My mom and I have been regular customers of Cindy for years and we are so excited that she now has her own place! I visited C1 Nails & Spa this weekend for the first time and I was very impressed with the aesthetic of the salon itself -- it really looks like a place you can spend a lot of time in and relax! Cindy always has the best color selections, but now there are so many choices! It took me about 10 minutes to pick the right shade of purple because I just couldn't decide. I will never go anywhere else because Cindy has the best technique for anyone who loves the look of gel nails, but wants their manicure to last for more than two weeks. I have been getting a natural acrylic manicure done once a month for the past six years because it's the best quality. When you just get a gel manicure, the polish peels off within two weeks. However, when Cindy uses the acrylic powder on your natural nail with a gel polish, your manicure will last for an entire month and look flawless the entire time! It would actually last much longer, but I choose to come in once a month because my nails grow so fast. What I also love about this method is that my nails never chip and they are incredibly strong. I highly recommend people come and visit C1 Nails & Spa. Cindy knows this business very well, does the best job, and has the greatest customer service. It's also incredibly close to Cal State Fullerton so students can come get a quick, affordable manicure or pedicure close to campus. The salon also has great hours that will work with anyone's schedule. Again, I cannot recommend C1 Nails & Spa more. I make a point to make my monthly appointments with Cindy in Fullerton because she is the absolute best! read more

This place is awful. It's cheap but they do not properly clean their tools, are rude, and unethical. The place cut me three times while getting a set put on. My finger got an infection and they refused to give me my money back. When I demanded a refund she cut my remaining nails off with a tool, I posted a picture of what they looked like afterwords. I could have cut myself with the sharp acrylic cut unevenly. I had to pay another place to take off my nails. I will be calling the board of cosmetology on this place. Went into this shop last week for a gel mani, a pedicure, and a Brazilian wax. I am so disappointed with the results. The lady that did my wax was very thorough, but a few hours later, my skin was peeling and flaking off. No burns, no pain, but it was awful and really uncomfortable. The same lady did my pedicure and I will say that's the only thing I was satisfied with. My gel manicure was awful. I've very particular about my nails and spend good money to keep them nice. I went here because it was close to where I was and I didn't have time to go to my usual place. My nails ended up being completely uneven and the gel was really bubbly and you could see dents in my nails. I asked for them to be round and they came out really rough on all edges. I asked her 3 times to fix it and she kept trying, but only made them worse. The color was cool, something I hadn't seen before, but they started chipping 2 days later. During my manicure, she had 3 customers walk in and ask how long... she told them all 20 minutes. The one girl said okay, she was going to go next door for food and would come back. When she came back, she was given another 30 minute quote time. read more

I don't get my nails done that often, but was looking to have a quick walk-in done during my lunch break. I'd been trying to call in all morning to try and set up a specific appointment, but no one was answering their phone. I decided to just head over, instead. I walked in to a typical scene, a few people in the reception area (a few dogs, too) and three people on staff. Most of the people that were there appeared to be friends of the staff or of other clients. Two of the staff were already busy helping people already, that's fine, I wouldn't expect them to drop what they're doing to come and talk to me, but the third one was just standing around and chatting with people. It took him nearly 5 minutes just to stop talking with the people there and greet me by the door. I asked if they had any time to accommodate a walk-in. I was asked to wait a minute and the guy went to go talk with the two staff members. One said she could fit me in if I came back in an hour, and I said I only had my lunch break, so I couldn't come back an hour later. Rather than offering that I come in after work, he walked off to talk in detail with the gal working in the back. He was gone almost 5 more minutes, just to ask the gal if she could take me now. While he seemed to get his answer, instead of coming back to tell me (the answer was no), he proceeded to clean and set up a chair for one of the waiting customers before coming back to the front to talk to me. He said no one was available to take me now, could I come back? I said I'd get off work at 5 and could come back then, would he set up an appointment for me? I'd already been waiting in their reception area 10+ minutes, waiting for some sort of reply. I wasn't going to come and wait all evening just to get my nails done. He said I wouldn't need an appointment later, not to worry, and then made dismissive shooing motions toward the door. I suppose he was trying to be casual about the whole thing, but it really just came off as disorganized and uninterested in my business. I wish I could have rated their service. The place was nicely decorated, but I'd have rather gotten the service I needed and headed out, and not have had the 10+ minutes of free time to stand around and observe their decorations, while waiting for a simple yes or no. read more

I should have read Matty's review before going here. I basically had the same experience. My toe nails were cut uneven and were jagged. She didn't even ask how I like my toe tails and cut them strait across, which is not how like them. So I basically had to take the file from her and re-file my nails to fix them. Also I had to have her redo my cuticle's because she hardly removed anything. The water was also cold and she told me it's cold because it's morning. I'm glad I did bring my own nail polish because there was not much of a selection. The only thing I could say was good about this place is that they had nice massage pedicure chairs. read more

I needed to get my nails done for my friend's wedding, and I stumbled upon this place using Yelp. When I put their address into my gps, I couldn't find it, so be wary of that! The interior of this place is very clean and nice, like a spa. I was tended to right away, and my manicurist helped me pick out the colors I wanted. They also offered me a cold beverage and snacks, which I thought was a nice gesture. I got a gel manicure (they use gelish) for $20. I'm originally from NY, so $20 is a steal! They had a great assortment of gel colors to choose from and my manicurist did a very meticulous job on my nails. They do have 2 dogs (I think poodles?) running wild in the store, which took away a bit from my zen experience, so just a heads up in case you are allergic! read more

The first time I came to the salon I was very happy with my service, this time around not so much. They charge you to remove gel even if you are getting another gel manicure. Charges $10 for chrome powder but don't know how to apply it my pedicure with glitter polish looks better. The ladies here are usually very nice, the first girl who I think is the manager was especially helpful in finding a matching polish for my pedicure. She also did a nice job doing my brows. The place is decorated very nicely and they offered me a beverage. This place is walking distance from my school. My friend recommended Legacy Nails to me and her nails looked amazing so I thought I'd try it out. She recommended I ask for Chris because he's the one who does her nails. Chris is very talented and professional! He can do pretty much any nail design or decal you want. I get acrylics and symmetry & shape are very important to me & Chris nails it every time. I love how creative he is & how he always wants to make a creation his own. He also mentioned if anything were to happen within the first week or so of getting them done, you can come back & they will fix them for free. Customer service is great! I went in on a Monday, and there was no other clients in the salon, just one other lady getting her toes done. So I walk in and ask if I can get a red French tip nail. No one seemed really interested to do my nails and I didn't really feel welcome at all. The guy who did my nails was very rough and made my nail bleed, and the nails that he was using were the clear kind, but they were very flimsy and he ended up actually ripping one off because it wasn't on good enough and had to redo it. Once he was done with the red tip, you can literally see my real nail through the clear coat because he didn't put any base color on at all before the red. I was so embarrassed that I went home and just ended up painting over the whole nail with my own red polish. 0/10 would not recommend. read more

this is now my go-to nail place! and its perfect since its walking distance from my apartment. everyone is so nice and accommodating. my ring finger started to feel weird after putting on the acrylic primer, but they definitely tried any way they can to relieve it (pain goes away over time and its due to the customers skin sensitivity). i showed Jade (i believe) what i wanted and it came out amazing! she constantly double checked if any of the nails were uneven. the guy who did my toes (didn't catch his name) was so nice too! he made sure that the pressure of his massage was okay with me. the managers always checked up on me seeing if i needed anything/if i was alright. thank you again! im obsessed with my nails! read more

I wish I would've asked for the names of the technicians that helped me. The deluxe pedicure was great. She did a very thorough job, I appreciate her attentiveness. The manicure was so-so. Another woman helped me and cut the cuticle deep, pushed the dead skin she just cut off into the cut then cleaned it lightly with alcohol. I bled enough to drip and instead of asking me to wash my hands, she proceeded with the manicure and painted some of my blood on. So what I'm curious about is, how many times have they before and aren't proactive about ensuring their customers safety by minimizing contamination. I would suggest to them to get some training in blood borne pathogens and exposure prevention. read more

Worst waxing of my LIFE!!!!! Started off good with a cotton ball with baby powder wipe down but then she jump straight into waxing the underside of my eyebrows, which seemed normal but was all downhill after this point. Once I felt her spread the wax across I know it was way too hot and it felt like she was trying to rip my face off with every pull, along with some of my actual hair from my head. When I had her do my lip she used even hotter wax! Right at the top... like she was trying to burn my Hilter mustache off with a very liberal amount of wax. I would understand if she had done that in corners, where my hair is the thick but no it was done right under my nose twice! Middle and to the left then middle again to the right. Finally come the clean up.... no trim just straight tweezing that was all. No wipe down or attempt to remove the hair she tweezed off. Total was $13, $7 for my eyebrows as advertised and $6 for my lip. You get what you pay for -.- Never again, will I return. read more

I just walked in and asked if they accepted walk ins and if so how long was the wait (I thought they would either say appointments only or it would be a long wait) , but no they took me in right away for a mani and pedi .
