    Hubby getting his geek on!

Hubby happy when getting his geek on here and always returns with a bag of goods. Large inventory and if you can't decide what to buy your personal nerd, gift cards always fit! Staff is knowledgeable and current releases are stocked and ready for purchase on "the day." Parking lot can be tight, but there's also street parking not too far away. Cheers! CC

Galaxy of Comics is a cool comic books, toys, manga, Funko Pops, and everything pop culture one-stop shop in Van Nuys, California! The staff are very welcoming and definitely treat their customer as VIPs. From browsing the store (where they will assist you with their superb pop culture knowledge), playing their cool coin-op arcade games, and giving excellent deals with their wide array of comic books. The best part of the store is their Comic Book Back Issue shelf, wonderfully arranged alphabetically where you can easily navigate thousands of comic books with ease (make sure to pull the drawers, the fun of navigating still expands within it!). Overall Galaxy if Comics is a highly recommended Comic Book Store to Shop! Visit, Shop, and See For Yourself! Enjoy Shopping!

You will not touch his The Mandalorian collection. Seriously, don't touch his stuff.

Do you like comic books, nerd culture, and high fives? (Well, no high fives during Covid... but the staff seems like they're down for a good, old fashioned, two person hand clap!) As a female, going into a shop that you've never been to can be awkward and/or frustrating. The stigma that females don't know anything about comics is real, and I've experienced it at several stores in LA, despite collecting comics since I was a kid. Not here! I was immediately greeted and helped right away. Not only that, but I was given a great suggestion on a new comic that I may like based on my taste. Several, actually. Both staff members that I spoke with went above and beyond with kindness and great customer service. They're so party! Oh, and they have cats that add to the ambiance. 5 stars. A good time was had by all! I will definitely be back!

Went in for Pokemon singles. They have a system where you search cards on a tablet that has pricing…read moreand condition. They were adamant that you use the system to even take a look at cards. There were a couple employees available and I asked to see a couple cards but they insisted I type it into the system, select all the cards I'm interested in, then select check out, and THEN an employee would gather the cards for me to view. The first couple of cards I tried to type in were not found in the system but were in the display case. The employee suggested I type the card number (e.g. 2/108) and that did not work either. Finally I found a card I liked in the system but when I looked up that particular card, it appeared to have 2 versions, both near mint but different prices. When asked about the difference in prices, the person behind the counter took 10 minutes to research the cards and change the prices to even higher than originally listed - stating there was only 1 version of the card and they were mislabeled in the system. At this point, he finally showed me the cards and they were objectively not near mint. I wanted to get a closer look to see how played they were but they would not let me see the card outside the sleeve even when I requested that they take it out themselves if they were scared I would damage the card. He then again took the time to inspect the cards himself and correct the listed condition of the cards in their system while he had me wait. I asked if they would honor the original listed price from when I walked in but they said no. With that, and my not being able to make my own, closer inspection on the condition, I ended up not buying anything since I had no baseline to go off to see if it was worth buying for myself. Even without making a purchase, it was an awkward, uncomfortable shopping experience. The sealed product was comparatively much higher than the current market prices. There is a decent selection of singles but their tablet system was misleading and inconsistent. The selections were not good enough to entice me to come back. Be careful in your own price checking when coming to this place.

They have weekly releases on one side of the wall and back issues in boxes that are labeled and very organized. Like most places, they offer pre-orders for releases the following week with a 10% discount but I feel like their process is more convenient and personable as you can just message them through IG to put holds. Plus, they offer free bags & boards! The staff is also super helpful making the whole pre-order/hold process a breeze. My favorite part is going through their online backstock. I love how they keep their site updated so it saves me a lot of time having to sift through boxes. They carry the staples but I appreciate how they also have less popular titles. Even if you're not a fan of comic books, I'd still recommend dropping in to check out their other stuff.

Definitely a nice unique spot in the Northridge mall and I hope more people check it out and keep this mall from becoming the promenade mall or the other defunct malls over the years. The staff is beyond friendly and, even though this location is small, it has a fantastic array of comics and other collectables. Even with my pull list at their other location, I always find something I have to pick up on my quick visit. They also have fantastic signings here throughout the year so there's a good chance that you can meet either one of your favorite writers or be introduced to your next obsession. My only complaint isn't even their fault & it's the parking. Like most of this area of NoHo, it's all limited street parking with meters or you're going to have to cross your fingers that you can find something in the residential streets in the area. But honestly, it's worth it. If you live in the area and are looking for your new favorite neighborhood shop, this is it.

This is difficult for me. I have been a customer for the past 3 years. Since I moved to LA…read more Everyone I've met there that works there is the best. From Jun to their former manager Zachary to every single employee there. They were so nice to my wife when she was picking up my comic books while I had severely broken my finger. So, the issue. I'll start with the 30 year anniversary contest or whatever that was, of which I won. I was the "Most Valuable Customer", meaning I spent the most in a month long period basically. I won 30% off of any 1 item in the store for a year each month. I used that discount on more expensive items. I even talked to some of the staff about being excited to afford some of the more exciting items. Remember, this is 12 things in a calendar year. I used the discount on Omnibuses, Statues, that sort. One of the more exciting things I used the discount on was the first appearance of Big Barda. The owner's manager at the time reached out to ownership to confirm that he could sell me this comic book which is in a glass case behind lock and key. The owner confirmed that it was 30% off of everything that was in the store. In the store being the conceit. I actually used their website to order a $100 Batman hush figurine. I was told later that we won't be able to honor the 30% off on items ordered to the store. Which I agreed, made total sense. I then used the discount on a graded, signed Jim Lee Hush 2 comic. Shortly thereafter, I was told that the discount did not apply to items in the glass case. Understood, maybe there was some miscommunication. So I turned back to statues, artwork, and cool older comics up toward their like backlog section of the store. I used the discount on the Wolverine 1-5 collection they were selling. This was the original Wolverine comic book. I even bought one of their orange display cases, knowing it would look really awesome there. After this, I tried to purchase another book from that section but I was told that those were no longer a part of the 30% off. Now it was books and weeklies. Okay, so at this point it was near the end of the yearlong 30% off and like whatever. Owner is being weird for some reason, I'll just back off. It's no big deal. More recently, the store has been having a lot of turnover. Which sucks for them, but also isn't that somewhat on the person who hired this new manager. While they were there I had used the website--mind you -- like I had for the past 2 years+ since their new system had been created. During this time numerous comic books that I had ordered on the website just weren't in my pull list come wednesday, which was mostly around when I broke my finger in January It happened again. And again. And again. I was getting every single book I had ordered on the website in the past. The books I ordered, if I didn't receive them on the week I ordered them, they often times would never come. Early on in the process, their former manager showed me how to order on the website. Make sure orders were in on Friday to get them on Wednesday, this became difficult when I broke my finger, but I did my best. Now a few weeks ago, the owner was there and I politely asked when the books I ordered a month+ ago might be coming in. He then blamed me "You're always the last one to make an order, so if its a variant it's not gonna be easy." Okay. Fair enough. He then said he'd ordered them, they never showed up and the new manager he hired was kind enough to track them down and get me a copy. He fired that guy. For the 2nd time in a month he complained to me that I don't get my orders in on time. Even though I'd become more strict about Friday orders. He said I needed to use their Pre-order tab to ensure that I get a copy because "if 4 people order a specific book and I only have 3 then you won't get one" I have 2 kids and it's really hard to be checking the website all the time. Doing it on Fridays had always worked with my schedule So their website is not a preorder website, it sounds like your reserving books. Which if that's the case, then just change the verbiage on your website. I don't think that's the issue. The owner is either a rude, weird guy or he lies. He put me through the runaround during the 30% off thing and then he gaslit me into thinking Id done something wrong in their system. Which if it was the case, why not just tell me from the beginning. Why keep telling me the books were coming when they never were. It seems like the owner is incapable of taking any responsibility and just wants to pass blame onto whomever will take it from him. I recommend going to this store when he is not there. Because everyone is awesome and he needs to take a long look in the mirror because he is so clearly to blame for their recent troubles. I will not be returning to Collectors Paradise NoHo. I'll miss you guys, but I don't deserve to be treated like an idiot.

From the moment I walked in, Sunny and her mom Miriam made me feel like I'd stepped into something out of a Hallmark movie. The shop is warm, thoughtfully curated, and radiates the kind of charm that's hard to fake. The front of the store is a cozy mix of beautifully displayed teacups, candles, face oils, and other small-business treasures -- eclectic in the best way. As you move through, you'll find not just books, but stories waiting to be discovered, each one handpicked by Sunny with clear attention and care. If she doesn't have what you're looking for, she'll gladly order it and get it to you quickly -- that kind of service is rare. It's also not your average flower shop. Their dried floral arrangements are lovely, but it's Miriam's custom designs that really shine. She has a natural talent for combining color, texture, and mood -- it's like she's creating bouquets with soul. While I haven't yet had the chance to attend one of Sunny's in-store events, I've talked with her about some of the gatherings she puts together -- and it's clear how much heart and thought goes into every single one. She works hard to bring in respected authors and local artists that her customers will connect with, and she's constantly brainstorming new ways to make the shop a meaningful space for the community. It's that kind of intention and passion that sets this place apart. Since that first visit, Sunny's has become one of my regular stops -- a place that feels like home. Every customer is greeted like a friend, and it always amazes me how many names and faces Sunny and Miriam remember. It's more than a bookshop -- it's a place built with love, care, and a true sense of community.
