I come here regularly for my pedicures and I am always very happy! Recently, for my daughter's 8th birthday party, I was trying to figure out a spa day for her and a few friends. When I couldn't find someone to bring the spa to us, I decided to make it happen myself! So we did a traveling spa day! We started out at the kids cuts place near Galaxy to get their hair braided then walked a few doors down Galaxy Nails and the girls had the best time getting pedicures and their nails done! They got simpler "little girl" services but were treated like best customers! All of the techs were so nice and chatty with the girls. The girls LOVED it had the best time! I made an appointment so they knew we were coming. The only thing I would recommend for next time is calling the day of to confirm the appointment so they would be ready for us and our little crowd. read more

I had a pedicure about 3-4 weeks ago. I originally got a hot pink really cute color. They did not paint my whole big toe nail. the polish was gel but it seamed thicker in places. And here is why I decided to give a bad review the pink nail polish faded it turned into a peachish weird color looks nothing like the pink I had originally got. Came in for an acrylic removal and gel- had my set on for about two months- long nails underneath. Told them I wanted to keep the length and have almond shape nails. First guy was making my nails crooked and uneven and he attempted to fix. (I did not ask, but) Another lady was brought over to "finish the shape" and fixed one hand while the other hands nails were shorter. He sat right back down and ruined them yet again by using a drill on the edge of the nail after I pointed out they were uneven from switching between people. (which you're not supposed to do- causes chipping) He gets the attention of someone doing nails beside him. At this point, I'm not paying for these, not that I said that, I waited until she made an unprofessional excuse cutting me off in conversation like I didn't know what I was talking about. Walked out of the salon- if you're looking for galaxy nails- their heads are so far up their asses they are in space! You're in luck! read more

I had an appointment at 4. they didnt get me from the front to do my nails for 50 mins. they charged me 160 dollars for a fill with only 1 design on each hand. they kept cutting me with the drill and then two of my nails broke the next morning. the designs and nail quality were pretty good, but the customer service was horrible read more

They have prices listed but when you go to pay they up charge you. The technicians can barely do basic designs and make it your fault they can't figure it out. read more

My daughter & I got pedicures! Mine was $30 plus tip and my 8 year old was $18 plus tip. They got us in and out with enough time to be pampered but not too slow. Cleanliness seems like a priority which is a big one for me. I wish their big screen showed all their offerings (only shows some) but check out the laminated "menu" for pricing and full offerings. I like that they didn't try to push me to do a bunch of extras like gel or flowers or deluxe packages or tell me that I need a wax job HA! I always find that annoying when others do that so I appreciated that they just let me relax. Will be back! read more

I wish I could rate this nail shop 0 stars. Worst experience at this shop. Had a pedicure appt at 5pm came in 8 mins early just in case.... I wasn't able to sit down and get my pedicure till 6pm waited a whole hr to be seated. Then they had me waiting with my feet in the tub of water for 24 mins literally... my feet was so pruned that when the lady went to scrub the dry skin off my feet she cut my feet open. I was bleeding all over the place. I didn't enjoy my pedicure at all: I told her I didn't want her to finish my feet I was done. She still charged me 40 dollars. Mind you all she did was clip my nails, and clean my cuticles... nothing else They was so busy that they was all over the place very disappointed in the service I've never been cut in my life while getting a pedicure read more

I walk into the salon and I get the biggest and I sat down in the chair and he was charging me for a bunch of random stuff my nails aren't even even and when I tried to move the pillow under my elbows, he yelled at me to stop moving then, when he was drilling my nail, it felt like he was drilling my nail off the nails look like they're sticking up towards the sky he drilled my skin and now they're bleeding when he put the cuticle oil on he put it on my knuckles, not my cuticles. Worst customer service experience I've ever had. Left crying the salon. The guy who sat me down was rushing me when I was just trying to decide what I wanted done. I asked him if he was short for time and he said no. He rushed me to start taking off my nails, chopped then to start taking off the acrylic and then stopped at the worst time and got up to leave because I was asking him to do it softer. He was tugging at my nails and I told him it kind of hurt and he got mad and left! I've been to hundreds of salons and no ones ever been mad because I asked them to be gentler. He left them looking horrible. And since most nail salons aren't taking in new customers after 6:30-7:00pm I'm stuck with these horrible looking nails until tomorrow morning. This review is for a pedicure only. I've been a regular at their Murray location for a few years now and prefer that location over all nail shops I've been to for pedicures. I wasn't hesitant at all to try this location due to me knowing they have the same owners (also confirmed with my nail tech at the time). Appointments were also made a couple days prior so that our party of 4 could get in together. This was our first time to this location as we've all been to the other and love it. It was also a Friday and busy like any nail salon on the weekend. Slightly felt as if we were inconvenient since 2 of us showed up before our scheduled time (willing to wait until our scheduled time of course) and the other 2 showed up 1 - on time and 1 - 15 mins later. I wanted to love my pedi. I really did. I got the deluxe pedicure which is what I normally get. Nail cleaning was okay, leg/foot scrub and massage was nice as was the paraffin wax, the cleaning of the bottom of my feet was mediocre at best. It was almost as if he didn't want to do this part but its literally the reason I get the deluxe. I asked if he could scrub more on my heels but I don't think he heard me and I wasn't trying to yell as it wasn't that busy where I felt I had to. He wasn't talkative - asked me the regular nail salon questions before starting and answering a coworker. Painting was okay, wasn't perfect but unless you're looking insanely close at my toes, you wouldn't notice that it wasn't smooth. Salon was clean and the natural light coming in from outside was nice. I would come again and try another tech if I was in the area. The vibe was nice. I just think it was mainly my tech. read more

After Father's Day brunch my sister and I decided on the last minute pedi. I called galaxy bc it's close to our parents house. We went in earlier for our 2:30 appt to pick colors since both of us can't ever make up our minds with colors. We were greeted quickly and asked to wash our hands first and make sure to wear our mask. Very pleasant Clara worked on me and a nice young man worked on my sister. Both were very pleasant and worked efficiently and doing good job on our toes. I then decided to add shallec on my fingers and Clara worked on me till after closing time. We were both happy with our pedi and mani. We enjoyed the clean environment and bright interior. We will be back next time I'm back in town. read more

Got a pink and white set, with marbling on the ring fingers and a glittery top coat. The shape is immaculate and the craftsmanship is unmatched. During my trip to Utah, I Yelped and stumbled across this nail salon. Due to the other 5 star reviews, my sister and I decided to drop in for pedis and last minute manis. The salon is super clean, modern and has a lovely color scheme to it (I'm bias because I'm a sucka for purple). My understanding is this is their third salon. In addition to my nail pics, I'm always on the lookout for unusual but awesome things - check out the pictured PVC ventilation pipe (not sure what to call it). It's a very innovative idea. Although made of PVC, it gives a modern and urban feel to this salon. Additionally, the fingertip clips! I had no idea these little things existed. It made me feel like Edward Scissor Hands for a few minutes, but the efficiency of these clips were rad!! I'd say it saved a good 2 extra minutes and the mess from the usual foil application at most salons. Now on to what makes me want to come back -- the customer service. Nan got jokes for days, Kathy knows her craft, and Claire definitely has this energy about her that gives a cohesive friendly feel as they work as a team. Thanks for the fun experience, guys!!! I feel like I cheated on my regular nail tech back in CA (sorry Ken), but I peeled my gel polish off while peeling potatoes for Thanksgiving dinner! Today I got my first pedi in almost 15 years, cause the last one was so bad, and it was absolutely amasing. I'm making this a monthly trip/vacation for all my paws. Heard good things about this place and drive down. Such a huge disappointment!!! Got a pedicure and had Ly, he rushed through everything. Tried cooling down my wax and it was literally hard before he put it on my feet. Then he was sooo lazy with the painting!! Didn't even cover all of my nail. I said something to him and he said your mail is too small and the brush is big!? Like what!? I told him I've never had this issue and he did nothing to try and fix it. He just didn't want to have to go in and clean up with a fine brush after. SMH. Then I decided to get a gel manicure instead of regular. Bad choice! First he argued with me when he did the first one and I said it was too blue. Rushed through it came out with thick ass nail polish on my nails, interested too see how long this last. Didn't prep my nails cleaning them off before either. Got it on the sides sticking to my skin. Then as soon as he was done he stood up and said to people who walked in waiting who needs a manicure. After my last experience, I was contacted by the owner and he was very kind and offered me to go back in to do my nails and have them the way I wanted. I was able to see Clara and she did an AMAZING job! She went out of her way to make sure that my experience was nothing short of perfect. You can tell she really takes her time to perfect your nails and is very gentle and kind. I was definitely upset with my last visit, but Clara made up for that experience and left me really satisfied with my nails. They definitely look 100% better than when Annie did them. If you're looking to get them done, I would recommend this location but with CLARA! I'm in love with my nails now. Thank you to Jeff, the owner, for being so kind. Upon walking into Galaxy Nails there were 3 employees sitting in the pedicure chairs at the front of the store on their phones. One yelled across the room and said "what do you want" I asked for a full set of tips. A man of a more mature age told me to sit down and pick a color. I told him I did not want him to use the drill as my nails were paper thin. He insisted that it wouldn't harm my nails. I know that that this is not true as I am a licensed cosmetologist. He didn't know enough English to understand me. And acted like he didn't care. I should have left then, reluctantly I let him proceed. He wasn't paying attention to what he was doing. He glued my nails on crooked and used dip instead of acrylic because I didn't like how thick the buildup is. I asked him to shape my nails so they looked natural and rounded. About 3/4 of the way of him filing them they looked horrid. I finally just asked him to stop. He still charged me $50. Worst experience at a nail salon. I do not recommend this place. Unprofessional, uncaring, dirty salon. I wonder if this man actually has his license...if he does, it should be revoked. read more
