the sandwich. It's a pickle, calm down, I didn't realize I violated protocol. Great comfort food! Delicious Greek selections as well. I love this restaurant, as it is conveniently located in Publix shopping center and close to I 95. Everything I order on the menu has been delicious!!! Greek salad, soups, sandwiches! The potato salad is to die for. Don't get me started on the deserts because they are decadent! Here I have been living in Stuart less than 3 miles away and never knew about the place. Walked by it but was never was heads up and thought it was part of the Chinese takeout next to it. Well finally ok head out of my ... and said wow a new diner. I'll have to try it out. Needless to say it's the best diner in the area. I have been to them all around and I have to say Galaxy is pretty dang good. The food, selection, its clean and the staff is friendly. Nice local spot not too far off the interstate. It's located in a Publix plaza so there is plenty of parking as well. We stopped for lunch on a Friday afternoon and the place was busy. Our waitress was friendly and provided prompt service. The menu has a wide variety of choices and it would be easy for everyone in a group to find something they like. My husband had the fish and chips. He said they were tasty and he enjoyed the crisp batter, not soggy! I had a chef salad and I was very pleased. I saw the ladies behind me had ordered this as well. We love mom and pop places, and this place is it! Went here for breakfast. Lots of locals so always a good sign! Hubby and I had omelettes (mixed grill & gyro, respectively). Son had their French toast with a side of sausage patties. All were very good! Be sure to ask for a side of tzatziki sauce on the side if your order the gyro omelette--yum! Our server, Sheila, was very nice and took care of us. She had a face shield on and it was nice to see a smile for once. One of the other waitresses came around a few times making sure our coffee was always full. We'd definitely come back if we're ever in the area again. read more

Nice diner. Had the turkey dinner. It came with soup or salad. I had the salad with the house dressing which was very tasty. Large portion of sliced turkey breast white meat atop a mound of bread stuffing. The creamy cauliflower was delicious and the mashed potatoes were real. The turkey gravy was creamy smooth and complimented the large plate of food. The meal came with a beverage. I had coffee which was full bodied and flavorful. Excellent value for $10.95. Early bird specials are available till 5pm. Well worth the visit. Only shortcoming on the meal...the stuffing was kind of bland. It would have been better if it had some sautéed celery and onions in it as well as a little seasoning like sage to give it some depth. I've been here a handful of times, the food is ok, nothing special. The last time I ate here with my family, my 3 year old son points to the floor under our table and there's something sticky ALL OVER THE FLOOR and partially on the seat we were sitting on... BLOOD, it was blood. I have no idea how long it had been there or who had hemorrhaged all over our booth, but the waitress seemed just as shocked as we were (like how did you not notice someone possibly missing an appendage, bc based on the amount of blood it would've been hard to miss). Food is great, we are here for breakfast once a week or so. Unfortunately the servers leave a lot to be desired. There are 2 of them that are just terrible. Wrong food brought and then argue with you. As I sit here with French toast instead of a turkey wrap and no soup I ordered the waitress told me "I write every order so don't tell me it's wrong" just a shame that shitty servers can cost a great place customers. We have decided to steal this restaurant and take it back to Virginia! It was that good. We stopped by for lunch, using the Yelp app on our way to Fort Lauderdale. I had the grouper ruebin sandwich that was great. I actually got it without the bun, but I could not imagine how much larger it could have been. My mother had the gyro and was very happy. My husband had fish and chips with a side of cole slaw that was perfectly made. We didn't get desert, but their cakes displayed looked especially yummy. This place was fantastic. read more

We order takeout from here all the time and it is usually very good. Tonight we ordered salads and they were inedible. The vegetables were soggy and wilted and the meat was stale and chewy. I called the restaurant to complain and I was told that they have been getting a lot of complaints and they think people are taking advantage of them. If my food is bad, I need to bring it in and show it to them and then I might get a credit. They were basically calling me a liar! They have just lost a very good customer. read more

This location has been in Stuart for many years. People come here for the Great Value generous portions great food and great service. Now I know the owners have opened the same diner called the Galaxy 2 in Port St Lucie. You cannot have a bad choice at either location the food is great, generous portions, great prices, and great service. Galaxy has a varied menu and good prices, but my opinion is that they should stick to one thing or two things and do it the best they can. They serve breakfast all day, but you can also get: pasta, sandwiches, Greek food, seafood dishes?, salads. The menu is such a wide variety of things that it's hard to choose any one thing. I went with the Havana steak special: some blackened steak strips (can't remember the cut of meat that it was from) over seasoned rice with black beans and plantains. The steak was dry and tough, the rice overcooked, the beans tasted like they were right out of a can, and the plantains were just meh. There is a really good Cuban restaurant locally that does this right. Two others in my party each got the gyro. It was OK...but, again, there is a Greek restaurant locally that do these a lot better. Greek salad was ok, just too much dressing. The other person in our party got a western omelette. It was good too...but, as before, there is a local breakfast place which has an omelette that would blow Galaxy's right out of the water. Service was good, prices were good, but really the food was just OK. Again, i think they should pare down the menu and focus on being more of just an American-type diner: breakfast, sandwiches, melts, etc. I didn't leave satisfied with my meal and I doubt I will go back. read more

If I could give it Zero stars I would. I literally joined yelp to try to help people from wasting money and sacrificing service. It's expensive relatively speaking. This place is awful. The incompetence is astounding. Forget about take out unless you take everything out one a time to ensure you get what you paid for. There are no other diners in this area so they're the only game in town. I normally would tip $5 bucks for take out hoping it would help. No such luck. Cracker Barrel is a much better option with pricing and all around service. read more

Ordered a pan of Spinach Pie, a pan of Baklava and Grape Leaves for a friend's celebration of life. Galaxy did a great job in preparing the pans of food to go on time . The Spanakopita spinach pie and Baklava were excellent as were the stuffed Grape Leaves. This food served over 20 people and everyone was very pleased with the Greek food from Galaxy Diner. Will be back to dine in the restaurant, especially for the Greek food. Thank you Galaxy for providing good food for a family that was reflecting back on all of the great Greek food their mother had prepared. A fitting celebration of life, and you were part of it.
