We had our engagement shoot with him and unfortunately when we received the proofs the quality, and style of the photos were not to our satisfaction, different from what appeared online in his portfolio. When I notified him that our photos looked photoshopped, much too saturated and overly edited to our liking, he did not make the effort to correct the editing but rather he took large offense to my comments and reacted completely unprofessionally. He advised me our photos had to be adjusted due to the time of day we took our photos, which was noon, in Nov. in southern California, which by the way we found out is the worst time to take photos when looking for natural lighting. This is something we found out after the fact, you would think he would have recommended a better time of day to take photos? We paid him a non-refundable retainer, to receive two engagement photos that were to our liking. Of course we pulled out of the contact because there was no way I would take the chance to be that disappointed with our wedding photos. He calls himself an artist, and that may be true but a professional business man he is far from. When I followed up on our engagement photos his response was short and rude. He then found it necessary to email me so rudely by saying, "it's a blessing we are not working together". No couple should experience such poor customer service especially when you have paid for a service, completely unacceptable.

My husband and I are both very fussy when it comes to good photos, we decided early on that if we spent any money on our wedding the main money would be dedicated to photography to capture the memories. Looking on yelp and websites for weeks, a friend recommended Richard. Being from the uk myself, I was drawn to the fact he too is British. We met for a consultation having seen the stunning photos on his website and blog. We both loved his style and ability to capture real candid moments In his images, as well as his use of negative space in photos that make them pieces of art. So much in fact that I was very concerned his prices would be through the roof. When we met him we were happily impressed with his professionalism as well as his friendly attitude, when I saw his price range I jumped at the chance to work with him. It was a tad more than we budgeted originally but we were impressed that he didn't want to sell himself short by dropping his price, although he helped to stay close to our budget and truly his work is worth what he charges. We decided on a package that included an engagement shoot. This was a great decision because it meant my husband could get used to being photographed (something he's not overly keen on). Richard made it comfortable and a fun experience, the images from that shoot only confirmed that we had the right guy for our wedding. We have already blown up several of that shoots images for our wall and used one as the entrance photo on the wedding day. On the day itself he worked with us perfectly and the end results were exactly what I had hoped for. The only negative I can possibly give him, is he's too good! Rich at Clarkie Photography was hands down the very best decision we made when planning our…read morewedding. It has been some months since the big day so looking back there are a few things my husband and I splurged on that may have not been totally worth it, BUT our experience with Clarkie Photography so exceeded what we imagined. Rich is so much more than a photographer; he's a true artist and you can tell by looking through his portfolio that he has a special eye for capturing emotion in a beautifully unique way. On our wedding day Rich was calm, on top of the timeline, and eased my nerves. He seemed to be everywhere at once, but he captured the day in a very non-invasive way. No interrupting to stage shots which was extra important to Chris. He worked so hard to move around us and our guests so we all could be "in the moment". THEN when we received our pictures, ahead of the expected date, and were BLOWN AWAY. Our wedding photos are gorgeous, unique, and flatter everyone. They transport me back to our wedding day in an instant. Our friends and family noticed how next level the pictures we have are and I've enthusiastically recommended Clarkie Photography to all our newly engaged friends. Prior to choosing him, my wife and I…read moremeticulously vetted a handful of other wedding photographers based on wedding portfolio, package pricing, schedule flexibility, and familiarity with a Vietnamese wedding. Needless to say, Allan Le checked all of those boxes and delivered on every one of them. We signed with him a year before our wedding. Throughout the process, Allan was very communicative via text and email. One thing that stands out to me is that our original engagement photoshoot date was forecasted to be rained on so Allan was very flexible in postponing it to a suitable date. At our engagement photoshoot, he knew where all the picturesque spots were at the LA Arboretum and came prepared with a wagon full of camera equipment. At our other location at USC campus, he found many inspirational shots that turned out amazing when we got the photo copies. On the days leading to our wedding day, Allan took the time to review our wedding schedule and provided great feedback on realistic time frames for each location. On the wedding day, he woke up early and arrived by 7am at my wife's location while he sent his assistant to my location to take pictures of me and my groomsmen. He was very knowledgeable about the traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony and gave great direction to everyone off the cuff because not everyone knew the process. Overall, he did a tremendous job throughout our wedding day to not be intrusive with our schedule, but rather, flexible with whatever we planned. Trust me, he's a very calm and easy-going guy. A few months after our wedding, we chose our photos to be added to the wedding photo album. Although it took a little longer than I thought, the final product was definitely worth the wait. We picked up the product at his house and it was well packaged, heavy, and had a thick picturesque cover. Each page was filled with great shots of happy memories on our engagement and wedding day, which our parents even complemented. We've already recommended Allan to a friend of ours and it was awesome seeing his photography craft on her wedding day, but as a guest this time. Allan definitely did his homework and and mixed with experience makes him an amazing photographer. My wife and I got married on 11/17/2019. We decided on an engagement session at the Disney Concert Hall and neighboring areas. We had some ideas of our own that Thomas put his own spin on and made them even better than we could've imagined! My husband and I aren't used to having our photos taken and he was very patient with us and made us feel comfortable. The photos turned out so beautiful and unique! John Park is truly an artist as well as a professional. My sister was worried that since he had never photographed a wedding at our venue that he wouldn't really know the "good" spots. But John came early to the venue to do some recon haha. He was always responsive to my emails and any concerns. He was amazing at giving direction -- patient, but not passive by any means. He took his time to make sure he was getting the perfect photo/poses (which was not easy with our group!), but still managed to amazing stay on schedule. I loved our group "vogue" shots of the bridal party -- not the boring or cheesy "funny" or "jumping" shots you see with a lot of wedding photographers. John was also open to any suggestions, but we basically just trusted him because he knows what he's doing!!! So many photos were so breathtaking I don't even know which ones to frame because there are just too many. He does the perfect amount of posed, artistic, and candid photos. He sent all of the photos to us, which I really liked (some photographers only send the ones they select).
